Goot food friendly staff and decent price. Me and my wife try to make it every payday weekend for breakfast. Verry clean and inviting everyone looking for the ma and pa dinner stop in trust me its worth it.

My favorite breakfast place. Mondays they serve free cookies! My coffee never goes cold as the service is consistent and the food is just so yummy and comforting. Eggs Benny or chicken and waffles are the go to for us, but I warn you, they’re addictive and you’ll be daydreaming about them until you go again.

This is a great place to grab breakfast, it's your traditional greasy spoon except the food is delicious.

This is as classic a breakfast diner as you’d get anywhere. Great service, tasty breakfast and there’s even a lunch counter!

If welfare was a restaurant this would be it. Burnt acid coffee, very salty bacon that's dry, the 18$chicken Caesar salad was lettuce and dry flavorless chicken.and vinigary dressing.the restaurant is filthy and if you don't know what food should taste like this is your place. The only thing we could finish was the bread and eggs. Suitable for homeless people and welfare bums who waste their money. Same prices as Pelham street grill which is phenomenal in taste quality and atmosphere.go there instead!
Reply: If every single aspect of the breakfast was very low quality we're not going to bother complaining about every single thing. We just unfortunately accidentally chose a low-quality restaurant. I pay the same $ for a chicken and Brie salad that is freakin amazing at Empty Bellies. Yes we were asked if "everything is to our liking? Can I see your receipt? " And our response was not "yes". I rolled my eyes and looked disgusted () and my boyfriend who was closer to the cash stalled in answering looked back at me and mumbled "well I wouldn't say that". () It's not our habit to tell the wait staff that the food is all very poor quality. It wasn't a "mistake " or "error". It simply is that The Lancer is very low quality and anyone who's looking for a delicious meal shouldn't waste their $ here. It was no surprise to us that the table behind us and the table beside us we're also complaining about the low quality, weren't happy with their meal, and decided to leave. If I didn't pay the same I do elsewhere a delicious good quality restaurants even half decent restaurants I wouldn't have bothered leaving a bad review. I felt the breakfast was a total waste of money.

Quick fast service, delicious food and well priced. Best breakfast in st catharines. Kids menu super well priced as well. Old style dinner brings me back.

Wonderful place for breakfast. Super friendly staff. Food came out fast and was cooked to perfection. Fed a family of 4 for $60 and even had some leftovers. Their special spice they use on the home fries is unmatched!

I had a nice time here a couple weeks ago. The milkshakes are SO GOOD! I had the vanilla, they give you the entire mixing cup! I had a half order of pancakes with bacon, the pancakes were okay. Very thick. The portions are great! Both the milkshake and pancakes were enough for two people to share. I would probably come back to try the lunch menu next time.

I've been going here since I was a young child, I'm now nearly 40. It is my favourite spot for breakfast. The home fries are the best.

I miss when the my were open later & their spaghetti & meatballs. Bring back the full menu

Had to wait a few minutes for a table to open up, but it was worth the wait! The food was great and the staff were very friendly! I would definitely visit again

Breakfast or lunch.you can't lose here. This is one of my favorite spots. Don't worry about the decor it just adds to the character of this place. Worth the wait if you arrive on a Saturday or Sunday morning

Waitress telling me how to park, snow covered parking lot, the nerve of her! Do not go there!

I find the food to always be oversalted and overpriced. The staff is friendly enough and you have a nice place with an extensive breakfast menu.
