Staff are stealing all the good donations. Nothing of quality ever comes out on the floor anymore.

It's always great to donate to stores. It's a whole different practice when the employees here change language often, when they get any electronic my friend speaks their language (Filipinos) : They look up all electronics on Ebay, and charge similar online prices! It's priced like a used electronic store, and instead of good deeds, they are actually trying to run it like a profitable business? We were shocked. Please choose a different Salvation Army to donate to, and call out all the employees here. They are all doing it.

Fabulous Location!

I have given and Found some really get treasures over the 27 years I've been going there.

This past Friday I popped in after getting supplies for my pets at the Wychwood pet hospital a few doors down.
Picked up a beautiful set of 100% cotton RALPH LAUREN sheets!
Plus a vintage 100% Virgin Wool Christmas Red Blanket.
Wish now as I have my morning tea and it's a Chilly Damp Sunday morning in October that I'd bought 1 of the 2 BEAUTIFUL while maxi dressing gowns.
One was pearl white satin with a luxurious faux sheep cotton lining.
The second one was white cotton Plush Tarry fabric again floor length.
But on Friday I thought White might be difficult to keep clean and passed on them.
I'm pretty sure they came from the same donation.
Because this was exactly the same size and TOP QUALITY clothing this woman clearly bought.
Wore a season and donated.
All freshly cleaned and in impeccable condition.

That is something you'll learn.
That especially at Salvation Army stores that unpack whatever comes in and it goes out onto the floor immediately.
So if those Dressing Gowns had been brought in together they with everything else that she donated goes out together.
These RALPH LAUREN sheets were probably from the same person who donated the Robes!

I wish I hadn't been so tired because I'm sure I could have found more of that particular donation.
Like I did a few months ago.
I bought 3 pairs of top quality jeans 2 black 1 blue.
I can't ever walk into a Shop that sells Nothing but jeans and find 1 pair much less 3 that fit my body PERFECTLY! Plus a black bra that must have been her's too.

Anyway go with an open mind and some time.
Because you never know what you'll find!

Lovely helpful staff some are volunteers, so please remember to always be kind.
This may be their first time!

Do miss the once a month
Friday night auctions though. Bought a Rumba on Christmas for myself for $100.

So I Highly recommend checking it out this Salvation Army thrift store.

Remember the proceeds go back into your Toronto community.

Plus all these treasures are finding New Homes and not getting dumped into the landfill sites!

Happy treasure hunting!

Enjoy your time cause you'll never know what you will find!

I use to love coming here but not much anymore. They have a “showcase” display of items but when u ask to see anything you’re met with rudeness and attitude. Don’t put things in the display unless you can hire someone to be there constantly for the purpose of showing items with a friendly attitude. They act like they aren’t trying to sell anything.

Great store, would 5 star if it opened on Sundays. Always top quality donations from the local neighborhood. Still the best location in Toronto.

This store is quite expensive compared to other thrifts store. Items are very overpriced. You can buy new shirts and pants on sale at a store for the same price as used ones from this store. I only donate here because of proximity, but I go to other thrift stores to shop

Great store, would 5 star if it opened on Sundays. Always top quality donations from the local neighborhood.

Doesn’t seem to be that organized or having a good collection of items compared to other salvation army stores I visited. But still good enough. Might need to visit another day to see if its better.

Great prices in comparison to value village!

Staff is always very friendly and helpful at this location also.

Features a large selection of well organized clothing and housewares

Decent selection of clothes and books. Prices are good compared to VV. Store was clean. Checkout was easy.
04 May 2022 16:54
Clean, organized, good selection, friendly staff. Clothes are in average to great selection, and I found some great places.
05 April 2022 12:48
Very well orginized. It is always nice make donatiins and take a look on items for decoration like vases and old books.

I used to like this store more and they tend to have a few nice things and a good selection of non clothing items. But I can't afford them anymore. I go in and I have to put back every item I pick up even if there's a huge stain on it or damaged it's too expensive. I've seen some really poor quality things being priced higher than I can buy brand new from China Town. I usually go home empty handed or with just a single item.
I can't even see anything in the glass display because there's never anyone there and if there is they're busy at the register.
I feel like the whole store was better a few month ago.

There's a bass guitar Ive seen in window priced at 300$ but it's 250$ BRAND NEW.it would be a huge shame if a kid who didn't know any better wastes their entire allowance only to get home and find out they've been scammed.by a religiously owned thrift store if all places.
But Who knows maybe someone looked up the value of that bass and priced it accordingly and I'm just mistaking it for a different one.

