I had a great experience at The Loose Moose in downtown Toronto! The Chimichurri steak Sandy is a true delight & a delicious dining experience. The ambiance and service complement the fantastic menu, making it a must-try spot for sports enthusiasts in the city.
Good stop in for apps and drinks with my group. Nachos were stale and they made a fresh batch that were soooo good! Fast service. Truffle poutine was amazing!
Had a perfect meal in the antler room. The food came out so fast and was really good. And the service from James was top notch. Will be back after the game for the band!
The overall experience was good. We were a ground of 6, and my food was spicy even though it didn't state it. I didn't get new food u til everyone was well past their meals. Overall good food though. The men loved the big fat burger (might be the wrong name)
(1) DINE IN: Really pleasant experience dining in at Loose Moose recently. Friendly staff, nice environment, and delicious drink and food (had fish & chips).
(2) TAKE-OUT: Really pleasant ordering the food over the phone with the establishment. Ordered the veggie burger. While the side of fries and caesar salad were delicious, the veggie burger was horrible - filled with jalapeños and effectively impossible to eat. The jalapeños weren't garnishes but packed inside the burger. The burger was virtually inedible, and I like spicy food.
It is a simple review… service is always great, beer is always cold and food is always as described on the menu! Onion rings are the best! Burgers incredible and I love the Mexican bowl! I’ve been coming since it was the armadillo in the 90’s! Matthew the bartender was great tonight! TY Mathew!
My fiance and i LOVE coming to the loose moose when we are visiting from ottawa, and he is currently in toronto for his bachelor party so i figured i'd try and be crafty by calling and ordering him and his buddies some tequila shots! I spoke to the general manager on the phone and he was SUPER helpful in tracking down my fiance's table and sending shots their way! Thank you so much for the help and the amazing customer service!
Always love this place. The food is great, the portions are big, and I've never seen a server get me a beer as fast as this place. The service is amazing, even when the place is packed.
First time trying The Loose Moose and I enjoyed myself. The food was good, environment was nice. Server was awesome. Thank you so much my overall experience was a good.
Came for my mom's birthday after a Jays game. Didn't mind waiting in line, bouncers kept asking for tables of 3, tables of 2 etc.
We were a table of 4, next up and literally the people behind us us got the table of 4 because they were 4 younger fellas and probably willing to spend more money so we were bumped.
Great food, great waiting, however poor front door management. On
The wings were delicious! The food is amazing, it’s so great! The wait was a bit long but it was also the day of a harry styles and blue jays game hahaha
Beautiful place. Went for lunch b4 the statium.tour concert. Love how they had def leppard, poison, motley crue music playing and videos on screens. Our waitress was an absolute doll. The chicken I'm the salad was the best grilled chicken I've ever ate! Juicy with perfect grill marks
Great place to go for a drink and food before or after a concert since it’s so close to the scotia bank arena. Super fast service. I recommend the nachos.
Multiple rooms to be seated. Friendly staff. Reservations are not allowed during event days - Jays, Raps, Leafs.drinks are on the higher end, "downtown Toronto" pricing. Example.a shot of Casamigos Reposado was $20 each. Why it's 4 stars despite the pricing was the atmosphere. Was very busy.
Skip the Chicken and Avocado Club, chicken was cooked well but overall it was pretty blah. The fries are excellent! Staff are nice enough. Decor/atmosphere is pretty standard "brewery/restaurant/bar" vibe. Check it out, just order something else.
This place is cheifly a drinking hole for before or after sports games. The draft beer menu is great with loads of options. The food however is not. I was served a chicken sandwich that I won't be explicit about but I will say it should have not been served. The staff gave me a heartfelt apology though and replaced the item free of charge, and the replacement fish sandwich was huge. It still wasn't that tasty of a sandwich but I really did appreciate their great service in lieu of the mistake. Good bar atmosphere, lots of TV's and seating - honestly a great bar as long as you are not hungry.
We had a weekend getaway in Toronto, attending Fan Expo and Beyond Monet. The Loose Moose was conveniently located near our hotel. We enjoyed the Notorious M. A. C.burger so much, that my son and I returned the next day too.
Great deal on wings! Boyfriend got the light and dark duo beer combo for $6. Caesars were on point, well made. Our server was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and in the zone. Good vibes and the ambience /decor of the restaurant makes for a relaxed evening out. We'll be back!
One of the more spacious bars I've been to that looks like it could seat at least 100 people. The service was great and my server was very kind. The Oklahoma sliders were incredibly delicious, however it's unfortunate they don't come in a larger size because I definitely would get a full sized burger. The truffle fries were also very delicious with the aioli sauce as well. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone getting off near Union station.
Honestly I was expecting a little more. Prices for downtown are reasonable, but nothing our table had was worthy of coming back. Chicken and waffles were alright, and the Woody burger was a little dry, served on a rectangular bun, which while tasting good, meant that the circular patty created bites of just bread. They have cheap beers each day which is nice, but so do some other places.
This place is full of energy and life. Quiet people probably won't be saying too much since the music and crowd are similar to a tavern and are quite loud. Other than having to speak over the noise the food is excellent. A wide variety of drinks are offered which is what this place is known for. Service is slightly slow walking in as you seat yourself. Overall a solid night out everytime.
Downtown Toronto near Front and Simcoe (steps away from Union Station).
Well, unfortunately it was busy with a huge wait so my buddy and I picked up a couple of beers at the bar. The 2 floors are completely packed! The beer service was quick and efficient for such a busy place! We were standing around chatting in the Antler room. Did see some Raptor fans present!
