Went for a drag show and was impressed at the size of the rooms! A good size for any event you’re planning to host

Good rates for events,
But the catering was very underwhelming. Steamed everything day one, roasting would have given a better flavour and taken the same amount of time.
Second lunch was alright, the gravy was pretty much translucent brown water.

Can't say much about the rooms, the hotel as a whole looks dated and hurting, the staff at the front desk though was really nice in trying to accommodate me, but seemed ill equipped to give a discount on a sub 4 hour stay. She did pull through in the end offering me to sleep in my car in the parking lot though. This was very comforting as many northern areas are facing challenges with vandalism, drug addictions and homelessness and the crimes associated with the last two. Got my 3 hours of shut eye, tried to buy something out of the vending machines but most were barren of choices. The bathroom was acceptable but kind of dated, no funny smells upon walking in but lighting seemed dim or the color theme may have been dark.

None the less I'll be back to try the place in the future.

Never knew hotel existed right in the hub of Sudbury.

Close to Science North and Dynamic Earth. Basic accommodation with complimentary breakfast (Eggs, toast, French toast, bacon, sausage, juice). Many channels on TV didn't work. Sadly no swimming pool. Beds were comfortable.

The room is very clean and modern. Love the decors and staffs are fantastic. Perfect location for downtown Sudbury. Definitely will stay here next time I visit beautiful Sudbury.

It's a fantastic hotel right in Sudbury. The room was immaculate, and a great size.thought the idea of being able to bring your pets was amazing! Highly recommend if your traveling there.

Great place, checked in late, reception was lovely and helpful. Room was clean reasonably priced and breakfast was on point. Will definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.

Not a huge fan of the bright lights outside all of the rooms. Even with the curtains closed, light was seeping in which made it difficult to sleep (especially for an infant son)

Yesterday December 8th I reserved a room for December 9th via online site. I received an email with a reference and confirmation number as that the room is booked for myself and my partner. Everything was fine until we arrived at the northbury in Sudbury.they did not want to rent the room simply because I am a resident of Chelmsford. (Sudbury area) word for word. "We do not rent rooms to locals".

I loved my stay here. I was surprised by how modern and clean the rooms were. Hot breakfast with table service included. Best value in the city.

Older hotel so some wear and tear however it was extremely clean and had the most polite and friendly staff. The included breakfast was above par. Would stay here again.

I stayed here with my wife on October 9th and 10th of the Thanksgiving weekend. We specifically booked somewhere that had breakfast included as we had early starts trying to get hiking in before dark. We asked about the breakfast start times upon check-in and were told it started at 7am. Breakfast was good on Sunday morning, although the food selection was quite small it was still a hot breakfast. The staff in the breakfast area were really nice. The issue came up on the second morning, Monday Oct 10 which happened to be the stat holiday. We woke up and went down for breakfast and were surprised that the lounge was closed, the front desk told us the staff were off for the holiday and they provided us with a bagged breakfast. The "bagged breakfast" photo I attached included Keurig pods for the in room coffee machine, small muffins which were extremely sugary, yogurt, fruit juice, and very poor quality produce. I was floored, I've stayed at motels/hotels around the world including bed and breakfasts and I've never heard of them closing the kitchen for holidays, this is a service industry. I tried reaching out to the general manager Shelley to explain this should be noted on their site or upon check-in and she brushed me off saying it was a complimentary breakfast and to basically said "too bad". This is clearly not a complimentary breakfast, the costs are baked in to the room rates. Her rudeness in my attempt to express my dissatisfaction was extremely surprising, I honestly don't know how she's managed to stay within the hospitality industry for so long after treating customers like this. We would avoid staying here again, particularly if you're looking for somewhere with breakfast included.
The rooms and facilities themselves were adequate although dated.

Great place. Staff are super nice, room reminds me of a mini version at the MGM Grand.
The breakfast was legit (the eggs are hand cracked, I only know this as there was some shell in my eggs, not complaining, just glad they weren't bagged eggs), coffee is actually quite good.
Great little hotel, worth the stay. If we're ever in the area again, this is where we're staying.