One of the best thrift stores in the city - consistent low prices, huge variety and friendly staff. I've found many a gem here and highly recommend!
11 August 2021 16:16
Confused as to why at 7: 30 we were turned away because you “didn’t have enough staff” lady at the door was incredibly rude. Good job.
21 June 2021 8:59
Poor service. Imagine I had to wait 2hs in line just to do a return. Wasn’t shopping just a return. I won’t be shopping there again.
09 May 2021 11:28
Sometimes you find some amazing stuff here. I’ve bought a winter coat, leather jacket, cutlery and art. But their merchandise keeps changing so you have to be lucky to find good stuff. It’s like a treasure hunt.
28 April 2021 2:48
The items are so expensive and I didn't see anything worth. The shoes are dirty and old, it looks more like trash.
26 January 2021 23:52
Smallish location but I have gotten some incredible finds. Little in ways of toys, has a small book (4 bookcases?) and media section (2 record bins and 1 bookcase). Moderate size of regular shoe display at the rear. 4-7 rows of housewares depending on season, very small electronic section. Lots of clothes but certain sections can run small, eg not many scarves, tons of outerwear, not many belts. Small amount of showcases/jewelry display but decent shoe display case.

This was my first time shopping here and it was lovely! I got everything I needed and more and spent much less that I'd thought I would. They have great variety and awesome prizes. Everything was nicely sorted, so you don't have to go around hunting too much. Super-friendly and cheerful staff too. I'm definitely going back soon!

Disappointing. I was looking for a typewriter and was disappointed to find they no longer carry them. The store was dingy and worn. Goods were not presented in an appealing manner. I'd go there if I thought they'd have something I needed, but wouldn't go to browse as it doesn't feel like a nice place to be.

Edited in response to Salvation Army reply: It's quite funny that they suggest I visit regularly in search of the item I wanted (a typewriter). A large sign bolted to the side of the building says that the SA Thrift Store no longer accepts donations of typewriters. I guess I should have attached pictures. Done that now. Also, the store was still dismal and depressing.
25 August 2020 5:47
This is one of the cleanest thrift stores I've been to. The staff are friendly and you can find many unique items. A pleasant shopping experience.
26 April 2020 19:47
My first choice in Thrift Stores. The Salvation Army are the only Thrift store that I will donate to. NOT for profit as in other's, as in Value Village. Their profits go directly back to those in need!
28 March 2020 18:46
Wonderful company helping people in two ways. First recycling things discarded and keeping prices low so anyone can buy things there.
17 February 2020 20:31
DONATE your items Here. Far better than donating to Value Village! { V V, ; are a FOR Profit company. Do NOT be fooled! By their[ V V] misleading, pubic relations! They buy from charities at an extremely low price. This is an American company that is owned by the same people that own Walmart! However donations left here, at any Salvation Army store, are sold being used to fund extremely important projects in our City. The Salvation Army is helping so many! Of the most Vulnerable in our city!
02 February 2020 2:58
This location has gone down lately. Stale inventory, very small amounts of certain section, lots of donations puled up and not on the floor
04 January 2020 8:20
I shop almost everyday at this place. I have always seen the manager called as su helping people when needed. Store is clean, organised and always new things to find. I like salvation army mainly what they do!
03 January 2020 15:36
The Salvation Army in general is great. I’m considering volunteering with the Salvation Army thrift store because of the good work that they do in the community.
21 December 2019 23:32
I always find good clothes, purses, houseware and electronics here. The staff is really nice too!
18 December 2019 20:09
Great finds, and quite organized. Staff in general are hit or miss, however there are two in particular who are always very helpful and friendly.
08 December 2019 3:23
The customer service was decent, two of the workers were pretty nice. The cashier looked like she hates the world. The isles were pretty organized and the selection was pretty good. This is definitely a good store to shop at.
23 November 2019 21:07
Nice for clothes. You sometimes get good bargain. But noticed that most of the items don't happen to be the one you want. You do need a lot of time, with some people suggest coming weekly to look at what's the latest that has come in.
24 October 2019 18:49
Store was clean but production extremely slow. You all know the saying, 'when the boss is away. '
15 September 2019 6:14
I love the art and knick knacks, but it always smells like poo in the change rooms! It’s very dirty overall!
07 September 2019 4:03
I love the Salvation army Thrift stores. I've been to many throughout the GTA and I always find amazing clothes. They don't apply taxes to the items that they sell, which is amazing. I recommend all the SA thrift stores in the GTA!
05 September 2019 10:01
Nice place. Clean. Good service. Lots of interesting finds.

Thank you St. Vincent Du Paul.
24 February 2019 8:45
I always use to luv doing shopping from this location as staff use to be very pleasant, but during my last visit came across this Indian man Suyash, very bad, arrogant attitude. He shud be taught the policies of Salvation Army Thrift Store, rather than arguing customers and bringing bad name for the company's reputation.
03 February 2019 9:31
Great spot for finding new clothes at excellent prices.and the money goes to a good cause.thank you salvation army.

Small store. Tiny electronics section. Has decent quality auction items but there are better locations.
