We had a wonderful meal and a fun time with Christy and her attentive staff.the food was delicious and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The history of the Piano Inn and Cafe is so interesting, especially when described by the actual owner who sat with us for awhile.

Gem of a restaurant in the middle of downtown port perry with unique and tasty food options. The bacon, pear and baked brie sandwich was surprisingly good! I don't usually like fruit in my sandwiches with meat but this was quiet good. I love their French onion soup and red pepper soup when they have it.

I was on holiday from Scotland in July 2022 and popped into the cafe, the staff, service and food was amazing, was back this year and was so disappointed that it was closed for refurbishment, however I met Christie the owner who could not have been more courteous to me, I was interested in the filming that had taken place at the cafe and she offered to share some photos of the filming.
Looking forward to visiting here when I’m back next year.

Simply amazing:) My wife and I got carried away with the food that we forgot to take photos. The food was terrific, the service was outstanding, and the interior and the mood of the establishment is something created by the culture of the Port Perry neighborhood, and it was an experience that I am glad I was able to take part in. High recommend the soup and the sandwich combo with dessert; roasted red pepper vine tonato soup with cranberry, mozza, brie & chicken sandwich, finished off with any dessert on the menu.

This was such a cute little cafe. We had a fancy grilled cheese as it was their grilled cheese Friday. The aesthetics were so quaint. Service was great. It seemed a little pricy but still worth it.

What can I say - if you want to feel like you’re in a Hallmark movie go for lunch at the Piano Inn and Cafe. The quiche and homemade soup is always my go to lunch. I love it but the grilled cheese looks amazing and the wonderful desserts. It is very quaint and the staff are always friendly. I have never stayed in the rooms they rent out but I hear they are very nice.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with a group of friends and it was delicious. I will definately return. Great food and service.

If you're looking for a cool and quintessential small town getaway, then the Piano Inn/Cafe in Port Perry is the place to be. The food in the restaurant is fantastic (literally the best sandwich I've ever had). If you can get a room, they are all unique and very comfortable. We'll hopefully be going back in June when the weather is nicer so we can enjoy the lake as well!

The food here is AMAZING! Feels like home cooking. Highly recommend all sandwiches and soup. Service is great and friendly. Definitely a must visit in Port Perry.

A small local restaurant with great service, food, and overall experience! Definitely a go-to place for lunch when you are in Port Perry! Grilled cheese Friday is hands down my favourite.

This place is a gem!

Such a beautiful Inn. Clean and welcoming. Most comfortable rooms with well stocked kitchenettes (coffee, creamer, cups etc,) Stayed in Photographer Suite last year - loved it. Chose Poets Corner this year, which is decorated as their Hallmark suite. Gorgeous!

Friendly staff. Service was good. Very busy. Food good, but limited choices. Understandable these days. Prices are high, but reflect the expensive times we live in with justinflation. A great place to have lunch. A nice atmosphere. We've been coming to this town for 20 years and always find something nice. And great people! Well worth the drive to Port Perry.

The Cucumber Gin cocktail was excellent, and very refreshing.

I ordered the Lobster and Crab Mac and Cheese, as did several of the others, along with the baked French onion soup.

One of our group, a true French onion soup afficionado, was disappointed that the soup wasn't a true "baked" version, but had only been in the oven long enough to give a good melt to the cheese.

The Lobster and Crab Mac and Cheese was definitely cheesy, no complaint there. Several of us ordered it including the lady who sat across from me and a gentleman who sat at the end of our long table. I watched both fork huge chunks of lobster from their ramekins.

Alas, mine contained one piece of fake crab and not a single piece, or even a visible shred, of lobster. I persevered, optimistically hoping a piece of lobster would appear before I reached the end, but.no such luck.

I did mention it to our server when she collected the dishes. Nothing came of it so when it came time to pay I asked if she had brought it up. I was told that it was all mixed together before being placed in the ramekins and should have been evenly distributed. I reiterated that it was not. It was quite obvious to the people beside and across from me that there was no lobster in my dish, but that was the end of it.

