The Olive Restaurant

Great place for breakfast and lunch.
I've been here a few times, and the staff are friendly, and the food is great with decent size plate portions
You won't be disappointed! It's now my go to place when I am in Etobicoke

I am going to the Olive on today, as the Toasted Egg/Back-Bacon sandwich my old-friend brought over to the office is stellar. I am truly looking forward to going to The Olive again, as Saturday mornings are just not the same without a great diner breakfast!

Saturday 11: 40am, yes it was late for a breakfast run, but.
My little family returned to overturn our thoughts as the last time the 4 breakfasts were only warm as well.same as this time, and turned cool in a couple bites.
Toast was to light to be considered toasted; the baked-beans I had to send back as they were obviously removed from the microwave and sent to the table without so much as a single stir.
The wait-staff were friendly, very polite and always available, this is solely the reason I returned to give The Olive another Canadian try.but, ughhh

I ordered pancakes thru UberEats. I wanted plain pancakes but adding a fruit (at additional cost) was required. The pancakes were burnt on one side and gooey in the area around any (unwanted) strawberries.

I am giving full stars for service and atmosphere because the Uber was fine and I enjoyed dining at home and there’s no N/A option

My favorite spot for breakfast, I got the hungry man breakfast. 3 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage and a slice of ham. It comes with home fries and toast. We also got French Toast instead of pancakes. Great Breakfast Place, good service and friendly staff. It's all ways busy so don't be in a rush. I thought I would have something different today and I got the Hurricane Omlette. It has ham, bacon and sausage with cheese. You can call it a meat lovers. Have a look at the pictures and press the like button!

UNSANITARY NOT CLEAN. FELT SICK TO MY STOMACH
I found hair in my potatoes, I didn't end up eating and just waited for my friend to finish. He chose not to eat the potatoes in his meal.

I wasn't compensated or told hey can we replace that for you, I didn't chose to overreact like the average person would. But that's a dirty hair strand in your food, thought it would never happen but I was wrong.

Old and outdated decor. Just overall a horrific experience.

They have video footage of the incident, I didn't even touch my food and clearly it was right in front of me. Not sure how waitress didn't see it. Felt like throwing up.

I wasted my time and money buying friend food here while I waited and did nothing.that's my experience. Also the bacon is cheap and the potatoes are horribly season and prepared. Wouldn't reccomend going here at all.

AS you can see the owner's response below, he didn't tell me to contact the location to receive my refund and instead escalated the situation by mentioning reviews on my profile that have nothing to do with their restaurant. My account is mainly for bad experiences, to warn people. I eat at many place but the service or food isnt even above par all the times so I write a review to help other people. Why would I not write other reviews to warn the public. You're reply shows how unprofessional your business is. You care more about being right and pointing fingers, I care more about people not having to have my horrible experience at the places I've dined at. Shame on you. Learn to run a business instead of trying to pick fights. You cant take criticism. Come to my house I will give you potatoes with my hair in it and thn tell you to put money in my pocket. Thn when you complain i will tell you that it's just a bad review and not compensate you. Look at your couple month old reply, I still remember the bad experience you dont. You need to try to not be bully and focus on what's more important customer service. That's why my reviews have over 30,000 views, it's to call call out bad businesses. Shame on you and your staff. I have 20 reviews over a 3 year span. Do the math that's almost 7 reviews a year and the average person eats out much more thn that. What a joke.

A really nice place for breakfast and lunch. The steak and eggs is a must try. Had it done medium and the done as I wanted. Worth visiting.

If you feel like a great breakfast, this restaurant is for you. Great bacon and eggs and always generous portions. The waffles and pancakes are also awesome if you feel like a sweet treat for breakfast. I've also had lunch at the Olive a few times and I was surprised at the amazing selection of dishes. The prices are reasonable too. It's a very friendly place and everything is high quality. Free parking too! I highly recommend this neighbourhood gem.

Food is not bad. Everything is within the expectation. The portion is quite big, can give it a try if you’re really hungry

Hollandaise sauce was clumpy and tasteless. Service was bad, we felt rushed despite place being almost empty. Some items were added to my bill that I haven't ordered, so check your receipt if you go there. I won't be returning.

I love this place, my friend Dave brought me here raving about how good it is, and since I have been here about three times and am very impressed each time with the quality of both the food and level of service.

An absolutely spectacular restaurant! The service is quick and of very high quality, the portions are sizable, and most importantly - the food is amazing!

Highly recommend visiting this place if you're in the area and hungry.

Service here is great, I wish they added more home fries to my order when I ask for it especially when I don't get the bread.

Had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Gina. She's an asset to your business. Wasn't going to have take out but so happy I did as I got to meet her. Great food as always. Never disappointed. Great job guys. Keep up the greatness.
