Single handedly pulled me through middle school and high school. If it wasn’t for the Math Guru and their amazing tutors I wouldn’t have been able to keep up. The Math Guru brought all the new math to my level and taught me in a way that my teachers in school weren’t able to with the class sizes. My daughter would literally freak out every time she had math homework to do, it would take her forever to finish it. My teenage niece has always struggled with math in school, so I got her some lessons from Math Guru to help her get more comfortable with number crunching. She came out of those lessons feeling much more confident and comfortable with math. She said she loved her tutor and the fun and engaging atmosphere and approach used. Vanessa, the owner of the Math Guru, and her whole team are the most lovely people. I was struggling immensely in grade 11 math and going to the math guru not only helped me do better but also made me find the joy in math. It's a beautiful, calming environment with the most wonderful tutors. I highly recommend going here as it is not only an amazing place to learn math but you also get to meet such an amazing community of people.

There are plenty of reviews here describing how beautiful of a learning environment this is, so I’m going to skip out trying to show directly how amazing of a place it is for students since there are more than enough of those to convince you that its a great place.

As a tutor (a person who works for TMG), my employer is a dream come true—far beyond what I’ve imagined: clear, concise, consistent, and most of all caring. How everyone that works here checks-in on, discusses the most far-fetched topics for fun, and just be attentive to each other is something that many other workplaces lack. One of the defining features about TMG is the community and environment it fosters for the students. Truthfully, I can say that it is the same for the tutors as well. Here, we have a group of people, from different walks of life, come together to appreciate life’s complexities and work toward helping others learn to get through them (Math and Science being some of those complexities lol)!

For sure the inspiring way that tutors/mentors here are treated propagates to the learning of the students as well; the same wholistic approach Vanessa and TMG takes with managing tutors, is the positivity we as tutors carry on toward the learners. I’ve tutored many times before, but for this reason, here I am able to connect with students better, thereby increasing effectiveness of our sessions. It makes the experience on BOTH sides of the table just so much better. To know that I am actually getting through to the learners feels so nice.

Evidently, our founder Vanessa took time to not only make this a perfect place for learners, but for tutors/mentors as well. It goes to show how much care and effort she has put into building this place with the purest of intentions. Learning found a home in TMG, and I know TMG is ever-willing to invite the world to be a part of this family.

TL;DR: If TMG treats their tutors amazingly, you can imagine how much genuine effort TMG puts into their educational services, and continually strive to make it the best it can be.
