I ordered 5 of the Thanksgiving turkey dinner meals and all five people agreed it was the best Thanksgiving meal they had ever had. So flavourful, tender and moisand the price per meal was more than fair condidering the large quantity of food in each meal. Thank you Oakwood Hardware team for making our Thanksgiving so delicious. Easily 5 stars, all round.

An amazing all around restaurant for families or a date night! I tend to always order the same item - The OH Burger. Delicious!

Great service and they are very accommodating to preferences and customizations.

Our experience was very poor. There were multiple flies around us, landing on us and our food (and we were inside the restaurant, not on the patio). The Paloma cocktail had about a half-inch thick salt-rim (WAY too much) and wasn't properly stirred, so all of the tasty parts were sitting at the bottom. The KFC chicken thighs were overcooked to the point of being tough like leather, and the souvlaki plate was just totally mediocre. Amateur hour. It's a total mystery to me how this place would have a 4.6 star rating. This is my second bad experience there, and my last.

What a great find in the neighbourhood! Our regular stop for Sunday brunch! Fresh fruits, delicious omelettes with grapefruit mimosa and warm cinnamon buns -yum!
Recently we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here with over 100 guests! Anne prepared an amazing menu for us that had everyone raving! The jerk chicken was to die for! The dill trout melted like butter in your mouth! I’m still receiving messages from guests about the amazing food and the friendliness of Anne, Emily and the rest of the team! They truly made our night epic! Cannot say enough about this restaurant! So happy to have it in our neighbourhood!

Great local restaurant with a unique menu that offers something for even the pickiest of eaters! Welcoming environment to families with LO's and are very accommodating! Highly reccommend

This is such a hidden gem. The Oakwood Hardware is easily one of the best restaurants in all of Toronto, and I would even say in all of Canada. The ambiance, service, food, and total experience are simply amazing.

Everything was delicious! Tried a couple of the specials and some of the apps. Nice ambiance too and great service!

Nice neighborhood eatery. Very helpful waitstaff. Food is delicious but no parking dedicated to the establishment. Only street and public parking. Must pay for either.

I first discovered Oakwood Hardware when I was out on a walk with a girlfriend. Their patio looked so inviting. I immediately checked out their website when I got home!

I love that they have the Oakwood Pantry where you can buy goods to take home and enjoy. I also love how they have special meals for every occasion! They also change their menu up to use the most fresh, local ingredients.

I was so excited when patios opened up again, and my partner and friend came here for dinner on Saturday night. I was able to make a reservation through Yelp very easily, and they even send you a reminder and ask you to confirm closer to the time.

Our server was bubbly and fantastic. I thought I knew what I wanted to eat b/c I am definitely one that looks at the menus ahead of time, but then the server surprised us with a bunch of dinner specials! I love that their menu has such a variety of cuisines. My partner and opted to share a few things. We had the greek salad, the potato and leek soup, korean tacos, mac and cheese and onion rings. I literally have nothing bag to say about anything. The greek salad was perfectly dressed and had a nice portion of feta. I love that the mac and cheese had the crispy bits of pasta. And the onion rings weren't greasy at all and came with a delicious aioli.

The drinks were flowing as well. I had the white sangria - delish! The guys had beers.

I can't wait to come back. The prices are really affordable too.

Tried to order during pandemic, sign said they opened at 4 so I called at 4: 20. Person answering phone told me they were not open so when I asked what time to call back I was told “don’t know”. Lots of other options in the neighborhood.

Food was so delicious! Great experience, staff were very pleasant and service was excellent. Will definitely go again sometime soon

We enjoyed a wonderful patio dinner. The service was great as was the food. I highly recommend the red sangria. Dinner was enjoyed by the whole family as we always have here.

Get out there and support them. It's more than safe on the patio and I was surprised there were any empty tables. It was amazing to finally dine out and also enjoy the weather. We can and definitely should live again!

Enjoyed a great KFC sandwich out on the patio. Service was excellent- they even let my friend charge her phone inside while we ate.

