Lovely staff and really good food. My sister's wedding was just held here this weekend and the venue lived up to every hope! It was the perfect place for an intimate wedding, and great location for our family and friends. As a guest, I was throughly pleased with the hall's layout and timing of events! From the lake view to the beautiful lighting options, it set the scene beautifully.
(Cocktail hour downstairs was nice too.)
From a guest perspective, I'd definitely recommend them!

The Lakeview was the perfect wedding venue for our wedding in September. We opted for our ceremony on the beach, and it was absolutely stunning. Despite the hot day, all of the Lakeview staff were so positive and made sure our guests had a great experience. We opted to upgrade the main and it was well worth it – the food was fantastic!

Special shoutout to DJ Matt and all the bar staff who kept the party going! We heard so many compliments from our guests who all had a great time.

Attended a wedding there a few weeks ago and it was amazing. Great time. Food was good and the best part was the service. Staff was so helpful and they all went over the top to make sure it was perfect.

Nice venue right on Lake Ontario. Outside ceremonies offered but onshore winds move things inside. I suspect this is a common occurrence.

Great view, great food, lovely event staff and an awesome DJ Matt! Out of the available wedding and event venues in Hamilton, this is definitely a top choice.

I had the pleasure of attending a wedding reception at this beautiful banquet hall, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect.

First and foremost, the service was excellent. The staff went above and beyond. They were attentive, friendly, and professional.

The banquet hall itself was stunning. The elegant decor and spacious layout great views. What else could you ask for.

We got married at the Lakeview back in July and I couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Working up to the day with Alessia was amazing. She was always super responsive answering all of my questions throughout the planning process. Giona kept our wedding day going seamlessly. She was on top of every detail and kept it all running without issue. The food was fantastic and in-house DJ we used kept the dance floor full all evening long. We got so many compliments on the venue choice from our guests. The view out the windows all reception long were beautiful and guests really enjoyed getting to hangout on the balcony when not on the dance floor. Loved having our wedding here!

My daughter got married at the Lakeview and everything went as planned. Everything was perfect. Steven, our server, was efficient and excellent offering impeccable service making sure to ask about all our dietary needs. The event coordinator was amazing. Everything was PERFECT! I would recommend this venue to anyone I know. The evening was memorable and I was really happy to see my daughter and her husband so happy!

We finally had our wedding after postponing for three years and had an amazing time. Charlie was great when we had to rebook and was very responsive. We had a few different coordinators which made some communication a bit tough but all of them were amazing. Alyssa did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life. Matt the DJ was absolutely amazing so much energy and guests loved how he handled things. Food was fantastic and they did a really nice job addressing our concerns we had with the tasting regarding seasoning and changes etc.

The only comments I would say were that some information was not communicated to us which I think was partly due to the turnover of staff. We were not told for our signature drink that we needed to bring in our own label but that was not a big deal as guests found out and enjoyed it well enough.

We also were told we could not go inside the venue to take photos although the did let us in since it was raining.

They were also very quick to clear desert and coffee which is not great for slow eaters.

While its hard to complain about an open bar, I was a bit disappointed about the lack of options. I asked for a Old Fashion and Manhattan and was told they could not make either of these. Considering both are pretty simple drinks (bourbon, sugar, water, ice) I was a bit puzzled why this was beyond the ability of the bartender to make.

Overall amazing venue but would like to see a few changes still cant go wrong

The venue is beautiful. The food was delicious! And to top it off, great service. Madelyn our waitress was a delight. This customer was fully satisfied. Keep up the extraordinary job! Cheers

I attended a wedding here, and over all the experience was okay. Not great, but okay. The staff was nice, and venue is beautiful. However, the staff doesn't seem to understand standard dietary restrictions. I am allergic to red meat, so I can't eat pork or beef. However they messed up my cesar salad 3 times, all because I said no bacon. And then I didn't get to eat the main course, chicken, because they brought me vegetarian. If you are going to serve food, make sure you understand food restrictions.

Amazing venue and service! Our day was made extra special by the staff and their attention to details and to us.

I have set up many weddings here, and have always been impressed with the staff, the view, and the location. Plenty of parking, easy access and a warm feeling makes this an ideal wedding reception venue.

