Amazing experience. Food was absolutely delicious. Didn't feel rushed. Staff were attentive and friendly. Piano player provided great music. This fine dining restaurant is a must go to. You won't be disappointed.

The Olde School House went above and beyond for my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary. Everything was perfect. Thank you.

Amazing experience. The service was top notch (Lenny went over and above giving us a tour and history of the school house). The food was first rate. Restaurants with food and service like this are a thing of the past. If you are travelling or live in the SW Ontario, stop in. Nostalgic atmosphere is one of a kind.

Visited here recently and was quite underwhelmed considering the reviews and price point. Service was quite impersonal and slow. One of the two appetizers we ordered never came, and when the entrees arrived without the sides the menu claims are included (soup or salad), the waitress made it seem as though it was our fault for not asking for it. Since when do you need to request the full meal? Desserts weren't anything to write home about either. Overall not a restaurant I would recommend to others due to the variety of issues we encountered.

This is a restaurant that clearly tries to punch far above its calibre.

My wife and I frequent fine dining restaurants in Toronto and Oakville. The Olde School restaurant tries to present itself as fine dining, but the atmosphere, the service and the food are not even close to good enough. It tries far too hard to be upscale and fails.

When we walked in for Sunday brunch, we were asked if we had a reservation, which we didn’t. Instead of saying no problem and seating us, the hostess said “okay, I’ll be right back”, making it seem like it would be difficult to seat us. They had about 4 or 5 tables of people in the entire restaurant. There were a LOT of open tables.

We made the mistake of not looking at the menu before coming. We were hoping for a solid brunch menu and it was pretty disappointing. There are appetizers and a very bizarre fix priced option where the fixed menu items don’t seem to go together well at all.

The atmosphere is stuffy. The wait staff are far over dressed and you can tell this place tries way too hard to be upscale.

We had about 3 different wait staff and we were interrupted probably every 5 minutes throughout our meal to ask if we wanted more coffee, orange juice or water. Instead of working around us, they kept saying “pardon my reach” and constantly reaching across the table.

The bread we got was cut in a weird way so that the pieces weren’t actually fully cut. If it was truly fine dining, they would have cleaned the crumbs off the table between courses, before changing cutlery. They don’t do this.

For appetizers, we got bacon wrapped scallops, which had no flavour and were seemingly cooked from frozen. We also shared the smoked salmon appetizer, which was just okay. I would’ve expected some sort of pickling of the onions or something at a restaurant like this. They were just plain, red onions.

For mains, my wife got the eggs Benedict and the eggs were poached hard. That was a big miss on a basic brunch item. I got a very disappointing diner quality omelette. We both have a love of diners and wouldve been okay with the quality of food had it been a diner, but a place like this should have much better food. Very disappointing - we won’t come back.

I just went to see the building, which was once a school, a beautiful building. I will return for dinner or lunch

Amazing experience! Dining here makes it seem like you're far from home and taken back in time. Truly a remarkable experience and the steak I ordered was the best I've ever had and the value for the price is incredible.

Such a beautiful restaurant, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported back in time! The most excellent staff you’ll ever experience. Food is incredible, the decor, beautiful, you’re always made to feel very welcome. This is our “going out for a very special dinner restaurant. ” Recently attended a surprise birthday party for a dear friend. They have a nice little room in the back for 12, with our own private washroom, and a small room where we put the gifts. I will tell you, we we were boisterous, but since we were separate from everyone else, no one was bothered and we had the time of our lives! Let them take good care of you! And, enjoy a delicious meal.

Amazing food, ambiance and service. Shannon was beyond Wonderful. Highly recommend The Olde School. Yes, it’s pricey but hey, you only live once and it is truly worth it.

As for all the negative comments from all the “Karen’s” go to McDonalds. It sounds like it would be more to your liking.

Nice spot and thought it would be a nice place to gather with our family who were in town for a wedding. We were there for a
brunch buffet. We were shocked that they included a tip on the buffet bills when we actually served ourselves. Hoity toity.

Favourite fancy place to eat in the GTA. The experience, aesthetic, and feeling you get here is so unique, I hope they never close this gem Service is incredible:) Our family loves to come here for special occasions:)

Had dinner in the Principals room. Lovely pianist/soloist. Quite spot very homey. Dinner options were great, food was well made and very tasty. Servers were not very engaging, and dry.

Saganaki was a good appetizer. The filet mignon was not tender at all, ordered medium rare. Should have cut like butter but was very tough. My spouse's peppercorn steak was good, dessert selection was good, we share cherries jubilee. Overpriced based on the quality. The highlight was the pianist.
