The Round Table Board Game Café Guelph

Came in last weekend on the 24th and weekend previous on the 17th with reservations from their very beautiful while simple reservation website.

My husband and I had a party of 9, expecting 11 people, two of which were no shows and of the 9 one of them my 11year old son.

We are a military family and find it extreamly hard to get everyone together when we can, and found The Round Table to be a fun and memorable experience!
The orders were tasty and the price is fair and the unique menu is super fun to look into.

The employees, from the Royal Garrison, to the actual tavern style restaurant were very welcoming and kind, super paitent with my son which I truly appreciated!

Our female waiter was awesome. Constantly ensuring we had our drinks and food, and taking the time to be accommodating towards my son.

The second time we came in on the 24th she remembered him and joked about his drink which was also appreciated ;) (he loved being able to bring in his new friend the second time and the employee made them feel right at home in a fun friendly environment)

Another employee who served us on Friday March 24th was a tall red haired man who was just as kind and acccomodating as well! He made my son laugh and pointed out a fun game.

All in all a great time and if your food is ever running behind please remember people to be kind! These employees are great and are going as quick as they can.

Will be back again soon for sure!

Had a great time on Friday the 17th with our friends, food was good and the servers were checking in on our drinks.
Great selection of craft brews to be had and a fun spin on the menu.

We loved the Forlorn Fairyland escape room! Shout out to Robert for making sure we had an enjoyable experience! Note: the escape room is next to the retail space and dining room so you will hear other patrons.

Solid board game restaurant. Little pricy, but not crazy.
I would recommend making reservations. You may luck out with a walk in, but wouldn't rely on it.
There seemed to be a lack of trivia games would be my only complaint.

Great place 10/10 nerd spot. Board games, ttrpgs and accessories, bar life and awesome food.

A very special event brought me here and despite being a packed house everything ran super tight and smooth.

I used to have no reason to come to Guelph pretty much ever, but now I have the best reason to make the trip.

I freaking LOVE this place! It is super cozy, adorable, and has a great selection of board games! The food is tasty and it isn't super pricey. I also really like their Magic: The Gathering nights and events - which they offer enough MTG stuff that you can always grab a deck and join with ease.

Went there for Warhammer night and had a great time. Servers were very attentive and food and drinks on site while playing is great.

Absolutely love The Round Table. Such a fun place for a different way to spend a night out, or evening a weekend afternoon. I've been with multiple people and just my partner and always have a great time. The interior and decor of the building is amazing and really sets the mood for playing some games! Great tasty snacks and drinks too.

Easily the best board game cafe in the area! Great staff, tons of games available, and impeccably themed interior. The themed food and drinks really add to the experience as well!

The round table is one of Guelph's humble staples - From incredibly nice staff to a cheerful atmosphere and great food you can't go wrong coming here! You can play boardgames, do an escape room or play one of your hobbies like magic the gathering or DnD!

This place is awesome! We did the dice shot and it was so much fun. Our server Jordan was incredible and super informative. Will definitely be back!

Such a wonderful atmosphere with a unique and fun vibe.

Selling some magic cards that I received as a gift from a friend Young man who served me at the counter was pretty good but then another gentleman came over and approached he started asking me somewhat accusatory questions about where is it the cards came from and “how long I’ve been playing magic”…Those questions seemed irrelevant. The second question basically try’s to gauge your knowledge of the game and cards (I mean I get why you ask this question but it seems a little predatory Especially to someone like me who’s never played the game), And asking where I received the cards from frankly I don’t think that matters in this type of transaction.

I didn’t end up selling any cards to the round table that day yes and I wasn’t too happy with the way They conducted themselves that day.

Overall, I would not sell any of my cards or memorabilia to round table just based on a flip floppy inconsistent customer service.

However I would definitely go the to have a beer with some friends!

Fantastic place to eat, drink, and play tabletop games. The food is quite tasty and the drinks are mainly from local breweries. They have a vast selection of board games to select from and play at your table, ranging from quick, 5-minute ones to multiple hour-long ones. They also have a games and colletable store located inside. Over all, a definite place to visit if you like to eat and play with friends and/or family!

Recommended for a group of <12 that enjoys card/board games!

Although this place isn't for everybody, I definitely thought it was cool. They had every board game you can think of and others you've never heard of. The bar is split in two different themed rooms. The first room you walk into is has a castle theme where the more casual players sitting drinking having fun. The second room in the back is a much larger and more competitive Gaming room / store. Drink service was a bit slow but hard to demand a lot from one guy running the bar and being waiter. His politeness and service made up for it. Definitely worth going back to

Good selection of games, perhaps a bit on the heavier side compared to some other board game places, but the collection of classics was very welcome, and I found something anyone could enjoy.

The round table is a good game store and has that bonus of being a cafe too. They are the best shop in guelph for magic singles. Staff is nice and helpful, prices are fair, selection is vast.

Sci-fi and fantasy themed restaurant for playing board games. Amazing decor, great food, fun games. The menu is incredibly creative including names of items that are shout outs to sci-fi and fantasy movies or shows. The staff are very helpful with games and help you identify games you may enjoy and how to play them.

Always a great time at this place. Lots of games, great staff and warm and friendly environment to come out and play your favorite board or rpg game.

It ia place to play games - board games, card games, fantasy games etc. They have a few escape rooms too. The clerks are freindly and willing to take the time to make one feel comfortable and to chat. I would suggest that you bring your friends though as meeting new people to play with or jumpling into someone else's game was not possible. That might just be me though.

Had a great time, girlfriend had a great time. Games are organized alphabetically rather than in categories, so I would suggest to the owners to create a book of games by category (2 player, >4 player, friendship enders, fast, etc) with short descriptions of the games. A few more menu items wouldn't hurt either.

It's nice to go and play a game and have a milk shake but everything is way over priced and the quality of the food is meh! The milk shakes are good 7$ a piece and runny though

They have a huge selection of games. Their drinks are dangerously delicious and their snacks are really good. Build you own nachos is super fun.
