I buy honeytomb the other day, it was so goood. The ice cream is so creamy mixed with crunchy honeycomb. I didn't expect it would be that good.

A neighbourhood gem, catering to all kinds of dietary restrictions. Amazing establishment!

We’ve been to Merry Dairy a couple of times recently, and both visits were a fun experience!
Starts with friendly, welcoming staff.
Then delicious ice cream in many imaginative flavours.
The dairy/gluten-free options are important to some family members, and are equally tasty!
A wonderful local business that we shall support & visit often!

Excellent ice cream with a big range of vegan and gf options. The staff are awesome and very patient. Only downside is that the credit card machine does not allow you to tip the lovely staff. Hopefully that can be addressed soon!

The Blueberry Lemon flavor was a real treat! Very delicious and prices were affordable. I'll return, that's for sure!

Great tasting ice cream, got first a vegan option by mistake but did not notice it. All options are delicious!

Around Christmas time they had this one flavour.moose something.dropping? Anyways, 7 months later i still think about that ice cream sometimes.take 5 star and my money.

This is by far my favourite ice cream place in Ottawa. Every flavour is so delicious. The line up is long, but so worth the wait!

5 isnt enough for this place. The must try: coffee ice cream with salted blue cone. It has all the reasons to be crowded.

Best ice cream I have tasted, period. I was on a road trip with the kids all the way from Boston and this came up on our radar. No regrets, in fact lucky that we actually took the pit stop.

Yum yum yum! I love that they offer multiple delicious vegan options in addition to regular ice creams. Their flavours are so creative and change regularly, so it's a good excuse to go back again and again.

My partner and I waited outside for 15 minutes and we were the next to go in but as soon as it hit 8: 00pm (closing time) one of the employees came out to tell us (and 3 others waiting behind us) that they were now closing and we should come back tomorrow. They should have notified everyone waiting outside that as soon as it was 8: 00pm, no one would be served. Instead, they kept looking outside, watching us wait and line up only to come out and tell us to leave.
3 stars because I've had their ice cream before and it is delicious but this experience tonight was not good.

I love this cute little place! It is one of the best ice cream shops in Ottawa, hands down. Their flavours are unique, ingredients are high-quality and they have an amazing variety of products. We love their ice cream, ice cream sandwiches and cakes. Honestly, what’s not to love? ! Their earl grey/bergamot ice cream is to die for. Also love their funfetti and ginger molasses and oatmeal chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches. Lovely place, definitely recommend it!

I went here with my boyfriend the other day to try out the new ice cream. They had so many flavours, I couldn't pick! The staff were so nice and helped me choose a flavour.

My friend recommended we try this place for a Sunday afternoon treat and I am so glad we did. The server was courteous and friendly. I tried the vanilla bean custard on their homemade waffle cones with lemon curd and it didn't disappoint.
I didn't get a chance to take any photos cuz I ate it too fast so it wouldn't melt. LOL
I definitely recommend this place.

Best ice cream we've had in Ottawa. Must try the Ontario Peach flavour. They are not serving inside, but they have an ordering window on the Gladstone side. The line goes fairly quickly.

Delicious frozen custard and ice cream! There’s always friendly service at The Merry Dairy, and no matter how long the lines are, the wait has never been as long as anticipated.
Lovely outside seating (minimal), and the neighbourhood is gorgeous - it’s nice to walk around while enjoying a treat.
Our neighbourhood often books the MD truck to come to community events, which is a really great way to make those things more exciting for the kids (and adults, let’s be honest).

Best milk/dairy ice cream in ottawa hands down. Cookies n cream flavor was too good with freshly made waffle cone.

As someone with a nut allergy, I was very excited when I heard about The Merry Dairy, and it did not disappoint! The best hard ice cream I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back!

I had Merry Dairy wow our guests at our Pop-up cocktail wedding affair. They catered to us and our guests in the best way. They were super creative and even had his & hers Sundaes for our guests to enjoy great flavours. You can’t go wrong with Merry Dairy, they even had great vegan options for our guests with restrictions. Everyone got to relive their childhood moment on a warm day, eating their fave ice cream.

Merry Dairy was amazing as always! Long line but we had soft serve from the truck with topping - delicious! So sad that I missed my 'name' day this week but we went anyways and enjoyed!

The soft serve is amazing.but the hard ice cream is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Best ice cream in Ottawa. Yes, yes, I know it's frozen custard, not ice cream, which actually makes it WAY BETTER than ice cream. We will definitely be back)

This is Ottawa's answers to the Kawartha Dairy when it comes to ice cream. Try to visit when the flavour of the day is Butter Tart Ice Cream.

One of the best ice creams I have ever tasted. I loved the texture. The taste just wow and the waffle cone was also delicious. It would be interesting someday to try flavors like pistachio, macadamia or passion fruit

I’m not sure what the hype is. It’s good ice cream and it has very nice and polite staff but it’s nothing to write home about. I might have to visit it one more time and finalize my opinion on it.

Everything here is good but my first experience was with the ice cream sandwiches made with homemade cookies. I have never had a better ice cream sandwich anywhere.

I liked honeycomb very much.
The dark chocolate with raspberry swirl had a bit of rum taste, my personal thought, but it was also nice.

Always great. One of the only ice cream places in Ottawa we can take our son who has a peanut allergy. They are also the only place I have seen with gluten free waffle cones.

But for someone that is knew the ice cream names’ don’t say much neither in the website. A little description would be helpful

Stopped by one of their trucks. Was thoroughly unimpressed even before I got my ice cream.
- They were using rickety milk crates instead of a proper stool to reach the counter
- No menu for scoops, only soft serve
- Attendant didn't know what vegan options were available when asked
- Debit machine was on the fritz and took a while to pay
None of this stuff is a big deal really, but the soft serve I got had a weird rough, chunky texture and the flavor was off. It had a funk to it. Ended up tossing it. What a disappointment.

First time here and really liked it! We had the chocolate vanilla ice cream and the hibiscus passionfruit on waffle cone. Delicious!

Got the vegan mint chip “ice cream”. Best vegan ice cream I have ever had. Im not a vegan and was grabbing for this over dairy versions. A must try.

Love the waffle cones, mighty dips and pints.
Favorites are honeycomb, salted caramel and tiger tail.
