The Mule Hamilton

This is our place, the food is amazing, the staff is chill and inviting. It is the perfect date spot, great drinks and small servings means you just keep ordering what you want, watch some retro shows, and just truly let go. Mist visit for everyone in Hamilton.

We ordered the mule via ubereats and it wasn’t the best experience as everyone suggested. Food made us really sick and wasn’t of the best taste. Many recommended the mule but I don’t think we’ll be getting food there again.

Honestly disgusting rather eat at the local 711 after the food has sat there all night. Also feel like someone designed the place after taking acid

The place is really, really crammed. I'm 6'2" and I went with my girlfriend, we were promptly seated with no reservations which was nice. The table, however, was right in the back room and we were so incredibly close to everyone else. To even pull the chairs out a slight bit was a hassle of "excuse me's" to our neighbors.
Now to the food. Honestly I'm quite disappointed with the portions, I get that each taco is $6.50 but if I'm being honest, I work in the food industry.the brisket taco tasted DELICIOUS, however there was almost no protein on my tacos.this was the same energy for the beef taco I selected as well, except they compensatd by putting a lot of coleslawon it, i had to dig throughand take some out as it made up 70% of the taco (minor issue). The pork belly was amazing, that was portioned out very well, the taste was incredible.
We had also bought a $55 pitcher of margaritas which was really, really bad.it was almost too sour to drink. The pitcher was 90% ice which seems incredibly cheap to me.
I'm not going back to this restaurant. In total we spend $130 and I went to McDonald's after to actually get a filling meal.

I also forgot to mention the beef taco did taste good as well. The ingredients for each taco was very fresh and tasty.

Good food with quality ingredients that will satisfy all the taco-nnoisseurs.
Was a bit sceptic when I ordered the Brussels sprout one but it ended up being the best of the three tacos I had ordered (don’t get me wrong, the other two tacos were great, but that one is really something!).
Service was lovely! They have good mocktails, vegan and vegetarian food options available. Outdoor seating is in a pedestrian area which is very nice. A tiny on the pricier side but definitely worth it.

Best taco's in town.or out of town.any town really. All are great, and the jalapeño infused tequila cocktails rock. Great place.

Wide variety of tacos, menu items and drinks. The food is great and the kitchen go the extra mile to make it presentable. Service and environment are excellent, however at $6 a taco the bill adds up quick.

First off, I don't typically complain regarding service, but we sat in the back as seen in the photos, it was very dim, nothing really great to want me to sit there again, at least 10 lights out there, service was extremely slow, perhaps due to the fact they run so far for the food, Our food came out so so, after a long while for Luke warm supposed to be ice water Inna dirty jug, I asked to have ice 3 times, I get it your busy amd its far to run, then don't sit people back there or at least have a ice machine or much larger cooler that could easily be put there as there's waisted space to accommodate it. The calamari was litterly a joke, so soft if was gross to eat, tacos were ok, but guys, if your going to serve the tacos, at least make them hot. They put us Inna table of 5 on a table of four setup, place was empty so they could have taken 2 tables and combined them considering the food took up most the table and was hard to move around un cleared tables, 3 servers and hostess walked past at least 3 times and never 1 time tool our very high already stacked plates and glasses, let alone the old side plates. I was at least hoping to have a cold beer that was barley even cold, even that was fine, but again after waiting to have a cold glass of water In a dirty glass turned me right off, there are far better places that do the same stuff, and be sure to check those out. The corn was about the only think ok that we had, but to charge that much for 1 corn husk cut in half? I'd at least hope to get served bit quicker as I'm sure it came out hot from kitchen, but we did not get to enjoy the warmer side of the corn. Decor and ambiance was nice inside. BUT WE WILL NOT BE BACK, And we were told ot was great, but they dropped the ball this time, sorry guy u need to kick it up.

Excellent tacos, great to be able to have one of each to taste as many flavors. I had the cocktail "something with vodka" and it was delicious!

