We are regular customers to this place. Food is good and people here are kind. Just one thing they can improve is the atmosphere of the place.

I enjoyed this place so much. Excellent service, delicious food, great atmosphere. I’ll definitely visit The Owl of Minerva again!

I was so looking forward to the japchae We got it for takeout by the time we got home which was 5 minutes away it was all stuck together cold and rubbery and we could not even enjoy it. It tasted like it was microwaved. Quantity and quality was not worth the $20 plus.

I found this house by chance while visiting Niagara Falls.
It seems that the spicy taste of gamjatang is difficult to eat locally.
It was the best Korean food I had on a business trip^^

Unpretentious atmosphere with a nice staff and great food at a decent price. I will return once again, the next time I'm in Hamilton.

If there are 6 people, you have to ask for a tip first because the given was spoiled before we even started eating.

Leaving a 3 star review on the account of service and parking. The Gamjatang was good. However the parking situation is a mess. Parked in the lot at the front. But asked the restaurant staff that I can't park there. I should park at the back or on the street.
At the back of the restaurant, there are hand printed signs. Someone wrote 3 spots for restaurant. However someone vandalized one of the not for restaurant signs. Got I to an argument with the building Tenants who blocked my car. Didn't realize the one the vandalized signs was for his spot. Restaurant should work with neighbors to make parking situation better.

If you’re looking for an authentic Korean restaurant or even just some nice savoury food, this is the spot. When you first see the building it gives off vintage/coming to eat dinner at an older relatives house but the inside may surprise you. Very cozy and sweet service. Even got candies at the end of our meal. Great for a family meal as well and I would personally suggest their family pots that are on the last page of the menu. Enjoy!

I like the Famous Owl of Minerva.food is great. I have mixed feelings of saying this as I know how hard it is to make ends meet.this building was rather old and run down so set your expectations on that.

I have dined in and take out numerous times. I try something different every time, and I've never been unhappy with both their food and their service. My taste buds scream with delight. Location is not the greatest, and their prices are quite high but you get a lot, its been worth it every time

My fav place in Hamilton for authentic Korean—have been going here for years. The glass noodles were more saucy than I’m used to, but everything else was spot on!

Korean food here isn't bad, I found the menu a little unorganized and awkward to follow. My friend and I were the only ones in the dining area at the time so they didn't come out often and had we long wait times. The restaurant is cute however, I like the interior. I'll definitely be trying it again when it's a bit busier.

I love the seafood and tofu soup. It's delicious and they are efficient and attentive.

Decided to check the place out because of good reviews but was disappointed.
The dining area is worn down and falling apart.
The food is expensive ($18-$20 for soup) compared to other Korean places and was mediocre. The beef bibimbap barely had any beef at all, and we only got 3 side dishes for the table.

This restaurant serves incredibly delicious food! Service was decent as well.

Especially, LA Kalbi, Kamjatang, and Bibimbap were the most impressive food I've ever tried.

Fantastic Korean food. Very quick service, and interesting restaurant based around the theme of owls. Diverse availability of dishes: tteokbokki, Korean fried chicken, different stews, kalbi, etc.

What lacks in ambiance makes up for in authentic original Korean food…portions are a great size And the sides are amazing. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience and delicious food.

Food is amazing, but too expensive. If they could get a kamjatang to $12, I'd go 3x a week.

The kindness of the staff were good. But

During our meal, one of the staff started cleaning, and the smell of soap was so bad that it felt like eating soap. I have never experienced a restaurant where an employee usually cleans like this while a customer is eating.

And about the food,
The cucumber served as a side dish was the best. That’s it.

This is an amazing restaurant for authentic Korean food. The ambience is very cozy. I’ve been here a couple of times already (i will definitely come back) and the food is absolutely delicious! The service is amazing too. The portions are generous and they are definitely worth giving a try!

This place is such a gem. They are temporarily closed to renovate their kitchen and I can't wait to for them to open. The kalbi marinade itself is so delicious. Takeout/Delivery is always so quick and everything stays warm somehow.
Edit: They are opened again! Yay!

This was my first time having Korean food so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We ordered our meal for delivery: Beef Bulgogi, rice and spring rolls. The rice was nice and fluffy, the spring rolls were crispy and the Bulgogi was full of beef and veggies. The kimchi that came with our meal, while a bit spicy, was absolutely scrumptious. The Milkis my hubby ordered was delicious! We will definitely order again. Thanks so much.
