The Oakville Swim Academy

Can't say enough about Instructors Sarah, Sophie, and Jamie at the Oakville Swim Academy! When we began the program in mid-July 2023, both of our kids (8 and 5) couldn't float without devices or assistance. In just a couple of weeks, they were swimming on their own, able to turn over and float on their own, and jumping, unassisted, into the deep end and swim towards the ladder to climb out.
Special mention goes out to the Deck Supervisor Kaylie who was both tough but fair in the evaluation and grading of our kids. She helped them feel good about their progress and helped them celebrate even the smallest achievements. Our son struggled with the rolling over exercise and was convinced he would never be able to do it, and when he finally did, Kaylie helped him celebrate which fuelled his desire to push himself further. Thank you Kaylie, Sophie, Jamie and Sarah!
* If there is to be one criticism, the floor in the change/shower room should be squeegeed, not vacuumed, after every class. On several occasions we slipped while moving about in the change room and there is definitely a hazard and a potential for injury.

We absolutely love OSA. My kids both progress so well with every session we book. The instructors are sweet and very good with children. The facility is spotless. We wouldn't go to any other swim school

My son has made a lot of progress since starting with Oakville Swim Academy. The lessons have equipped him with the proper technique and developed his confidence to take up competitive swimming. I'm so impressed with the instructors and customer service, that I have enrolled my daughter too. She was grown from a reluctant participant to a little fish, thanks to the patience and preservation of her instructors. I highly recommend OSA!

We went for parent and tot program. The water was too cold to the point that in one of the sessions parents and kids were all shivering. The building and supplies are pretty old. The teachers are teenagers or very young adults who are inexperienced and really have no clue how to teach toddlers how to swim. The customer service is rude and unprofessional.

Pool is clean and maintenance is good
But instructors are not good
I won’t recommend if you are swimming for a career

Our teen really enjoyed the course (bronze med). That includes the content and also Simon’s teaching style, which was fun and engaging.

We appreciated the way the program was organized and the facility was managed. We will be going back for additional courses! Thanks Simon and Maya!

Great place for swimming lessons. Our kids have learned so much here. Very helpful and friendly staff.