Not a safe location. Staff are unpredictable and extremely rude. I recommend avoiding this place

Breakfast service very nice. Big problem is in cable/streaming service to TV in the room. TV repeatedly freezes and remains inoperable for varying periods of time. Multiple staff members attempted to fix the issues, but were never able to achieve consistent, constant service. Would not stay here again.

Overall was a good pit stop on our way though Sudbury. For the pros, everything was clean, and we were in a dog friendly room which is almost always dirty at other hotels. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is very close to the nickel and science north and shipping. For the cons, it's a bit isolated which is good and bad because we worried about the security of our bikes on the trailer in the parking lot overnight, but they were fine. And the tv in the room didn't have many channels but not a big deal.

Stayed 2 nights at the beginning of the trip and one more near the end. Rooms were clean, a little dated, beds were very comfortable, lots of pillows, free wifi, fridge and microwave. First days were great, we had a second floor room (no elevator), staff helped us lug our luggage up the stairs. Booked a first floor room for our one night at the end of our trip. First stay was Sunday to Wednesday and very quiet, Return stay was busier with a conference at the motel. Some rooms were noisy but not in the evenings or overnight. Free breakfast was average, but they did make me a fresh omlette when the waitress noticed I didn't have much on my plate and I told her I don't like mushrooms. She had the cook make me a fresh omlette. Typical buffet fare, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast pancakes, coffee, tea, etc.

Horrendous customer service. Hotel is not safe and management does not care. Stay literally anywhere else.

Fairly clean. Nothing special. Recently renovated rooms but the furniture was not updated. You get what you pay for. Breakfast was better than average for a 2 star hotel. Staff was friendly.

Bel hôtel propre et bien situé. Par contre, incapable de se faire servir en français même si leur site mentionne service bilingue. Bon petit déjeuner chaud et varié. Bon rapport qualité/prix. J'y retournerais sans hésiter.

Its ok for a couple of days its quiteish but you get off and on shower sounds. The breakfast is good for the hotel.

The room was very clean, cozy an comfortable. Breakfast was great. All the staff were very nice an the restaurant was good as well! Will stay again.

Pros - clean and pet friendly! Close to attractions! Had free breakfast which were limited choices and the breakfast staff were very nice and friendly!

However, front desk person while we checked in was not friendly and made us feel unwelcome!

Note - when we came in, the TV was already on which was weird!

The room was very clean, beds were comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. All staff were extremely pleasant and attentive, especially at breakfast, and safety protocols were followed. Definitely good value

Fantastic value! Staff were friendly, the room, bed, shower were all surprisingly great! Full buffet breakfast was included. Pet friendly! Would stay here again for sure.

When checking in there was some miscommunication between Expedia and the hotel but it was cleared quickly, efficiently and calmly between the two. The staff was very polite and professional. The rooms were clean and tidy. The reason I'm giving a 4 star is that there are not enough outlets to charge multiple devices at the same time and there was no exhaust in the washroom. They have arranged a decent way for guests to order for the free breakfast buffet. You might not get the fruit salad if you don't get up early enough. Bring your own pillows as the ones in the rooms were not comfortable. The bed is mentioned to sleep 2 but it's very uncomfortable as both people gravitate towards the middle.

This hotel has the nicest and most accommodating staff. When we had an unexpected change in our travel plans and needed to leave this location earlier than expected, the management of the hotel was very helpful and didn't charge any cancelation fees. Great breakfast too!

