Norman was such a treat, a fun and overall wonderful host.
Chilean Sea Bass and Tiramisu for dessert. Simply delicious.

Great food and well managed. There was a small issue we had but the manager recognized it on her own. We did not sayvanything about the problem and she came over and addressed the issue and made us feel you guys care. Will not give details of what she did and said but Thank You

We had some rigatoni and a burger. The rigatoni was good. The burger was amazing! It was enormous, would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu!

The Rushton is a neighbourhood institution. They've served generations of customers and they treat you like family. No nonsense service, genuine and thoughtful staff – and this neighbourhood is not an easy crowd to please. The food is consistently great. So glad it survived the pandemic – wouldn't know what to do without it!

Excellent food at the Rushton. Service was just the right amount of attentive and allowed for a relaxing meal. Great to finally be able to sit out on the covered patio.

Great selection of food, although it did take quite sometime to get our food it was not cold!

The owner of this establishment was exceptionally rude to both myself and my 5 year old son. When I asked, after 30 minutes, where my sons food was, I was met with extreme sarcasm and total indifference.
I will never go back to the Rushton and would not recommend anyone with young children to dine here.

Great food and portion sizes, everytime I stop by they never miss. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Loved their take on a espresso martini. The burrata salad is one of the best things listed on the menu!

Tasty Italian cuisine with great service and easy vibes.

Partially offset by many flies in the restaurant. Conversation with the service personnel suggested they recognized the problem and were working to get it fixed, so this might be a time sensitive issue.

This is my favorite local restaurant! I'm a huge fan of their Cesar salads and the jumbo coconut shrimp! I keep going back again and again! Love the service, food, and atmosphere.

My family and I had a wonderful time, celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday. The food was delicious and I couldn’t be happier as it made this day extremely special.

Mussels were fantastic. Good beer. Nice upscale spot to catch a playoffs game for me. Could see it as a nice date spot, small but elegant.

Interesting rule. Ordered the Salmon. Asked for no rice. Was told I could not substitute another vegetable but would be given more of what ever the dish came with. As you can see I got 5 asparagus. They won't let you take out the rice and put in another vegetable? For $30 for this dish (small piece of salmon) and I am guessing usually 2 or 3 pieces of asparagus it's a bit ridiculous. After I said something I received 2 more asparagus. What kind of restaurant won't allow you to add vegetables instead of a starch.unless of course I paid an additional $10 for a side. Not sure how quickly I will be running back to this restaurant. Disappointed.

Food was great and the portions are hugggeee. Everything tasted good especially mussels fries and lamb. I didn’t enjoy the steak as much. That was my least favourite.

This restaurant is so great. I just ordered the burger and a salad take out but have tried many other items (like mushroom salad). I have liked everything.

Tried and true, the Rushton never disappoints.
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the menu both beverage and food options are well laid out.
Salads are huge, portions are satisfying.
We came for the French onion soup tonight, rich broth lots of baked cheese and velvety onions.
Then the mains Pernod mussels and the fish fry. (battered Halibut with a fresh coleslaw and housemade fries.

Excellent value. Food is good, vibe and service better than good. Excellent, small and pleasing choice for a leisurely dinner out.

I NEVER give 5 star ratings across the board, but in this case I found nothing to fault. Our meals were exemplary, the service friendly and professional and the ambience welcoming and comfortable. Our third visit here, and each one has been enjoyable.

This is a terrible restaurant with some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life. The server was so rude to my table, the manager didn’t care at all, did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. At the end of the night the server brought us our check and said “don’t worry I’m not expecting a tip. ” Like just the worst experience ever.

This used to be my favourite restaurant on my birthday almost every year for 15 of them- until now. It was always a place that was lively, but it seemed one could always get a seat, and if not, a drink at the bar was delightful. We made reservations each occasion to be sure, and so that pattern was followed up until yesterday- this years Birthday. My husband called, a couple of days before, spoke to someone who put us down for 7 pm on the 21Jan. So after parking, arriving at a couple of minutes past 7 we went in and gave a rather overwhelmed looking woman greeter, who looked at the book and said no, we don’t have a reservation here tonight. And someone else came and said no, you have no reservations, we can’t find it, then we were shown into a plastic film covered patio and asked if we wanted to sit outside. It was freezing in there, cold would get cold in minutes so we said no. Back in the bar they said we could eat at the corner of the bar if we wanted. We were both so disappointed we left. It’s no longer a favourite of our. Loyalty means nothing anymore.

I really like this place for lunch. Been there many times. Excellent cuisine with a French accent and service. Reasonable priced. Good wines by the glass.
