It's getting expensive. Few item like insulated water bottles and thermostats and few toys didn't even work after changing batteries.
But good collection and kind customer service

Probably one of the worst thrift stores that I have shopped at. Small location with not much to rummage through. Left pretty quickly. I wouldn't recommend anyone make a special trip to this location.

Update: I reviewed this place a couple of years back, since then I have continued to be a regular customer.

I would like to Add to my review that attitude of old staff 'Lori' has been quite condescending towards certain customers who happen to be my friends as well.

2 years back I reported her behavior to manager Claudia and Assistant manager Essa who apologized and gave assurances but there has been no improvement in her behavior. We all have observed her and strongly believe its her racial bias against certain ethnicities specially immigrants.

Apart from her passing condescending comments on customers and asking personal question infront of other customers loudly and taunting manner to embarrass customers; we have noticed her yelling and cussing (behind their back) at new hires.

On an occasion when we confronted her for her behavior and warned to report her to head office, we noted her arrogant and unprofessional reply stating that 'she has been with the organization for decades and this is her part of town so good luck with the complain. '

This makes us wonder about professional and ethical standards of this store.

Great place to pick up some amazing pre-loved stuff. And if you are lucky brand new unused stuff too. Love this place for picking up books n fancy home decor stuff.

Store used to be a good place to shop and generally a good place in the Parkdale neighborhood. It is neither of these things any more. Merchandise is generally crummy and overpriced and selection is poor. But these things could be a problem of supply. This store has worse problems.

Its vibe stinks. Hit and miss with staff, and the volunteers behave as if customers are an inconvenience. Perhaps the latter just don't want to be there (the volunteers, I mean), a perfectly understandable position given that they're virtually slave labor. Too bad.

Staff - and volunteers too - used to be happier and a lot more engaging and did not take themselves too seriously to enjoy a joke - but no longer.

As have other reviewer, I've noticed the preferential treatment given to some of the less savory dealers around here. This can't help the atmosphere. It's pretty disgusting really.

It doesn't have to be this way. Compare Value Village - just over on Bloor. Despite being "for profit" (or because it is?) - it has a much better vibe. Value Village staff (no volunteers, or "slave labor") are continually restocking - and never with the attitude that customers shouldn't shop while they do so - lest they get in their "space" - whatever that is. That would be bad for business - and rude.

It's interesting when you consider that Sally gets free goods and free labor - and still can't do better.

The people who work in this store are corrupt and I advise every single one of you to donate your stuff elsewhere If you want to make profit.

ASll the valuable items that you see in the donation bins end up disappearing or saved for their close friends.
Not once, not twice but several times I witnessed this.

They always have friends around and they always have stuff saved in the inside room who come Magically into the hands of a select few.

Nepotism, favoritism and borderline corruption is happening in this store and I suggest you give your stuff away.

Not sure who to call or who to check with but seriously, someone need to seriously look into this!

This store is a shambles, complete and utter joke from the selection of goods to the standard of the store and even staff rudeness.

I'm not sure why but smaller thrift stores think its ok to have a trash ridden location with junk lying all over the place and staff have attitude for no reason whatsoever!

I really reccomend you avoid this location as anything good has already been taken by the staff and the best thing you could get from here is a headache.

Friendly staff. Large amount of books always manage to pick up one or two which is my main reason for coming to the salvation army thrift store.on my latest visit they had a huge selection of mugs 2 for 99 cents, brand new.good quality.

Not like it used to be. Perhaps the internet is partly responsible, but they just don't get good and interesting junk any more. Also, the prices for what they do get, are too high. Clothing used to be a deal, but you can get cheaper jeans (new) from Walmart, and T-shirts in Chinatown for a lot less.

The atmosphere is crummy, without any up side. The store has all the negatives of Parkdale, the meanness and the stress, without any compensation, like a good deal or some fun.

The staff almost all seem like very nice people, but they're obviously harried, caught between the old and the new Parkdale - like everyone else.

Nice little store with a huge selection of items at very affordable prices. The staff is very helpful and friendly and will always serve you with a smile. I'll be heading back there to grab some more great deals!

Great finds at times at cheaper price but very cluttered and dirty place, at one of my visit I found someone peed in the fitting rooms and both rooms were locked, returned in the evening again and the rooms were still locked for cleaning. Cranky old staff that doesn't have time to spare to assist.

Dirtiest thrift store in GTA! Hard to find decent items OR staff to assist. Except an older lady at checkout counter, hardly ANY of their staff can speak English PROPERLY, so you are better off by yourself. There is usually 1-2 staff at counter and hardly one on the floor while rest in the storage room and offices. Always a rushed service!

Such an absolute mess that even if it wasn't full of useless junk you'd never be able to find anything. Just a terrible store. Not with the visit.

I used to really love going here but they raised the prices. I still go time to time but it kills my vibe.

1.5/ 5
Bad: Rushed rude service always "without" a smile, cluttered shelves, congested racks, mixed up items-specially clothes, old Dirty store, uncooperative busy foreigner staff, every employee there appears tired and angry.very poor organization and management.
Good: cheaper then the other thrift stores.

I shop there but lately the prices r crazy high did they forget the the stuff they get from people is free. I saw a small kids jacket 29.99 and an adults jacket 39.99 and both were alittle damaged.