Not sure whether I would return. There were a number of items on the menu that I'd be interested in trying. However, I love lobster, and when a dish that is supposed to contain it, doesn't, and nothing whatsoever is done to acknowledge or address that, it does not leave a very good impression.

We stayed at the piano inn for 3 nights in the coachman suite and it was lovely. The room had a cozy character, was clean and spacious. The fridge and microwave were helpful and there was a nice sitting area to eat. Rob was great and helpful, checking in was easy and convenient. The food was also great and the inn is right downtown with great shops a brewery and the waterfront all with in a minutes walk of the inn.

My husband and I just here in The Photographers Suite and it was perfect. The location is great, right in the center of town; walking distance to everything! Super clean, comfortable and cute spot. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their amazing place, including the welcoming Cafe under the rooms. Highly recommend a trip to Port Perry just to enjoy The Piano Cafe and Inn. Thank you for welcoming us and making it so easy.

Hubby and I had lunch there today.
Was positively lovely.
The owner and staff were definitely on their toes today, with a brisk demand for tables, but they efficiently accommodated everyone as quickly as possible and everyone was left smiling and friendly.
The quiche, soup, wrap and salad we had were all fresh, and served just as we liked. We’ll be back often.

Came for a late lunch, enjoyed grilled cheese Friday with French onion soup. I have clearly been making grilled cheese wrong my whole life because this one was amazing. Good portions, great service and and the owner came around to see how we enjoyed our meal. She stayed to chat for a few minutes, and though it was our first time there, we were treated like old friends. Highly recommend!

The Piano Cafe is absolutely fantastic! The food is delicious and the service is awesome. I fell in love with it a few years ago and I have brought several friends there who all agree with my rating!

Had the apple and bacon mac n' cheese with a side of roasted red pepper and tomato soup which were both excellent. My wife had a sandwich and salad that she thoroughly enjoyed as well. The 3 Rocks IPA from Second Wedge topped off a wonderful meal. Great service too!

I've here a few times and the food, atmosphere and service is wonderful. Each time I get the three cheese grilled cheese, mac & cheese and the roasted tomato soup, all so delicious and gourmet. Christy the owner is so personable and outgoing. It's always a pleasure coming here. If you haven't already, you should for sure stop by and eat here.

Can't recommend both the inn and restaurant enough! We booked every room for ourselves, wedding party, and a few other friends for our wedding, and no one had a single complaint. Being a big-city dweller, I couldn't get over how HUGE the Studio room was, and for such a reasonable price! Location is perfect - right downtown, and a short walk from our venue. The restaurant was great for a post-wedding brunch - all delicious, and we were offered a quiet spot at the back of the patio (and we needed quiet that morning!) Thanks so much to Rob and Christy for their prompt communication and professionalism.

The food is wonderful, menu seasonal and ingredients fresh. The service is exceptional and the staff are as thrilled to see you as you are your favourite dish. Enjoy the raspberry lemonade any day of the week, or a special treat for grilled cheese Friday’s on top of the main menu and leave room for desert, so you can leave happy and sweet.

My husband and I have stayed at the Piano Inn twice this summer and we loved it both times. The second time we came back was for a mini-honeymoon at the beginning of September. We stayed in the Studio room and it was so spacious and unbelievably comfortable. The room was stocked with coffee, tea, milk etc, as well as all the essentials for a nice stay. I would recommend the Inn to anyone looking for a little getaway in Port Perry.
We ate at the cafe for lunch twice during our stay. The food is delicious. A definite go-to - especially for grilled cheese Friday! The staff are so friendly and really make an effort to get to know you. Crystal was our server both times and she is awesome!
I can't say enough good things about the Piano Inn and Cafe! Christy and Rob are amazing hosts and do everything they can to make their guests comfortable - whether they are staying for the night or just stopping in for lunch. We will definitely be back soon.

