The nurse named LISA. S Stay away from her. She is rude she is condescending arrogant thinking that she is above all. She is clearly in a wrong profession. Myself and my wife its our first baby and we are almost traumatized by the way she spoke to us. I am gonna file legal complaint against her.

From the first moment we spoke to anyone from the Maternity Centre (intake at 5 weeks), we requested to have our baby at McMaster Children’s Hospital so we had believed that was where we’d be heading for delivery.
We again mentioned it at 28 weeks with no idea that they had decided they wouldn’t be sending us there, even though they believed he was high risk (which is the only reason they would have sent us there). It was only at 37 weeks they informed us they would not refer us to McMaster, forcing us to deliver at St. Joes.
They decided to do more ultrasounds to keep track of his development and on multiple occasions made errors. When trying to discuss errors and confusion, one of the nurses was very dismissive, rude and even refused to give us information from the ultrasound findings.
During one of the physical exams, that same nurse, was very inconsiderate of the pain she was causing my pregnant fiancée, telling her “ get your legs down”. She had multiple physical, cervix exams the last weeks of pregnancy and that one was the most painful one. When stating we were uncomfortable with a stretch and sweep, she dismissed this.
We should never have trusted them with our second child’s prenatal care as they also miss diagnosed the size of our first child and it led to a very traumatic birth experience for both mom and baby, and left them with permanent irreparable damage.

Appointments made with specific doctors were always changed to different staff.the nurse practitioner was very rude and dismissive of concerns.this was my second child and tried to discuss complications with first delivery and they tried fo minimize my concerns and feelings.also several errors were made with ultrasound results and took seeing a resident doctor before they would acknowledge this even though I spoke to nurse practitioner for 30 minutes trying to get clarification.when had concerns, they said they would call me back to discuss it and never did, I had to call again and was told she had forgotten to call me all day. Nurse practitioner also failed to tell me they don’t do referrals to McMaster until it was to late to switch care providers.when seeing her in person, she was very rough during physical exam.several of my concerns were emailed to clinic director who never followed up with me.they don’t seem to care about patients, you are just another number to them.

Hands down greatest place in all of Ontario.

I just had my first baby & went to the Maternity Centre for my entire pregnancy and I couldn’t be happier. The doctors, the nurses, the staff, literally everyone is absolutely amazing. Everything about the centre and the programs are one of a kind and I would recommend any mama to be’s to go & deal with your pregnancy here.

The entire time I was treated and felt like I was truly cared about. Almost like family! I will forever remember and be beyond grateful for the amazing quality of love & help that I received from the wonderful people at the maternity centre.

A SUPER SPECIAL thanks to Dr. Black, Cheryl, Jillian, Lisa, Claudia & Every single other nurse, doctor & staff! Thank you so much for making my first pregnancy experience with you guys so amazing. I will never ever forget you guys and will always be so thankful for all you’ve done for me & my lil beb. You guys are truly wonderful & one of a kind ️

I was pregnant last year and in pandemic, my family dr sent me to the maternity centre, may be it is good for some women, but to me they neglected me. I was expecting my 4th child and in my 4 months of prenatal visit only once i was being checked by a dr.i saw the dr outside whose name was used for my appoinment every month but i was only seen by a nurse. In my 5 month, i was experiencing dizziness and symptoms of Diabetes, but they ignored the symptoms, and i was very low in iron in my blood test but they never told me, only when i was severly low in iron. They were rude and when i asked for a referral to dr, they kept telling me that only at maternity centre i have a chance to get female dr at the time of birth other thn that, there will be male, even after i asked for dr Rogers, they told me its male, but when i was diagnosed with gestational diabetes i wanted a dr to do pre natal checkup. I kept asking for a referral and they finally gave me one and i got a call, and thn i got to know Dr Rogers is a female and maternity centre nurses were kept lying to me, i dont know why.i found them racist.as they were setting up drs for other white ladies but i was seen by a nurse all the time.and they said drs were busy, i saw the same dr all the time seeing white patients. Disappointed and Thank God i was taken by Dr Rogers at Mc Master.i wont recommend them.
