Big fan of Toby and Riverdale Hive! Was able to book a pottery class for my wife’s birthday earlier this year and we ended up having a private class with Toby which was great. We each were able to learn and make 2 pieces which is worth the value alone. Definitely recommend.

The Riverdale Hive is everything you want it to be. It's fun and chaotic and messy; yet calming. That human urge to create is fulfilled! The owner Toby is a clay master with a huge heart. My 9 year old twin boys love her! She gave us direction and encouragement with the right amount of independence. Thank you Toby. We'll be back!

My partner and I had a wonderful evening here yesterday for a Date Night. We had never done pottery or ceramics before but with some friendly, easy to understand instruction we were able to create some nice pieces. It was a great evening of 1: 1 instruction with such a friendly and personable instructor. We left feeling like pros and can't wait to see our end products.

Our firm likes to engage in fun and creative parties. This place excelled in delivering on both counts. Being a small group, we all received direct instruction in a fun but meaningful way. The owner and assistant are very pleasant and skilled in helping you make a great piece. Wonderful people. Enjoy local! We did!

Had a great experience at The Riverdale Hive with Toby! She was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. As someone that doesn’t have much experience working with clay she made sure to guide us through every step of the process and we were very satisfied with our creations. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to get creative!

I attended a 2hr session lead by Toby herself, it included 1 hr of wheel and 1 hr of hand sculpting. She was super welcoming from the booking phone call for a last minute session to the very end of the class. She's very experience orientated with each class and encourages creativity. I can't wait to go back, I'm already planning my next class.

Toby worked privately with my 16-year-old daughter to create a portfolio over the summer. We were so lucky to meet her. She is a skilled, fun and encouraging teacher, and my daughter learned a huge amount and enjoyed it. Toby also was flexible and very easy to communicate with, she is extremely reliable and professional.
