The Powerhouse

Have enjoyed this place immensely in the past.
We waited for several minutes at the door to be seated. We were not a priority for the staff.
We were seated at a cold table but we did not complain.
They had a local musician who played well, but WAAAY too loud and we were not that close to him.
The food came and was below average. Expensive food with little content. We were not impressed. We did not finish our meal. Not sure why it has deteriorated so much.
I always give a place a chance to improve. But it won't be soon.

I hosted a baby shower at The Powerhouse in the beautiful private room, and I cannot recommend this establishment enough. The room itself is beautiful, spacious and has lots of natural light. The food speaks for itself, it’s fabulous.

The staff was welcoming, and extremely helpful, especially Jackie who made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. Jackie was checking in to ensure we were happy, had everything we needed throughout the event, and was generally very supportive and easy to talk to. This made for a very reassuring time during the actual event. The server we had was also fabulous I wish I got her name. She was discreet but so friendly, quick to clear plates and on top of drinks and refills for the large party through the entire event as well. I was really impressed. Any little thing I needed for set up, they both found a way to make sure it was taken care of.

The third party company who arranges the large party booking was hit or miss. Eventually we dealt with an assistant Elena who was super attentive, and fabulous to communicate with. I wish there was less of a disconnect between this company and the actual restaurant.

Always a great time! Awesome music, friendly staff and fabulous friends. It's like "Cheers" in The Creek.

Beautiful building, nice atomosphere, friendly good service. Been coming here for years, it never disappoints.

All I'm going to talk about is Xarly, our server. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! My husband and I loved the service and she is a GEM!

A local fav! We went for a surprise birthday dinner and all of us had an amazing time upstairs. Epic view of the chandelier immediately created some great vibes. The food was amazing as always and our server was a trooper!

A casual spot for lunch with friends. Ordered the Mushroom Flatbread and the Beet n Goat Cheese Salad. Both were delicious.

Had dinner here with our family to celebrate 24yrs since we had our wedding reception in this same location.
Everything was excellent!

As part of our bar-hopping adventure on a lively Saturday night in early November, this place was buzzing with activity. It truly is a fantastic venue, reminiscent of a classic high-ceilinged pub that could easily fit into any big city. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the attentive and hard-working staff made sure we were quickly accommodated. Over on the far end, a live band started playing, belting out fantastic tunes that appealed to a diverse range of age groups, from those in their thirties all the way up to their eighties. Glancing at the menu, it's clear that they offer a great selection of food. It seems like this place is known for its entertaining events, including comedy nights and live performances. I'm already looking forward to returning here in the future.

So many problems around the table. Missed orders and food, charging items that weren't ordered, dry and microwaved food, rinds of fruit when given with the order, and waiting over a hour for food that was forgotten even when given multiple reminders. Worst meals in a restaurant given in over 5-10 years per opinion.

First time having breakfast here and I’m very glad we tried them out. I had the bottomless mimosa with different juices with my breakfast and had such a good time.

Relive history at this renovated historical power station. Good Pub food with ample choices. The ambience is worth the drive! An opportunity to spend some time reliving the architectural splendor of an era gone by. Friendly service too. Live music on weekends and they host special events too.

I went for brunch with my friend and child. I ordered the baked Brie and chicken sandwich. The bread was hard as a rock. I politely mentioned it to the server which said he will have it remade. (The manager came by and offered us a free dessert which was very kind of her).

By the time I got my meal, both my friend and my son were done eating so I literally asked it to be boxed up as soon as it was delivered.when I got my replacement it was hard as a rock AGAIN. We paid $70 for lunch which I didn’t get to eat with my friend and son and I ended up tossing out in my garbage when I got home

I’m so disappointed in this visit and questioning if I should ever go back

We came specifically for the Thanksgiving dinner because we wanted to save ourselves the hassle of cooking at home and also satisfy our picky eaters (kids) on this special holiday. Although the service and atmosphere, we’re good, we have to say that we were quite displeased with the food. Both of our servings of turkey were rubbery, stuffing burnt/ crunchy and mashed potato’s dried out and old. Overall quite bummed out about the food tonight, especially considering the price of the bill: (We would hesitate to eat here again.

My very good friend and I always go to different towns/cities for lunch and shopping.

I found The Powerhouse, checked reviews, which were good, so we decided to go on August 26th.

Such a beautiful iconic 1890’s building which is the original Stoney Creek Powerhouse. It’s been intricately refurbished. It’s gorgeous inside.

We both ordered the Falafel Salad: baby arugula drizzled with a herb vinaigrette, and dressed with crispy falafels, Mandarin oranges, roasted red peppers, toasted sunflower seeds and a lemon garlic tahini sauce. We thought it was good.

I ordered a Mimosa which left a lot to be desired.

Not busy that day, except for an event in the large room. Service was slow, but wait staff was very nice.

The lovely outdoor patio has different levels with seating at the side and back. It looked like rain, so we decided to sit inside.

A big lot with free parking.