Such a gorgeous building! I can't wait for the patio to be open. Support local businesses by taking advantage of the market of gourmet grocery items, drink selection, and of course there's amazing baked goods and regular entrees. I got a burger some croissants for a late brunch and can't wait to go back see what else Anne has in store. Really really pleased to have found this local gem.

My wife and I, along with several members of our family have dined at the Oakwood Hardware Restaurant, in the dining room (pre-COVID), recently on the patio, and now regularly for take-out. The service is always top-notch, the atmosphere equally exceptional, and the food is fantastic! We have indulged in just about everything on the menu since the re-opening, along with many of the daily specials, and have never, ever been disappointed! In addition, the OH Pantry has so many great homemade and locally sourced items such as soups, treats, cheeses, handcrafted items, etc. A great place to visit and treat yourself to some of the excellent fare!

Great patio atmosphere with extra heaters for the chilly spring evenings. Due to COVID-19 they have to close early but they are very gracious and polite to warn you when the time comes near. I recommend the brisket taco! It was divine!

Originally posted just the rating with no review, the restaurant wanted to know why so here we go. I ordered the KFC sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. The sandwich was incredibly greasy, saturating the bun with grease and it felt like rock sitting in my stomach afterwards. In that way, it lived up to its KFC namesake. The sweet potato fries were soggy, unseasoned, and covered in grease from the chicken. It’s possible that we got unlucky with delivery - I’m sure this would have been better if eaten fresh, but 2021 won’t allow. I feel bad about the harsh review, but the meal I was served does not deserve more than one star. For the record, my brother was happy with his burger and side salad. Will update this review if the family decides to order again.

Would certainly recommend trying out this place. Awesome ambience, tasty food, excellent customer service. 5 stars.

I absolutely LOVE the Oakwood Hardware.

I was looking around for a restaurant that has high quality food, and a great atmosphere. I tried quite a few places (pubs, mid-high end restaurants, etc), but was never super satisfied.

Then I tried Oakwood Hardware and the staff was great, bartender hilarious and I even chatted a bit with the manager & owner. Great people all around, and I couldn't recommend this restaurant more.

Visited a couple of times before the fire and experienced great menu choices with awesome flavour. Service was friendly and exceptional.
Since they have been opened for pick-up we have had a couple of dinners that were delicious and traveled well. Overall a great establishment and hope to enjoy the patio soon.

The OH Pantry has recently started offering shakes and sundaes out the side door and they are to die for! Especially the raspberry coconut shake and blueberry cheesecake shake.perfect beachy vibes for a hot evening ~

Had the burgers and fries along with the in-house beer.

Beer was light, 4.5% alcohol. Refreshing on a hot summer day.

Burger was a good portion. The patty was just slightly undercooked for my own personal preference, but the fault was my own as I should have specified.

The fries were great. Haircut fries, crispy (some might find them a bit dry but I loved them). The salt is was the clencher. They use kosher salt so you get bigger grains similar to sea salt. Works fantastic with these fries. Didn't really need the ketchup.

Great place though. Friendly staff. Nice outdoor patio.

Great food and super friendly staff. Interesting and we'll balanced menu items with influences from various cuisines. The seafood coconut curry dish was fantastic. They also do brunch buffet on Sundays 10-2 with eggs made to order. Will go back for sure.

We went there as a suggestion by my sister. It turns out a great choice with Oakwood atmosphere and good portion food. The server was very helpful and informative. I think you'll be very happy trying this restaurant that used to be a hardware.

Wonderful owner who supports publicly funded education and those who fight for it. A beautiful interior with handmade furniture and lighting fixtures. The bar with tools resting under clear resin is super cool! Vegan options.:)

Friendly welcome. Our server Joel very knowledgeable about the food and made suggestions. We opted for appetizers and entrees. Excellent mussels, tacos and salmon chowder. Korean fried chicken tasted wonderful as did the burger. No room for dessert. Next visit will be entrees and dessert. Highly recommend.