Très bien et propre bon service sauf qu'il y à de belle grand porte patio mais on ne peu s'en servir très décevant quand en plus on demande d'être en bas pour pouvoir une facilité pour fumé genre mais à part sa très bien comme place je recommande mais j'espère qu'il vont réparer les portes pour qu'elle soit accessible en plus si on pense au feu il ne sont pas légal du tout

To be honest my first opinion was not a 5* as we drove into the parking lot but we were quick to change it. From the outside it is nothing great but it is nice inside. All staff we encountered were great and helpful. From the front desk ladies, to the lady who poured us drinks at the
Bar to take back to our room and the lady who took our order for breakfast.
The room was clean and nice. Beds were comfortable and it was very quiet at night. Due to covid regulations, buffet breakfast wasn’t open but you had a menu you could choose from and they made it for you. We took it back to our room as the area outside to eat was wet from the storm the night before. It was a large breakfast and was very good! Our overall experience was positive and if in Sudbury again we would stay here. As they say… don’t always judge a book by its cover!

Great place to hold a seminar. Clean, efficient and hospitable staff make it easy for an out of town guy like me to feel at home.

Lovely hotel with immaculately kept rooms.
Breakfast was a treat & abundantly adequate.
Our personnel at breakfast was quite professional, courteous, and attentive.
The front desk team were also very courteous, professional and pleasant.

Restaurant is good but hotel staff does not communicate. We were in town for business and requested a late check out the night before we left. Three disruptions that morning wanting us out before the late check out agreed to, causing stress and, ended up making us late. Very few plugs in the room which is strange for a hotel attached to a conference center. In room WiFi is terrible.

This is a very well organized, clean and comfortable hotel with great staff and a hearty breakfast. Would definitely return.

Overall very good stay at this hotel in long weekend. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Room is clean. Breakfast is tasty. Location is good. The facility may need some upgrade but for the price I paid I will not compliant about it.

The staff is super friendly, the bed was very comfortable and everything was nice and clean. I was quite happy overall and would stay here again.

The absolute WORST Hotel Booking Experience Ever! My wife and I attended a wedding in May 2019. As soon as we received our invitations we booked our room at the NorthBury Hotel & Conference Centre two months in advance of our stay. Three days prior to our check in we called the hotel and confirmed our reservation. However, on the date of our arrival we were told by the check-in clerk that the hotel was completely booked and we could not be accommodated. I explained that we had made reservation well in advance of our intended stay and then followed up with a confirmation several days before our trip. The check-in clerk re-iterated, in a robotic like manner, that they were full and they simply had no room for us! The wedding reception was being held at the Northbury Hotel Conference Centre, which was the primary reason for booking our room at this specific hotel. The convenience of staying in the same venue relieved us of taxis, travel to/from another hotel, and it also provided an opportunity for us to visit with friends who had also booked rooms at the Northbury Hotel. Having just driven 7 hours and being greeted, in a non-explanatory and unapologetic manner, that they had no rooms angered me and I raised my voice. After much confrontational dialogue, the hotel staff made arrangements for a room at a neighbouring partner hotel. I will add that this only occurred when I persisted that they correct their wrong. If my wife and I had simply left we would have been on our own trying to locate a room for the weekend! We had NO choice but to accept this offer. Perhaps the bad news would have been easier to digest if the check-in clerk had demonstrated some professionalism and genuine compassion for our predicament. This was clearly a case of over booking and intentionally giving our reserved room to another patron. The check-in clerk's matter of fact, disinterested and cold interaction only exasperated an already bad situation. I would like someone to explain to me what is the purpose of booking a hotel room two months in advance of an intended stay, then verifying that reservation 3 days prior to check-in only to arrive and be told “sorry no rooms…sucks to be you”. There was absolutely no effort made on the part of the hotel’s management to correct or apologize for their mistakes. They displayed a disgusting, unprofessional attitude and equally offensive management skills. Shame on you!

Pros: Very comfortable bed and room, all facilities, outstanding customer service despite 1 bad case, amazing and tasty breakfast.

Cons: Ridiculous deposit of 250 CAD, and 1 bad case of rude behaviour of one member of the staff throwing the room access card to me in the counter.

Full handicap appointed room, even a bench for the shower! Restaurant had excellent food and staff was very accommodating.

Great location! Looks like it was renovated nicely decorated! Comfortable beds and pillows! Service was fantastic from front desk to restaurant and everything in between! Everyone was so nice and made you really feel welcomed and glad that you were there!
