Went to order a shawarma wrap and found out they no longer provide olives or feta

Update (based on store's response) : Feta was specifically requested and staff advised that they no longer have feta as an option. Also, the chicken was hard (either microwaved or undercooked)

Staff are very helpful. Food is Amazing. Whenever I have the feeling for a big filling burger this is my first thought. Don’t be fooled by others. This is the Best Barrie Burger out there. A+. Had many different menu items and they are always great!

Always a great option for a quick bite. Fast, friendly service, clean dining area with lots of seating. Food is nothing to write home about, but it is great for the price point.

Great experience! Locally owned burger joint that serves really good food. The service was fast and friendly and there’s a lot of seating should you want to eat in. We got the cheeseburger combo meals- the portion size well exceeded the price we paid, so definitely good value! We’ll be back to try some of their other menu items!

The Original Barrie Burger on Yonge is the best burger in Ontario - period. I have been going to Barrie Burger for about 20 years now and it has consistently remained an excellent experience. I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you have passed through Barrie and went to another Barrie Burger location, it is important to know that this location is miles ahead of the others. Barrie Burger is a staple that I hope never goes away.

There are a few elements that sets Barrie Burger apart:

- The Banquet Burger's shaved peameal bacon. Playing baseball growing up, our teams would generally try to find the best burger place a city had while at tournaments. I have been to all of the "institution" top-tier burger places in southern Ontario (e.g Super Burger and Champ Burger in Shelbourne, C & Dubbs in Mississauga, Burger Shack in Toronto, Johnny's Hamburgers Scarborough, just to name a few) and the Barrie Burger shaved peameal bacon is the difference maker. This gives the banquet burger the edge over every other similar burger in Ontario.

- The onion rings. Barrie Burger's onion rings are somewhat unique in that they are lightly battered and thinner than most other similar top-tier burger establishments. While some may prefer a thicker onion ring to give more onion flavour, that approach comes with an inherent danger of over-battering (see e.g. The donut-style onion rings of Burger Shack in Toronto). Barrie Burger's thin onion rings always have the perfect amount of batter and are a must-have.

- The french fries. Whether through finding the perfect oil temperature or the right potato thickness, Barrie Burger has mastered the french frie. Fries come unsalted because they surprisingly need none. Crisp outside, soft inside.

- The chicken souvlaki dinner. This dish comes with a lot of food. I think the chicken preparation has changed slightly since the pandemic (I recall it being a bit more spiced like your traditional souvlaki meat), but overall, this is the hungry person's dinner. The value here is unmatched.

- Last but not least, the people. Mikayla (and I hope I'm getting the spelling right) has been running the resteraunt for (roughly) 12 years now since the purchase from the previous family. I don't think she's taken a day off since. I also have to give a shout out to the guy who has been working the grills these long years. I've never spoken to him, but this man is a legend. In such an understated manner, he has been grilling up the best food in Barrie for years uncounted. His presence, as well as Mikayla's, has really ensured consistency in the great food.

I hope I have convinced you to try the Original Barrie Burger on Yonge St. You will not regret it. For those who are passing through Barrie, this Barrie Burger location is a worthwhile detour (Optimal route - Exit 400 at Mapleview, travel east on Mapleview until you hit Huronia, turn left, follow Huronia until you hit Little Ave, turn right, and Barrie Burger is at the top of the hill).

Waste of money. I ordered through Skip based on the high score, I will not order from here again. Burger was okay. Miracle Whip is not Mayonnaise. Fries were room temperature and had zero flavour, I threw them out. The caesar salad was a bed of romaine covered with simulated bacon flavored bits and simulated parmesan (no croutons). I threw it out with the fries.

I had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant, and I must say that their burgers and souvlaki are unparalleled in town. The friendly staff and cozy ambiance added to the overall enjoyable experience.

One aspect that stood out was the generous portion sizes. Each dish was served with an abundance of mouthwatering food, and it was evident that premium ingredients. The flavors were exceptional, and every bite was a delightful experience.

I'm already anticipating my next visit to this restaurant to explore the rest of their menu. With such high-quality offerings, I have no doubt that the other items will be equally delicious.

This place offers lots of food to choose from, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Western to the Mediterranean, all in one shop. Quick service, I went with my family for brunch, the food got ready within 5 minutes, of course it's not that busy still I appreciate their quick service and friendly staff. There's enough room for customers, lots of free parking space. It's self service here's the bonus point, when you give the MONEY YOU DON'T NEED TO THINK ABOUT HOW MANY % TIP YOU WANT TO GIVE, THEY DON'T ASK, if you want to give tips feel free they have a jar. The quality of food is great, I'll definitely go back again someday.

Our go to old school burger place. Their bun holds up to the meat and all the stuff I put on it. (lots) Can't think of a condiment they don't have. (remember, I said old school).
Service is great. System is great. (Old school overhead printed menus. Not flash menus that disappear every few minutes.)
Price the best in the area.
Not impressed with their fries. (I sub with rings.)

The Barrie Burger with Cheese is so good. Very meaty and very juicy. Your choice of toppings. Bring an appetite for it.

Asking for a tip when you order at the cash register really ruins the meal, I won't eat here again. You don't get a tip for me ordering food.

Had the poutine was good but pricy. All the prices went up. But the cashier was nice. The cook was nice

I come here often. Prices aren't too bad compared to other burger spots. Food is always fresh and you don't have to wait too long. The price of drinks is way higher then it should be so pack a water bottle for yourself

Nice place for a decent burger. The girl behind the counter was excellent. A lot on their menu but a very old school diner, which is okay if that's what you're going for. I would go back again for take out.

Place isn’t very cleanly and owners are rude to staff. Not very friendly to ppl with hearing disabilities either

Nice clean atmosphere but the burger is not real meat.and what I mean by real is its frozen patties.
The barrie burger in the south end on mapleview is by far the best and still use REAL meat

Always amazing food. Best footlong hotdogs. Been going here for years now. A Barrie staple location. I just wish they had curds for the poutine!