I really want to like this place, as I went to one of the brunch buffets there two years ago and it was good. But since then, it doesn't seem like they've gotten their act together. I understand that there was a fire and they were closed for a long time, but the "open" times were still listed on their website and more than once I thought they would be open but turned out to still be closed. More recently, I tried to make reservations for a dinner on Boxing Day, but they will be closed then too, and I had to wait an extra day and a half to call to make the reservations because they're closed on Mondays and don't use any kind of online reservation system. At this point, it doesn't really matter if the food is good because they've made it too hard for me to even get in the door.

We jad our staff Holiday party here and what a fabulous surprise. Great food, fair drinks, and great service. Worth a try if you like a good neighbourhood restaurant with good food.

Have to update my prior 4 star review. My initial dinner experience was good. Decided to try brunch and it was sadly horrible. The selection was minimal, everything including the made to order eggs Benedict were dry. You could barely cut through the items. They also only give you half an eggs benny which for the cost seems unreasonable. The bacon was undercooked and the sausages were cold. So disappointing for a birthday celebration. The $20 was not well spent and they charged for sub par coffee. I don't know why others rave about the brunch. Too bad it's such a polar opposite experience.

Absolutely lovely in every degree. Great service and fabulous food. The house red was awesome. Had a family meal here and it does not
disappoint. Shame I live in the UK as this would be a regular haunt

Cool vibe, super friendly staff, great food. Every item on the meze board was high-quality and went well together. The "KFC" fried chicken uses perfectly juicy and crispy boneless thigh meat, and a great value for the huge portion size. Cocktail and local beer selection is solid. Overall great spot for a cozy meal in a fun space.

We went as a group of nine to celebrate a friend's upcoming wedding. Out of the nine of us, there was two vegans, one dairy allergy, and myself who has a sleuth of allergies. We were *that* table, but out server, Joel, never made us feel like a bother. He was quick, charming, well versed in the menu, and was always refilling our water glasses. It was a hot day on the patio and he was ensuring that we stayed well hydrated. It's clear to see why he's the lead server.

The food we had was delicious. Some of our group had the Summerlicious items which came highly recommended by Joel and were stunning. Everything was wonderful, and I'd strongly recommend this place to any and all of my friends.

The food is amazing! So much creativity and a wide assortment of different flabours. We have loved our meal every time we have come here. The staff are also really great, they are super nice and care about how your meal was. So glad you guys are open again!

A group of 4 of us went here for dinner last night. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I had the calamari and berry mint salad. The calamari was nicely seasoned and crispy, the berry mint salad had a lovely light dressing that complimented the mint and berries. The staff really went out of their way to look after us. Our new favourite place!

Decor is nice and relaxed, with an easygoing vibe. Servers are attentive and friendly, but service itself is slow. Our food took about 45min to arrive and it was already later in the evening (almost 9pm). A complaint about the dish was dealt with professionally, promptly, and the chef herself came out to talk to our table and make sure we would leave happy. Maybe a bit more time will help this place grease the rusty spots- for now, good enough for a glass of wine on a slow evening.

Finally something in the neighbourhood! Amazing burger, great fries, taco was good, service was amazing. (Guy behind the bar, meh)

If you live in the Oakwood area of Toronto, this is a place that could be one of your favourite local spots. They have a nice patio, off on a small side street, and have specials now. Which is a great improvement since their renovation.

My husband and I went to a great restaurant called oakwood hardware the food is amazing and the service was terrific the server we had was very knowledgeable his name was joel the restaurant chef such a lovely lady to surprise us with dessert. All family and friends I highly recommend this restaurant.

I just had my birthday dinner here last night, and wow. What a night. Super accommodating, they had us out on the patio, but were prepared to bring us in if the weather didnt hold up.
Our server, Emily, was awesome! She was so friendly, helpful, and patient with us, despite our staggered arrival, and made everyone feel right at home.
Food was amazing and super fresh. I had the vegan curry bowl which was super delicious. I heard rave reviews about the burgers from my friends, and the cauliflower/broccoli starter was to die for.
I just moved down the street from The Oakwood Hardware, and I think I just found my favourite restaurant. I will 100% be going back!

The Cavalletti Spaghetti was amazing, and the vibe was great. The servers were awesome with their attentiveness, and the bartender was super funny. Good music and a fantastic chef.
