The food is mostly excellent when it comes to the frozen or fresh entrees.

The baked goods are almost always disappointing (crusts that are not baked all the way through, bland flavours, etc.).

Today’s lunch really missed the mark though. I bought a roast beef sandwich and was disappointed to see, upon unwrapping it, that the bun was totally soggy, discoloured and gross along one entire side. There was also some strange discolouration on the corner of the bun (why would the corner of this sandwich be magenta?). Parts of the roast beef were too fatty to enjoy in a sandwich and the bun was so crusty and chewy that it hurt the top of my mouth. There’s no way this sandwich was made fresh today. I ate three bites and had to throw out the rest. Disappointing for a $13 sandwich.

Sorry but someone has to speak up for the people, after repeat issues these containers are ridiculous. I'm a strong young man and struggled to open this, going to have to stop purchasing the soup, it's not rocket science guys just go with glass and plastic twist off lid

The salads and frozen desserts are great and so are the corn, cheddar and jalapeno muffins.

A beautiful gem of a space, excellent coffee, delicious sandwiches, dessert treats.
Wonderful spot, to pick up quick "à emporter" dinners, nice wine or get catering for any upcoming events- highly recommend!

Have given Red Apron home delivered meals to others and have received them myself. The food is delicious, portions are generous, meals have easy clear prep instructions. A nice treat. I recommend.

Delicious sandwiches and meals to go. And lots of other goodies. Tried the beef stew and the brownie from the frozen section this week - awesome!
Just wish they would still be offering loaves of bread; it was great to be able pick up all that is needed for a meal in one place.

A life line to young families and fast moving professionals. Locally connected and community orientated. Since 2020 Red Apron has expanded its operations, food and Ontario craft beverage line up. The food is delicious and the lunch counter is excellent, featuring sandwiches soups and baked goods. Great options for take home or dine in. Visit Red Apron in patio season for a morning coffee or happy hour. Red Apron is well run, environmentally responsible and women owned. Worth the trip.

I love the great selection of prepared meals. Much less salt and preservatives than what you get in frozen meals at grocery store. The butternut squash ravioli with arugula, leeks, yams and mushrooms in a sage cream sauce is one of my new favourites.

Great selection of cheesses, crackers and other products too, which are great for the holiday season.

The staff are so helpful and friendly too.

Ordered Christmas dinner here and was not disappointed. Food was fantastic, easy to heat up and serve. Pickup was a breeze even in bad weather. The place was clean and staff were very helpful and organized. Will be back!

I’ve never eaten here but I get their pre-made dinners and all of those that I’ve had are delicious. The salmon cakes are my favourites. Everything comes with instructions for cooking and staff are always happy to help if you have questions. The quality is excellent and the prices seem comparable to other places around but it’s probably not a good match for those on a tight budget.

I was introduced to this establishment by a friend who highly recommend it. I tried the food and it was delicious. The varieties are almost endless and can satisfy every taste.

Nearly every week our family gets pre-made meals that are easy to heat up, delivered to our door and we are so grateful for the convenience and fabulous, devious meals (with desserts on Thursday!)

I gotta say these meals are very delicious and full of flavour. Decent portions and convenient if you don’t have time to cook at home. Highly recommend giving it a try

I was skeptical at first after not having success with other meal delivery services, but their food is DELICIOUS. We received a gift card for RA during a busy time in our lives and I’m so glad we did. We have ordered from them about 15 or so times, and we have never been disappointed. The flavors are 10/10 and the dishes always go so well together. We are always full after. I highly recommend trying them out!

Just got my first pre-prepaired food delivery and I am so happy! The food was so delicious and not at all spicy. The portions were huge, so I got a lot of food for my money. I can't cook much due to my disability and so far this has been the best pre-cooked food delivery place I have tried, by far. Thanks for providing me with healthy food. It truly is a life changer. I also love that there is very little plastic and the containers can be sent to a services that cleans and reuses them.

Wide selection of _delicious_ prepared frozen meals, great coffee, friendly service. And the patio is open!

Good service, nice selection, pricing of frozen meals is good. Some prices for other foods are a bit higher than you will find in other stores. I noticed some items were very close to their expiration dates. Still very much worth visiting.

Never ever disappointed with anything I have purchased from Red Apron. Treats, frozen food, wine, you name it! Had the curried chicken pie most recently and it was amazing.

We picked up food there for the first time recently and I was really impressed by the quality and quantity of the food for the price we paid. I would definitely recommend the wings and salmon.