Definitely delicious cuisine & comfortable ambiance with excellent, tentative staff!

I honestly can say I haven’t had food this good in for ever! The menu was super simple but that is what also makes it work. Service was superb and flavours were as good as you could ask for. I’ll be putting this place in my favourites anytime I’m close by.

Stopped at Matts soft serve yesterday for a 99'er and i cant tell you how amazing it was. Creamy deliciousness in every bite and a trip down memory lane for sure. Don't pass up the chance to stop here.

Located at the north end of the strip this is definitely worth the walk. Our food was fantastic patio was great. And the service was amazing – thanks Jenn! Will definitely be back!

My partner and I enjoy visiting Port Perry. It is one of the most beautiful towns in Ontario with so much history, and stunning historical architecture all laid out by a river.

Because we live a couple of hours away, we often like to stay through the weekend to really enjoy everything the town has to offer.

We love staying at the Piano Inn and Café. This would be our third time staying here and continue to enjoy our time. The hosts are welcoming and very helpful to let us know what events are going on around town. We stayed in their “seamstress” suit which was extremely comfortable and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable which made it hard to get out in the morning lol

We had a lovely stay at the Piano Inn. Everything was neat and tidy and very comfortable. The owners are lovely, accommodating and very quick to respond. We highly recommend this inn!

Best food in Port Perry!
Try the pie. Any pie.it doesn't matter which flavour. They're all good. Trust me, I think I've tried them all.

Have been buying the delicious soups and quiches at the Farmers Market while the Provincial closure was in effect. Very much looking forward to the new front patio for ice cream and doggie treats! Great idea - excellent rolling with the punches, dusting yourselves off and pivoting the business during Covid times

What a cute restaurant in the heart of Port Perry! We stumbled upon this place in the summer of 2020 after everything was opening up after the first wave of Covid. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was scrumptious and the service was extremely professional and friendly. I immediately followed them on Instagram and this past Mother's Day ordered Afternoon Tea for me and my mom as take out. With the second stage re-opening, they had a VIP weekend and I was able to take the family to lunch today. We sat on the back patio with lingering rain overhead, but it was avoided throughout our time there. Highly recommend to visit, you will not be disappointed. You will also find them at the Port Perry farmer's market on Saturdays. Looking forward to another visit again.

This restaurant is exceptional! Such a beautiful, cozy and vintage atmosphere. My boyfriend and I had French onion soup and sandwiches for lunch which was fantastic. The owner Christy and her husband Rob were very professional and welcoming. Our waitress Ester was extremely sweet as well! We will definitely be venturing back to this area again just to eat here. It was a great place!

Great service and excellent food. They took extraordinary measures during g the pandemic to make the customer feel safe, and still managed to prepare delicious twists on standby comfort food, like lobster mac'n cheese, homemade soups, great desserts.

I absolutely love this place! The rooms are all unique, charming and have everything you need to wind down and relax. It's the perfect spot for business travellers, a couple looking for a quiet spot to hide away or for a place to retreat to study or just relax!

This site is my first choice place. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place.everytime I feel like having a proper dinner, this restaurant comes right away to my head.exeptionalgorgeous and all sorts of food and a large list of dishes.courteous crew, and great mood. Also important, the expence is reasonable. I suggest this spot with no doubt.

Favourite restaurant in town the food is always unique and so amazing! The service is also extremely quick once you order. The owners are amazing super sweet! Had my water break there three weeks ago while I was pregnant and went in today and they served my sister and I a congratulatory lunch on the house unexpectedly. Always recommend to anyone that comes to port for lunch.

My husband and sister in law and I went here for lunch today. We all ordered different things and agreed every mouthful was scrumptious. The hardest thing when we go back will be deciding which special meal we will have. Everything was so so GOOD. Service was amazing staff and owner were so friendly and everything was served hot and in good time. Serving size was good also.