I love The Mule! I have been here multiple times, and every time I have had a great experience. The food is amazing, with a wide variety to choose from. The service is always super friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back again and again.

Food and service excellent. My bad for not knowing atmosphere, a bit loud and crowded for my taste. Would go back for lunch for sure if wandering downtown Hamilton

Heard lots of good reviews from people we spoke to in Hamilton about this spot. We're in from out of town on business and never had a reservation so understand we landed announced. Place was busy but not packed as it was a Monday evening. They asked us inside or outside but then offered the back patio before we really voiced our initial choice so we agreed. Turns out the back patio is a car or horse port on the side of the building at the back with a full roof. Dark and dingy even dirty to be honest. Place that usually would be used for storage, no resemblance to a patio other than tables and chairs. I am more disappointed in myself for not saying something at the time but I did not want to complain. It was good but could have been a much better experience. If you are offered the back patio please say no! Food was good and the staff were friendly. Message to the Owner do not sit people out there it's awful.

The brisket and the brusell sprout tacos are so good! The only negative thing I have to say is that the tables are way too close together and the bathroom was super smelly lol

We went for tacos and cocktails last night. The tacos and apps were delicious! I will definitely be back. We were served by Madison she was lovely and gave us just the right amount of attention.

Laid back vibe, friendly service, great food. Chicharron and crispy tofu banh mi tacos were excellent. Coconut ceviche was fresh and flavourful. The O. C.was a refreshing cocktail for a hot summer afternoon. Highly recommended!

A bit on the pricier side, but flavours are fantastic (you get what you pay for)! Nachos and guac were a decent portion, taquitos were good, and the tacos were fantastic: Brussels sprouts were amazing, as was the fried chicken (personal favourites), and the tofu, fish, pork belly, and beef were great as well. Our server, Kayla, was the best server I’ve had in my last hundred restaurant visits: attentive (didn’t deliver any food without coming back to check), was fast, courteous, sociable, and knew the menu and could make recommendations. Great experience overall.

Sat at the high tops by the bar, which didn’t give me the opportunity to see the rest of the joint, but I assume it’s just as laid back and cool as the bar. It did, however, give me the chance to watch some top notch films playing over the bar.
The margaritas all were perfectly crafted (the creamsicle is a MUST), and anything I ate was spot on, from the ceviche to the guac, chips and tacos—the chicharrón is completely bonkers and I could’ve eaten 5 more.
Cannot wait to head back to this spot for more drinks and to try more tacos.
Price spent includes the full margarita list I drank and some coronitas…not your typical bill.

Went there for brunch on Canada Day. We all had the tacos & they were great! Returned the next morning for breakfast & got the royal treatment as returning customers. I found the guava pancakes too sweet even without any syrup but the eggs Benny & home fries were fabulous, best we've ever had.

2 stars for the vibe but in all honesty this is the most white washed “Mexican” food you’ll get. Food isn’t bad, but far from authentic. Those elotes? A joke. If you want authentic Mexican food, I highly recommend Mesa on John Street North.

Food and drinks were delicious! A little on the pricey side as far as tacos go, but youre not gonna find better tacos around.

This was hands down the worst food I have ever eaten. If you like your meals to taste rancid and leave you feeling horrible for hours afterwards this is the place for you. I travel a lot and tend to go to taco places to eat as normally it is a hard meal to make wrong. I’ve never had a bad taco in my life until I went to the Mule. Every taco tasted like the filling expired months ago. I could get past the food being bad if the drinks were good, but even the drinks tasted like they were made by someone who had never tried a Margarita before In their life. Overall if I could give this place -10 stars I would. If you want tacos in Hamilton save yourself $100 and go to Taco Bell you’ll get better food and better service.

Booked a last minute birthday reservation for myself and 8 other friends! Food and drinks were great, but Kayla our server made the night the best ever! She was so kind and fun and all around such a great vibe! Very thankful we had her, such a fun time:)

The food is pretty good. The staff are great. The drinks are amazing. Music is always a bit loud.
