The Original Georgie's Pizza & Subs

We get pizza from here every Friday night, our favourite is a pepperoni pizza. However the Hawaiian is very good.

I've been coming here for 5 years, I work across the street so it's very convenient. But there is so many restaurants and diners that are convenient as well in the neighborhood which I never go to. There is something special here, you feel like family the moment you walk in. Everyone is happy to see you and no matter how busy they are they always take a minute to ask me how my family and I are doing. The food is amazing, personal favorite I would have to say is the steak sub. If you are looking for an affordable meal and a great atmosphere with amazing people, look no further.

If you like spaghetti sauce on your pizza instead of pizza sauce this will be your spot. You should tell people so they can choose not to waste their money.

Hands down the best pizza pie you will ever have in your life. I was in Naples last week and I was stuck with the thought "this is nothing compared to a Georgie's special". A neapolitan margherita pales in comparison to a Georgie's combo, really. Stay home and enjoy one of Ottawa's culinary gems.

You can travel the world as I have, from NYC to Beijing, to Naples and London but you cannot find a better pizza than the OG Georgies. I might just fly half way across the world to pick one up.

You can't go wrong with this place. Their pizza sauce, their meat sauce, their Shawarma, their Donair, their meatballs all made from scratch. Pizza, pasta, subs, etc. All amazing.

I very much enjoy Georgie's pizza. The sauce - I love it! The flavour is awesome, and there is always the perfect amount of sauce on my pizza. The garlic sauce is also top notch. It is a little on the pricey side, but ingredients are always fresh and good quality. I've tried other pizza places just to switch things up but keep coming back to Georgies.

I love donairs. I ordered a beef donair and zucchini. Donair was excellent, will try zucchini next. First time I ordered there, will try their pizza next. I asked about delivery charge 2 and they give it to the driver. I gave him 7. A driver is the first person you see at Georgies I have had bad experiences with delivery. Domino's charges 5.99 and I still tip not drivers fault delivery is so high. Checkers on viewmount is good food too.they dont deliver. You have great reviews.i am giving my good review. Thank you. My food was delivered within15 minutes.

Great food, great friendly service. Ole school Pizzeria vibe, food was fast fresh and personally served to our table. Our food modifications were accommodated ie: no onion/tomatoes etc. We had 2 miss piggy's and a big Joe, with a small pep pizza. Very tasty. Will be back when in Ottawa area again. Keep it up.

It’s kind of embarrassing how long it’s taken me to give Georgie’s the review it has so earned over the past decade!
Don’t let the unassuming decor fool you. The true heart and charm of this place is the people and the food. We have been eating here for over a decade and now our kids love it too. Yummy crispy crust - it’s thick though - if you ask for it thinner it’s even better in my opinion. The sauce is what sets them apart though - usually not a huge fan of acidic tomato sauces this one is a darker savoury sauce full of flavour. Their home made garlic sauce is like crack. The wings are simple, but the kids are obsessed. Give this place a try - you won’t be disappointed!

Right now, this is my favourite fast NY-style pizza in Ottawa (there is better pizza at nice restaurants but for typical delivery this is my pick). It's competitively priced and seems consistently good quality. Delivery people have always been a pleasure.

The first thing you'll notice about the pizza is the distinct savoury tomato sauce, almost tastes like a meat sauce, slightly sweeter and less acidic than most, it works really well. The crust is flakey, crispy and delicious. The toppings are fair, and the cheese is generous.

Definitely worth trying.

Best steak sub in the city, I went on a steak sub hunt and tried every place that claims they have a steak sub. This was by far the best!

As always one of the top pizzas in Ottawa. A must have to anyone visiting Ottawa or living here who loves pizza

It's becoming nearly impossible to find slices on the weekends around Ottawa, luckily I came across these guys by sheer luck/chance.

Not only did they have slices on a Sunday afternoon, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the slices were absolutely fantastic!

The location is pretty standard for what you would expect for an old school pizza joint, basic but with a nice classic feel to it, which is exactly the type of place I love!

These guys have been in the game since 1984, and it shows!

Sat down to enjoy a pie and was treated very warmly. Great business and staff that know the value of providing good food and service to their clientele.

Customer of 25 years, the food is as good as when I first started frequenting them; quality ingredients and the prices haven’t skyrocketed like most places.

Ask for a Super Steak, double pepperoni instead of ham, and extra garlic:).

The BEST pizza I've found in Ottawa. I've lived in several different ends of the city and always come back to Georgies. I will drive out of my way for their pizza. It's saucy, it's cheesy, it's the best. The garlic sauce is also amazing!