After postponing from October 2020, we finally had our wedding reception at The Lakeview in December 2021. Even though there were some slight miscommunications after postponing due to the pandemic, the staff, in general, were helpful and organized. Natasha was easy to work with and answered all of our questions. Gonia, our maitre d is one of the sweetest person I have met. She was amazing and so fun to work with. Thanks to her and the other ladies for taking care of us and our guests. They made sure we were all having fun. We didn’t get to do a food tasting but the food was good and the cake was delicious. The venue itself is beautiful and it was the perfect fit for the vibe we were going for - cozy and romantic. And that view is a bonus.

Experience was really good, with the exception of the double booking for the wedding rehearsal.

I don’t even know where to begin! This venue and team has been nothing short of amazing. We made a spontaneous decision to throw a 110-person engagement party 5-weeks before our intended date, over Christmas! The team was so helpful and responsive to all our needs. The event was everything we wanted and more - the super bonus point other than the amazing view and staff is that their chicken is halal and juicy! Executive chefs make a huge difference and we were all pleasantly surprised by how amazing the food was. Highly recommend this venue and team, can only imagine what’s it like during the summer!

10000% recommended. The venue, staff, food, dj, and decor are all 10/10.

Lots of great things to say:

1) Venue: the actual location is right off the highway (QEW) in Hamilton, beautifully positioned on Lake Ontario. Massive parking lot for all guests. With a cocktail room on the main floor and patio leading out to a beachfront, and with the main reception hall upstairs (wheelchair accessible) with beautiful windows overlooking the lake, the venue is just stunning! Further, the clean lines, wood beams in the reception room (and our ceremony room) vaulted ceiling and beautiful lighting throughout the space made this place full of whimsy, romance, and magic. The venue includes all decor, and gives an option for upgrades as the couple wants - we just did the base decor and found it breathtaking!

Note that we got married in November so we used the main upstairs room for the ceremony and reception, though other ceremony spaces are also available depending on your vibe (including beachfront!).

2) Food: food was literally amazing - and that is an understatement. The options for appetizers, main dishes, and desserts were all out of this world it made it hard to choose (in the best way)! We got the infinity package which included a full bar service (with shots at the bar included), table wines, the most delicious meal in the world, and late night pizza bar and cookies/biscuits.

3) Staff: our communications with our wedding planner Alessia was super smooth - she answered all of our questions and put us right at ease. Very helpful and available to answer questions big and small. During the rehearsal and day-of operations, Gonya (and Alessia) was a huge help to make sure the day ran smoothly. We got rained out for most of our photos outdoors, but they were super accommodating to let our wedding party and family use the facility for photos instead.

All of the wait staff were fantastic! Cordial, helpful, and attentive to the needs of our guests. Our bar staff were just as amazing and kept the drinks moving - the line at the bar was never too long.

The DJ was fantastic! Great at taking all of the requests (which we could give a list of requests ahead of time) while still reading the crowd and keeping our guests dancing!

All in all we cannot say enough what An amazing place the Lakeview is! If you are thinking about this place for your wedding - just say yes!

We had a great experience with Lakeview for our wedding day. Charlie, Alessia and Gonia were all kind and helpful and made it so easy for us to bring the day together. We had a December wedding, so still being able to have views of the water while we said our vows was so amazing, and our guests raved about how good the food was (especially the vegetarian stuffed squash). Everyone loved that the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception was all in one place and no one needed to worry about driving or changing locations. I loved that we could get the decor, catering, and DJ all through the venue. I would definitely recommend the Lakeview to any couples getting married - so reasonably priced for a beautiful setting, kind staff, and great 3 course meal along with appetizers and late night food and an open bar.

We finally just had our wedding here after booking over 2 years ago, and we honestly cannot say enough good things about the experience! Since we were booking during the peak of covid, we decided to book everything The Lakeview had to offer, from the lounge, to the ceremony space, to the DJ, to the honeymoon suite at the C. Hotel, and everything in between, and we are so happy we did. Charlie, Gonia and Alessia all went out of their way throughout the wedding planning process to ensure all of our questions were answered and that we were feeling confident on the day of. On the wedding day, everyone's professionalism was second to none, and the DJ Kirk left everyone dancing until the very end of the event. We received such fantastic compliments from our guests praising the food, staff, and overall atmosphere. We're so glad The Lakeview provided everything and more to make our day absolutely perfect!

At an excellent wedding. Good venue, staff first rate, food very good and an interesting view out over lake towards Toronto. If you are planning this place deserves consideration.