We left after 25 mins. Our table was ready but we had to leave for the Raptors game @ScotiabankArena. Would like to come back for dining next time and do a review on it.
I last visited the Loose Moose in 2013 and had a miserable experience (horrendous and rude service. Some of the worst I have seen in the city since moving here). My sister convinced me it would be different this time.and boy was she right.
Excellent service. Loads of energy in the room and a great vibe. And of course, the food was delicious.
Thought I give it a second try, and just like the first time, I was left disappointed. I Ordered the Big Bird this time, and the chicken was way to over cooked and there was more breading then chicken itself. I felt I wasted $20 on bread plated over fries with side of coleslaw. Both the times I went was during the Fan Expo weekend, and under the Fan Expo wedsite, there specifically was a list of several restaurants and food places that offered 10% discounts to individuals who presented there Fan Expo wrist bands (myself included). Loose moose was included and as we explained to them what Fan Expo offered, the manager simply pushed us away when the bill came and told us they did not know of this discount nor had any idea the Fan Expo offered this. He was thinking we wouldn't notice that all the staff wore Fan Expo sponsored shirts, but we did. With my first experience being just as bad, I do not recommend this restaurant at all.
Friendly staff and very good service. However.the Antler Room was quite outdated in decor, the drinks selection was rather low to mid end and the washrooms needed a reno.
We ate here during the Maple Leafs game. Food was good, bur the burger was a little bit too dry. The service was service and it’s a good possibility to watch a hockey game when the match is sold out or the tickets are too expensive.
Staff was friendly and helpful, no waiting time tonbe seated.
A lot of variety just a bit low staffed for the amount of space.bartender didn't know much about beer, she knew what an IPA was and kept offering lol.must of been a crazy night
Food has always been consistently good, service has been pretty good even during fast times and the prices are okay for a place that's in the core of downtown Toronto. This is a place I've been to many times for dates, catching up with friends, co-workers lunch or a late night outing, but it has consistently given me a good experience that I won't forget. In terms of price food quality and such, it's most likely a 4, but the consistent experience I've felt while being her makes it a 5 that I can revisit at any point and know what I will be receiving. Waitresses have been nice and friendly, but you can tell it gets busy so it's all about business when ordering.
Good beer selection! I can appreciate the wide variety of beers they have on tap also and I'm always intrigued to try something new:)
The beer selection was great. Service was slow, but there was a Raptors game starting later, so to be expected. The food was the problem. Fried haddoc tacos we're soft, tortillas were not even warmed. Tons of tomato made it even softer. Brisket tacos we're ok, but again, tortillas were cold and stale Meh fries. I had 5$ tacos in Kensington that were far better. The whole table was disappointed.
Busy night, food was okay but cold. Sent back the chicken tacos (cold) and the second plate was worse (heated by microwave so shredded chicken was a hard inedible mass). Korean meatballs tasty but thoroughly cold. Server was excellent though.
The food was actually really good and left us surprised. And for the price we felt we were done right!
Had a small issue with a waitress that was only there to deliver the food, getting snappy at my wife for asking for ketchup while she was on her way back.
First of all the lighting was so dark I couldn’t read the menu, I was able to see that there was macaroni and cheese so I just ordered that and it came out flavourless, cold and stale. I can’t say I’d recommend this place. The waitress was nice
Food is okay here I had the spicy Mexican bowl, for the price it could have been a bit bigger or come with a side. A 2oz old fashioned with an orange peel in it runs around $14. Visited at lunch, wasn't that busy yet service seemed a bit slow and disorganized.
Loved my experience here! Good beer, good deals (thanks for the fan Expo discount!) and the wings were awesome! Waitress might've been a bit overwhelmed cause it was busy but she didn't even make eye contact with us once, and barely spoke to us. I felt like a clingy person on a bad date, just searching for a connection.
Great food! Table seating for dining or a long bar with several TVs for anyone wanting to catch a game after work. Great drafts too. Warm lighting and inviting music.
First time guests, and it was a great experience! Everyone we made eye contact with said hello. We had 2 servers, as one was ending his shift, he (Scottish fella? With tattoos and man bun, great server) made a point of saying he would get us started and another server would be along. We appreciated that, he was happy to help even though he was ending his shift. Second server was also a great server, sweet, friendly, attentive. Food was good, decor is great!
Large selection of food and beer. Prices are decent for the area ($20-$30 a head) and the staff was nice. I went with a group of four without reservations on a Thursday night and we were able to get a seat without waiting. I would not assume the same for the weekend.
Enjoyable experience with nothing particularly wrong. But definitely a solid place to eat.
We went to The Loose Moose around 8: 30pm after a jays game. It was very busy but we only waited 5 minutes for a table. While we waited we sat at the bar for a drink and were served very quickly. The atmosphere was fun with loud music playing in the restaurent, lots of super cool decor all around and plenty of bartenders and servers. For how busy they were we ordered and received our meal in about 15 minutes. For how busy it was that was impressive. To top it all off the food was amazing. The servers and bartenders were also great. Downstairs in the Antler room i beleibe it was called, they had live music with more of a bar and party feel. I would go again forsure. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it was very dim lighting and very loud music for a pub style restaurent but I think the loud music was to cover up the pumping band that was downstairs. And If I was out drinking and partying with a group it probably would have been perfect. Check it out!
If you are info loud sport bars, nice atmosphere and decoration this place is for you. Large choice of beers. If you are looking for a romantic night the loose moose will not be your hit. Make sure of what you are looking for.
