The food is good there like the fried noodle cho mien but I don't have a picture of it second when I flex my muscles a server was funny and ask me if I gone to the gym

Great food experience, although a bit pricey. But the service is excellent with your every need being accommodated, and the staff are wonderful to be chat with.

A classic HK restaurant that serves up the classic Chinese dishes. While you can go in by yourself or with a date, it is better for a family or a group.

We won't be eating here again.

We were craving Chinese food and read the reviews, decided to eat here. The food was satisfying, quantity was good, but one would expect in a Chinese restaurant, chopsticks would of course be provided. On looking around, the people who seemed Asian all had chopsticks, but we were given forks and knife. It seemed like the fact that we look brown was the basis of their assumptions that we cannot use chopsticks. So they didn't even ask.

I'm surprised a place with such good reviews allows racial profiling to filter through the customer service provided. We saw the same thing repeated with another Iranian guest. It became worse when we addressed the issue with the server and he replied with "some people cannot control the chopsticks".

Disrespectful.

My friend and I had dinner at this restaurant, and our experience was marred by the disappointing behavior of the servers. We were shocked to witness racial profiling, as they made assumptions based on our appearance. If you don't appear Asian, they automatically provide spoons and forks instead of chopsticks. When we requested chopsticks, one of the servers went so far as to comment, "Some people cannot handle chopsticks. " It left us puzzled, wondering why we were at a Chinese restaurant if they were going to serve us food with a westernized twist. We came for an authentic experience, and it was disheartening to see them assume our preferences without even asking.

The food and service is top tier. The place is crowded and super busy, but there’s a reason for that!

Would totally recommend you and the family to enjoy some great Chinese food here as the prices are decent and the food was delicious!

This is our current go to Chinese restaurant for traditional sit down dinners. Their food is excellent and is only outdone by their exceptional waiters who are very friendly and very quick. They are heads and tails above the typical service level provided at most other chinese restaurants. They serve house soup before dinner and oranges and fortune cookies after. Their waiters are excellent with kids always trying to engage to get a smile or giggle and will give them lollipops after dinner. This restaurant is very reminiscent of GTA Chinese restaurants from the 80s - Pacific, Lucky Star, etc.

This is by far the best Cantonese seafood restaurant in Toronto. 3 dishes I must order
1. Salted egg yolk oysters
2.salt pepper soft shell crab
3. 避风塘/habour flavour shrimp
The price is also reasonable. I always go to this place every time I visit toronto. You get free soup before your meal and free desert after.

It’s always busy here. Most evenings and weekends tables are all occupied and sometimes you have to wait. It’s a fair size Resturant with large tables but it’s always packed. Yummy food everywhere you look

Food is always hot when it arrives at your table. Excellent Chinese restaurant in the whole Greater Toronto Area.

The food is super delicious and not expensive, but there are too many people and the seat is relatively narrow, and the wait for a seat is long

My go-to place for some quick Chinese dinner. The prices are decently priced for the amount they serve. The staff are also nice and friendly, it really does seem like you are part of the family.

Our go to chinese celebration dinner restaurants! Food is amazing, great value too. The crab steam rice is the best.

We booked for 12 people, service was really fast, staff was super nice. Food was really good especially the prawn fried rice & salted egg deep fried squid.

There are many kinds of food and the taste is good.
Although busy the service is still good.

My friend and I went to the restaurant, on 22 Apr, ordering beef and bean sprouts, vegetarian rolls, 1 glass of red wine shrimp rice, and fish fillet with celery and snow peas.

When the food was served, my friend had 1 bite of beef and bean sprouts, it was too watery, and stale. My friend suddenly walked to the entrance and drove the car away, leaving me behind to pay total bill $70. I asked the waiter to change to another item of food, he said he could not change it.

The waiter said I had to pay for this item even the food was too watery and stale. I said I wanted to talk to the manager, he said I would still have to pay the item

I was very upset, it was my birthday, my friend walked away without paying the bill and I had no appetite to eat other items I ordered, and had to pay the total bill. I am a regular customer for past 3 years, bringing many friends and clients to this restaurant for the good food served before.

I was very disappointed with this incident and I look forward the owner of restaurant can give a discount for the total bill the next time, if I were to go back to the restaurant again.

My last review I gave 5 stars and said best Chinese in Scarborough. But after today I’ve never been treated so rudely and embarrassed so badly. He said he was the owner. He was dismissive and disrespectful in front of a restaurant full of people. I just got off work wanted take out and don’t carry my cards I use my iPhone. It declined for some reason. I just called my bank and they said Apple Pay and Samsung pay were under maintenance until 8 am. The guy made me feel like a second class citizen and I’m a regular customer. There is absolutely no excuse to treat a woman this way. I’ve been coming here for years. I felt like crying.

The staff are very friendly and the advice is top notch! The stir-fry is of a good standard, with wok gas, and the portion is enough! The imperial concubine chicken is of a high standard and the price is reasonable. We should provide more support in the future!

I went alone, not for the meal, the attitude of the waiter was very bad, and it was difficult not to make people think that it was targeted. The Indians at the two tables behind me often went to ask about their health. I basically didn’t come here. When I checked out What do you mean by throwing the receipt on the table without using the receipt? Although the food is okay, but dine-in should not be considered again

Good food but I have a family member who knows a worker there I didn’t have to pay expensive

The Royal Chinese restaurant was a great experience. The service was wonderful even late at night, and the manager was very talkative. The food was great, i would highly recommend the golden chicken dish, which is deepfired chicken covered in salted egg yolk. The atmosphere of the restaurant is neither good nor bad to me because for an authentic Guangdong region Chinese restaurant, the atmosphere is very spot on they have special menu posted in chinese all along the walls of the restaurant which was a good feature for authenticity.

Overall score, I would give them a (8.2/10)

The food is so terrible. Eveything is either overcooked or cooked in super dirty, aged, oxidized, rancid oil. The crowd that comes here is also a bit on the odd side. This place back in the pre covid days would of been a solid 3 stars as it's food were atleast edible in the past. Only good thing was their portion is very generous. Shame that we barely ate the food. Also, the veggies were not even properly cut, one of the bunches was like one of my Douglas fir out west.

The foods are delicious and traditional, that reminded me the dishes that we had in Asia. Staffs are very friendly as well. The only problem is that you will need to be a little bit more patient when looking for an empty parking lot (or come earler). But that also implies how popular that restaurant is.

Tasty dishes with an abundance of fresh veggies and choice of meat (s). Clean inviting environment and friendly staff.

The food here is so good I have been coming for years! Always consistent and the restaurant is so clean my favourite dish is the Singapore noodles with shrimp it’s so delicious!