Both my husband and I cannot recommend the Lakeview By Carmen's enough! The venue is absolutely stunning the food was beyond incredible! Beyond this, the staff was exceptional - from the event coordinator, to the waitstaff during the recption, everyone was a dream to work with and helped make our day so so special.

Specifically, our Matré d, was incredible and deserves so much praise! She helped ensure that our day not only ran smoothly but also made sure that my husband and I were relaxed and enjoying our big day. She was in our corner the whole day and we truly cannot say enough good things about her!

My sister Sarah and her husband James got married at the Lakeview By Carmen’s on August 19th. Everything was absolutely perfect.

As their Maid of Honour and Wedding Planner, I guided them step-by-step through the months leading up to their big day at Lakeview.

Charlie, the General Manager whom they signed with to secure their day, was wonderful. Friendly, informative, let them know what’s included, what’s not included and what to expect. He was very thorough and detailed during their venue inquiry visit, which was very much appreciated. He also went above and beyond when Sarah and James had to change their wedding date due to the Covid lockdown. Thanks to Charlie, everything changed over to the new date with ease. He was simply fantastic. Thank you so much for everything, Charlie!

During the planning process, naturally over a couple of years the Lakeview’s Event Coordinator changed. We had the opportunity to work with Karley and then Alessia and they were both so lovely! Alessia was kind and friendly and did an excellent job organizing all of the wedding details, menu tasting and everything in between. Thank you so much, Alessia! You were a pleasure to work with!

Chef Trevor, your food was absolutely delicious as we expected. Our guests were raving about it and those with special dietary notes all felt well accommodated. The presentation was beautiful as well. Thank you so much, Trevor!

The banquet staff also got lots of praise from our guests for their politeness and hospitality. Table 6 said they “freakin’ loved that guy! ”

And Gonia, words cannot describe how lucky we were to have you as our Maitre’d. You were amazing. Kind, organized, experienced and incredibly hard-working, especially having to deal with such a large wedding party like ours and the amount of moving parts in the day. You had every last detail thought of, answered every question we had, and you certainly made Sarah, James and all of the wedding party so relaxed and happy. We simply cannot thank you enough for everything you did that day. It wouldn’t have been possible without you.

We had a wonderful experience with Lakeview hosting our wedding! All the staff was friendly and helpful. The whole process was incredibly smooth and all during covid no less. Lakeview responded to all our questions and concerns promptly and professionally. They also accommodated all our special requests and made sure all of our needs were met. On the day of the wedding, the staff was fantastic. Everyone was wonderful from the wait staff, to the bartender, to the hostess. The DJ did a fantastic job of incorporating our song list, guest requests, and a few additional gems into a playlist that kept us dancing all night long! Every course at dinner was good and the desserts were even better. The baker did such a wonderful job with our custom cake decorations and each flavor we had was delicious! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lakeview for any and every event.

Overall, we had a great experience working with the team at The Lakeview. They were very helpful with planning and answering any questions that we had, especially since our wedding was postponed by a year due to COVID. The team was overall friendly to work with. One difficulty that we had was with the continuity of staff, which we realize is not fully in the control of the venue, but did make communications a bit more challenging. Clearer communication regarding any staffing changes would have been more helpful to not feel out of the loop.

One major upside to picking The Lakeview as a vendor is that the package included so many different things, including but not limited to: food, cake, some decor items, a honeymoon suite, a wedding coordinator, a maitre-d, etc. This made the overall planning a lot easier as we weren't juggling a ton of different vendors.

My wonderful wife and I had our wedding reception here and the staff was so accommodating, quick to resolve any issues (if any) and so friendly. So professional, they were all so kind to us and made us feel like a king and queen on our big day. Everything was as promised, to the very last detail and the maître de Goia was the very best we could have asked for. Charlie, thank you for everything. We are so thrilled of the whole experience! Not a single flaw or fault.

Thank you to The Lakeview team for an unforgettable wedding day! This beautiful venue was the perfect sport to celebrate our wedding and a one-spot-shop for venue, decor, food, cake and staff. They list all their prices, so no surprises! This made it easy for us to budget for all expenses. Also, when the pandemic hit they made it easy for us to reschedule 2 times!
The day of the wedding the food was amazing, the view was breathtaking, the waiters were wonderful and our guests enjoyed everything minute of the event. The wedding coordinators were a godsend! Overall, you can’t go wrong with them! I absolutely recommend this place.

I attended a wedding and all I have to say is everything about The Lakview was amazing! The staff was excellent and the food was to die for!