Amazing place! Staff is always friendly and helpful, products are all unique and things I've not seen elsewhere, best of all is the pre-made meals! I highly recommend people try it out, even if you're not vegan or vegetarian or on a gluten/dairy free diet you will surely find something delicious and made with love!

The Joy of NOT Cooking. I've learned joy from Red Apron cookery. So many years I spent in the kitchen, to learn that I've underappreciated NOT cooking. All those mouths that needed feeding, and now there's only mine! I love NOT-COOKING- and EATING delicious food from the Red Apron. I feel so lucky.

Went specifically for a Pascale’s Ice Cream pop-up. Picked up some pre-made meals from the fridge while I was there. Will be back!

Really weird business model. They mostly seem to be a small-scale catering operation, charging pretty steep prices for bundles of meals that you can reserve in advance, here's an excerpt from their site:

There are so many variables that it's impossible to make an informed, economic choice. I'd rather just go to the store and buy things off the shelf, which thankfully you can do, unless people bought out all of what you wanted as a "pre-ordered meal service".

But all that aside, and the weird hours and not having bread every day, this place still deserves an A+. Their food (and wines!) are just that good. The best hot chocolate made to order, and the most incredible pumpkin pie (frozen; just thaw and eat) that I think I'm likely to ever try in town.

Red Apron has fantastic take-out meals, but frozen and fresh. Plenty of gluten-free and dairy free options too.

The new location (still on Gladstone) looks amazing; much more space inside and plenty of parking. Plus, a patio!

So happy I found this little gem! They're freezer meals are amazing! Such great variety and they taste great. Awesome for times when you're too busy to meal prep or just don't feel like cooking.

All the prepared meals are amazing. I am a regular now for sure. This was a lunch spot (pre-covid) but now I pick up fresh and frozen meals for home. Keep up the delicious work!

We got food for Christmas dinner and it was pretty good.
My Mumz loved it.pasta, and chicken burritos and quinoa.
3 different dishes, the only thang.
I found 1 sraff member not 2 b happy wit her job.

Super beau resto/café super lumineux et très accueillant. Délicieux sandwichs, salades, cafés, desserts. J'ai beaucoup aimé!

Food was nice but the service was terrible when we went to the store on Saturday morning, The person servicing behind the counter was very unfriendly.

Great place to get ready made home-cooked meals to heat up. No prep required! They also have weekly orders to be delivered. Very high quality place in Ottawa.

I used to come here years ago and the sandwiches were fresh and toasted to order. Now it's grab and go and cold. Not sure if this is due to Covid or not. Still tasty.

Red Apron is exceptional. The quality of their food is always extremely high and I have never had anything I didn't enjoy from them. They have a lot of great veggie items and their scones are one of my favourites. I have allergies and they are very helpful to find alternatives to accomodate me.

I was in there for the first time and was very disturbed that none of the employees were wearing masks. Like ZERO. None of the people in the kitchen, or the lady at the food bar or even the cashier.
I will add that there is no barrier at the food bar, so you can't claim you are behind any barrier.

I love this place. Great food. Wonderful staff. My partner and I shop here regularly and would be lost without it.

Well run food service.quality produce.tasty and healthy dishes great for singles, couples, seniors and variety of tastes and cultures. Reasonably priced. Parking is resigned to the street.not always convenient for those living outside the neighborhood.

I discovered this place about seven years ago when my daughter started university at UOttawa! We wanted food that was healthy and convenient! My daughter has since graduated and now works in Ottawa. Every time we visit her we stock up on their frozen food to take back to Toronto! Our favs? All of them!

Visit in a old feb snow day. This place has amazing cooked food, frozen in single or double portion to take home like mum’s kitchen. Can sit down have a coffee, lunch or breakfast. A lot of choices include desert. Nice and comfortable sitting. Great for breakfast.

Fresh, local ingredients and always something new to try. Women led, women owned - does it get any better than that.

Amazing place for sandwiches at lunchtime. (They recently changed their bread and it's not an improvement) Good for everything else also but lunch is really special

Good, fresh, varied, very good vegetarian options. Big emphasis on ready made meals, sandwiches and soups, along with pastries sweet and savoury. Recommended.

Was recommended by my daughter, so I took her word for it. Bought soup which was delicious but the prepared meals were utterly disgusting. I wasted 347$ on garbage. What a disappointment. I believe I will stick with the Green Door restaurant.

Very good atmosphere and friendly, upbeat staff. The coffee is fantastic and moderately priced.
