The food was great and filling. Had a server asking if we needed anything close to every 10 min or less. The atmosphere was a bit boring with nothing going and no music bit it allowed us to just talk amongst ourselves.
Great place with lots of seating. Lots of different wines from vineyards around the area on selection to drink. Food was good as well, a little on the pricer side but good serving and flavorful. Has good parking space and great staff that was helpful
I was pleasantly surprised by this place, just went in before going to winery to have a quick meal. The food was delicious - pasta, pizza was amazing but the soup was something else. The staff were friendly and welcoming and got a nice table in corner to have a great view of both inside and out.
Pretty good food, decent atmosphere. It was really busy so I would advise making a reservation. The food was reminiscent of the Keg to me. I enjoyed everything I ordered.
Calamari was fried and not rubbery at all, it was really good thick pieces. Really enjoyed the Brussels Sprouts.
Gnocchi was pillowy and tender, the creamy sauce goes with the dish perfectly. Nice winter meal.
Short Rib was very tender, cooked very well and good portion sized meat, sides could have been bigger. Was still tasty
Fettuccine Carbonara with Chicken was decent, didn’t really taste like carbonara though…
We had a small wedding dinner here. The service was incredible and food amazing. Would definitely go here to eat again and highly recommend it for any occeasion
The food was decent (I'd go back, which is the acid test), and the service great. We had a half litre of the 13 Kings cabernet franc, which was fantastic. I returned the next morning to the wine shop below to purchase a few bottles. I wish the lighting was a bit dimmer. It wasn't crazy bright, but I think it hurts their vibe a bit. I know there are some elderly residents in the area, so I sort of get it and it wasn't crazy bright or anything.
Niagara Falls is best on the Canadian side (hands down). The best advice after is to get the hell away from the overpriced chain restaurants around the Falls. We did & happy we did. We just drove out on the main road until we found something. It wasn’t long at all until we found The Old Winery.
We were tired, hungry & still drying off from the Falls. This was a great place for a nice warm meal. I had a pasta & chicken dish. The pasta was perfect & the chicken had a wonderful flavor & not dry at all. The other dish was a piece of dark meat over a brown gravy & was perfect.
Went here for dinner based on hotel recommendation. It was amazing. Our server was busy but managed to make us feel like we were her only table. I had the shrimp pasta and it was delicious. I ate too much. We shared a bottle of JT Cab Sauvignon and it was an incredible bottle of wine. Please go.
We booked a reservation for Saturday October 28th for 10 people at 7: 30. Parking is a challenge as it was busy and luckily we found the last 2 parking spots. It was busy in the restaurant and the food going out to the tables looked great. We were seated and placed our orders just after 7: 30. Everyone ordered a main course, and 1 appetizer was ordered also. The waitress said that she would put the order in all together so everything would be ready about the same time. The pizza appetizer arrived quickly. It looked good and the rest of us waited for our meals. There were people that arrived after us, were seated, their orders taken and they finished their meals including dessert before our food order arrived. We ordered 3 pizzas, 1 pork chop special and 6 pastas. After waiting approximately 40 minutes, I asked the waitress if our order would be ready soon. She said it was Saturday and busy and should be about 10 minutes. After another 20 minutes I asked how much longer it would take, and she seemed irritated that I was asking again. I said that 2 tables that came in after we did, were seated, served and finished eating. She said it would be soon. Our meals arrived at 20 to 9, which was 1 hour and 10 minutes from when we ordered our meals. Closing is at 9 and they were busy setting up the tables for the next day. It was busy that evening and very loud in the restaurant so carrying on any kind of conversation with people at our table was next to impossible. Our meal was average. Our waitress seemed very apathetic and we felt that the service was awful. We would have appreciated it if the waitress would have been proactive and let us know that our meals were delayed and conveyed that to us instead of having to ask her a few times when it would be ready.
Rob, you’re a disgusting human, a narcissist of a fellow, that believes in yelling at your customer over a failed pasta dish somehow makes us want to stay here. Your Public Health Inspections are atrocious as well as your service.
If I could give a negative star I would…. Food is terrible, owner yelled at us in front of his whole bar staff. Unprofessional and exceptionally rude.but hey, what does he care, he microwaves send backs and yells at all his staff.
I visited the restaurant on Saturday with a group for a birthday luncheon. The servers were friendly and attentive. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice - airy yet cozy. However, I was not very impressed with the food. It was nicely presented, however, the temperature was moderately warm when it reached the table. I ordered for the main course short ribs and found them to be stringy and somewhat dry. I definitely would not recommend them. The best part of the meal was the bed of mash potatoes that the ribs were placed on. I asked others how their food was and admittedly they had similar comments about the nice presentation, but the taste was "okay", but definitely nothing to rave about. Five stars for service and atmosphere, and 3.5 stars for food (rounded to four stars)
We haven't been here for a few years after a not very good experience, however thought we would try it again. Too many simple mistakes, 1. Not being acknowledged on arrival, even though 2 staff were chatting at the counter, 2. The menus are very tatty, this is your window to your business. On the positive side the food was very good, and I was delighted to see that they keep the Local wine prices at a more reasonable level, promoting them. We will be back soon.
