Maharaj Restaurant in my knowledge cutoff was known for its delectable Indian cuisine and attentive customer service. The rich flavors of their dishes, combined with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, made it a memorable dining experience.

Food was amazing! Everything that we ordered was so delicious and presented in an excellent way.
Unfortunately, I wouldn’t go to the restaurant again as the service was less than welcoming.
Walked in at 5: 50PM, The restaurant was empty when we walked in and they gave us a 2 person table (for 2 people). I requested if they could provide us with a 4 person table. They said “tables are not yet ready, it will take more time”. We were there for an hour and only 3 other parties had come to the restaurant. When another couple walked in they just took them to that “unprepared table”. Disappointed with the experience. It doesn’t feel respectful to be lied to. So, we’re not coming here again.

I booked this place for a business meeting. The food quality has gone down the drain. Cold, tasteless, uncooked, and no presentation. Extreamly disappointed.

Amazing food and service is quick. Everything is yum. My son love the samosas and we love kababs

Some Bhindi was over ripe and could not be eaten. Stuffed chicken balls were undercooked. Slow service. Good snacks.

What an amazing experience at the Maharaja restaurant in Mississauga! The beautiful decor and table cloth set the tone for a wonderful fine dining experience. The four of us started with the Seekh kebab and a vegetarian platter which is accompanied by a tamarind and a coriander sauce and picked onions. For the main course, we selected the lamb biryani, the murg lababdar (like a butter chicken) and an eggplant dish. All were excellent. The final touch was the mango pudding. Delicious! We had excellent service through out the meal and we are looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommended!

The menu was extensive with dishes from various parts of India, including veg and non-veg options. We were served with a unique welcome drink. Then we tried their recommended mocktail drinks which were refreshing. I tried the Aam Panna which is prepared using raw mango, was too good. Other one was Rosee.
We tried Aachari Murgh Tikka, Lamb sheikh Kebab, Shajahani Baadal Jaam which is Egg plant fried, as starters. Both tikka and kebab were flavourful and cooked to perfection. I liked the egg plant fried though I am a pure non-veg person when eating outside.
For the main course we had Naan, Mutton Biriyani, a chicken dish ‘Murgh Lababdar’, a King fish curry, and a mushroom dish. Mutton in Biriyani was really soft and cooked well. It looked different from the Hyderabadi biriyani’s I’ve tried before, but was rich in flavour and not that spicy. Raita served was also unique and tasty. The curries were good with the Naan.
For desert, we had Gulab Jamun which was little bigger than normal size, but was rich and really delicious.
The service was really good.staff was friendly, attentive, and helped with some good recommendations based on our preferences.
The ambiance looked classy with elegant interiors. Overall, I highly recommend ‘The Maharaja’ for anyone looking for an authentic Indian dining experience. It is not a daily visit kind of restaurant but the food, service, and ambiance are all really good.

I must say quantity of food is very less as compared to price. I got only 4 pieces at cost of 16 dollars + tax. This quantity is not sufficient even for one person. Hence price is too high for the quantity.

Big Name, Great Ambience, High Prices, Ok Quality. Went in with a lot of expectations. The Maharaja is no doubt a great place considering its ambience and the vibe it sets. Though that's not all a restaurant needs. Their food quality is ok something that one can find in pretty much any Indian restaurant. Not the way its presented gives the vibe of a 5 star restaurant and thus the extremely sky high prices, don't even want to start on that. And again with the explicit prices comes the even so less quantity of food. If you are a fan of good place to eat without much thought of the food. This is a must try for that. If they work on their prices and quality of food this restaurant might reach new heights.

How did this place get rated top butter chicken in Mississauga? The sauce literally tastes like ketchup. Very sugary and tomato forward.

I am also offended by the portions of the gulab jaman. $8 for two pieces. You would think they would give a larger portion to paying customers when I see on other reviews they give this complimentary when customers dine in.

Maybe this is the experience you get ordering delivery like I did.

Worst service and tasteless food.
Manager on the shift needs to learn manners how to treat a customer with respect and kindness. Overly priced and quantity is to nothing compared to others where price, quantity and service is excellent.

This visit turned out to be a real hidden. Right in our backyard. The four cuisines are all so nice and truly royal. The service was fast, pleasant and courteous.

I have been here multiple times and I used to love the food however this time my experience was terrible. The food was tasteless and super expensive. It ruined our moods completely, we wasted a lot of food and paid a massive amount. That’s disaster of a dinner. Don’t go here

The Food was simply flavorful and délectable. The customer service was outstanding. Mahek went above and beyond We wer extremely happy with the Service rendered. Would strongly recommend this Fine Dining and would love to see more 'Maheks' all over in the Food and Hospitality Indusrty!

We have been there twice so far in 3 months and every time they exceeded our expectations. The service is awesome, food is great, not too spicy, the way we like it. The decor of this place gives a vibrant feel. Basically all boxes checked and it won’t burn a hole in your pocket. Great experience, will return again!

Doesn't live up to the hype. Nice ambience but the food is average and so is the service. Given the taste of food and the service, the menu is definitely overpriced.

What a great find. The staff was awesome prompt service extremely friendly lots of great suggestions.
They have several sections to the menu featuring different parts of India.
We had the shrimp and eggplant as appetizers and three mains. The flavor was outstanding. Some of the best food I have ever tasted

Wow, what an experience! In this historic building there are separate dining rooms paying homage to different themes complete with artworks (Mona Lisa in a Sari!) chandeliers, colour themes and a beautiful bar. A tour is given after you place your order and the guide enthusiastically describes these areas. We were started with a complimentary flavourful green drinks in small shot glasses. It was fragrant and refreshing. The menu is divided by cuisine and Tracey was amazing at explaining the dishes and the stories behind them. Anarkali Shorba is a delicious smooth lentil soup with a pomegranate blossom garnish that is a tribute to Anarkali and Prince Salim’s romance. Something about a ruby necklace he gave to her. We thoroughly enjoyed Haryali Murgh Ke Parche. This appetizer is a tender chicken breast marinated overnight with exotic spices, fresh mint and cooked in a tandoor. Yum! The main dish of Dum Ke Murgh Asaf Jah was an explosion of flavour. This chicken dish was stuffed with cheese, pomegranate and royal cumin served with a rich saffron flavoured sauce. Our rice was perfectly cooked as was the bread. All dishes were beautifully plated. Service was fun, professional, and very knowledgeable. Tracey was also mentoring a new staff member. A lot of effort goes into training the staff as they go through three levels before they earn their name badge. Our reservation was for six, as it was for others. They do not open their door until six so we all sat in our cars until that moment. This felt a bit off putting until we learned that half of their staff have their “tea” at that point. Sounds like they look after their staff and it shows in the service. We watched many other interesting dishes being brought to other tables. We will definitely be back to enjoy the experience and taste other exotic dishes. Prices are reasonable and reflect this level of cuisine and dining experience.

What is the point of a fancy restaurant, when you have to put your baby on the floor of the washroom for diaper change because they don’t have a change table and give no other options. Ridiculous! Also food used to be so good. Now the pricing has gone up so much more but quality has gone down drastically. I am not coming back unfortunately.

The ingredients seem to be fresh, and the presentation was remarkable. The ambience is really awesome with an elegant interior design. We were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. They were well-versed in the menu, offering valuable suggestions. The service was prompt and efficient. The outstanding food, enchanting ambience, dedicated staff, and excellent service make it a standout establishment. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
