Yes, yes, I Know. Inflation. But at a THRIFT store where things are donated? I bought 3 skorts, all $10 each. And found the electronics to be a bit pricey too. I mean I know I probably sound cheap as hell saying that but people who thrift shop know, that's not that great for used clothing. I bought 5 items, (not expensive brand names) and altogether and spent $52. That's pretty steep for thrifting. I purchased new and on sale for that. Times are tough right now and for some people that's all we could afford. I donate a TON too. But in all honesty, I donate that to value village, ONLY because it gets you 20% off your next purchase.

Really good place, it has everything you need, has really nice staff, and also a good place to work.

By far my favourite thrift store in the city.reasonably priced, the items are always organized and never picked over, and the staff is very friendly.especially the lady who’s name i believe to be arlene.she’s always in such a good mood and very kind!

the reason why i give 3 stars is because of the experience i had today when i went in to exchange something that didn’t fit (since they don’t have change rooms). On the receipt it says i have 30 days to exchange it or get store credit.no refunds.which is fine, i have no issue with that.i looked around the store for about an hour and didn’t find anything that was my style so i went to the register for store credit.i was redirected to what i believed to be the manager.he said they usually do exchanges and that i could look around.then if the new item i chose is cheaper than what i paid for the original item, most people donate it or i could get it on a gift card.i told him i had been looking around for awhile and couldn’t find anything.he was hesitant before saying it was policy that they usually don’t do store credit, but that he’d make an exception for me.which i definitely appreciate don’t get me wrong! But if they don’t do store credit then it shouldn’t be advertised on the screens at the registers, or on the bottom of the receipt.i’m not one to leave reviews like this, but it was just a little unexpected from this store as well as disappointing

Great spot for finding some hidden gems when it comes to clothing. Do the digging and you will be rewarded. Excellent prices.

This is a very well run location. I love all the staff there they are all hard working and very personable. Great deals and prices are even better with 10 percent off every day for seniors.

At least they aren't into making huge profit like goodwill where the CEO makes well over one million $ per yr.just saying.

A nice place to go on Saturdays to see or buy second hand stuff. Ornaments, clothing, books, cds, dvds, vhs, etc. There are many things you can look for. Very friendly staff. Check it out!

I love this thrift store, they are organized and have a great selection. The staff here are very nice and they will give you a coupon to use in the store when you donate something. I find the prices here are better than other thrift stores, all taxes are included and they also offer a seniors discount.

One of my favorite thrift stores in the region, prices can be weird with some things being really expensive for no reason but I do usually find really good deals here!

They HELP people with the money they make.stop going to value village or the goodwill.those other places have owners who live in MANSIONS

The new manager, a big overweight older man, is extremely ignorant.
I have heard this from a few people who will not shop there anymore. He is always there and does not act like a manager at all.
He tells anyone who will listen about his 'coming out of retirement because he was very overweight and all he did was watch Netflix and YouTube all day for many years. '
He is very loud and walks around the store all hyped up like he's on something. He does not make it a comfortable experience shopping there and it's unfortunate that he is employed there.

The way he is, I hope he doesn't last long.

A lot of selections of good brands especially for kids stuff for a very good price. Love coming to this place especially for my kids stuffs.

I would recommend the salvation army thrift store no matter which location because they do help out their community and other non profit organizations. They items are in decent condition and they are absolutely not expensive compared to the value village.if you can please donate to them.

Living in a place (Ecuador), where "second hand clothing" means "rags", shopping at the Sally Anne was like Heroin to a recovering addict. Too much selection, too much variety, and too affordable!
We brought along things my aging mother no longer needed, and got a 20% discount, to top it off.
The staff was friendly and helpful and downright fun. The store was bright, airy and clean.
I now hate buying new clothes, because it's just too limited and expensive. Add to that, all clothing there, is truly preshrunk and comfortable to wear. I don't have to be afraid of wrecking anything, so I'm always happy.

I live right behind this place and they throw/smash cutlery into the back of their garbage bin outback with no regard for those who live right there and are trying to enjoy a nice day on their balconies. Very inconsiderate to those who have issues with loud sudden smashing sounds! This location is very badly supervised and maintained which is clear by their employees sloppy actions!

Had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a thrift store. Went to check out when a friend noticed a hole in a sweater. My friend asked the clerk for a discount as I am able to fix the hole. The item was taken from me and brought to the back. Once brought to the back I was told I was unable to purchase the item. The lady was extremely rude and said the item had already been thrown out. Never heard of this policy at any other Salvation Army or had such rude condescending service at any other locations. Extremely disgusted and disappointed with the ladies working.

The friendly staff are the reason I return. I love the thrill of bargain hunting and always find a "new to me treasure". Great place to find reasonable treasures. Love the auction as well.

Merchandise is fairly priced, they employ people in the local marketplace, and the profits BENEFIT the Shelters, Food Banks, Employment and other programs to help lift people out of their current situations.
23 September 2019 2:25
Pricing is way out of line in this store. $ Store items with original tags can be double the new price. Shop with caution.

Great store. Got everything i needed in 1 stop. Visit this store often. Will continue to return to this store. Staff has always been helpful and very polite. Thx

Nice people and they will hold things for customers until they can pick it up and they will also deliver for a fee.

I love the staff at the salvation army and here is why:

1) they treat people with respect and they really care. I love the cashier with the purple hair. She always helps me out. All of them do.

2) it's a thrift store, people don't judge you and there are amazing finds

3) prices are amazing and there is so much to choose from

4) they want to help the community and their policies are straight forward

Thank you for helping me everytime and putting a smile on my face.

Always a good deal on 2nd hand items. Carries a wide variety but like any second hand store check your goods for any imperfections. Where possible try on clothes before purchasing
25 April 2019 21:44
My favourite chain of thrift stores, im always finding treasures here. The auctions are great and each salvation army has one on a different night so you can attend them all. When you donate at any salvation army you recieve a 10$ of 25$ coupon plus your helping the community. I Love this organization.

Compared to other thrift stores, this one is just ok. The staff is always friendly but some of the items smell or are damaged. I love going to thrift stores but there are definitely better ones in St. Catherine's. The book selection is not great and most of the children's books are damaged. I realize that the things there are donated, but I've been to others that will wash the clothing or check for holes before they put it on the floor. Even the furniture could use a wipe every once in a while. On the upside, if there's a larger item that you can't take right away, you can pay for it and they'll hold it for you until you make other arrangements. All in all, not the worst but not the best.
30 January 2019 14:05
Hey do you know this salvation army get more new stuff it's Christmas time go check if you would find some treasure one person trash is another person's treasure is end of the year go to help same one in the world

27 January 2019 6:56
This has to be the most organized thrift store in existence. Everything is organized by category, size and colour. Everyway possible to make shopping here a pleasure. A lot of regular retail stores could learn from this place. Compliments to the management and staff
26 January 2019 13:22
Worst place ever! I walked in; and then; IMMEDIATELY walked RIGHT OUT. They are just a split image of Value Village. Over priced for slippers DOLLARAMA sells! Over priced for quite a lot. Disgusting. Never gonna go back.
25 January 2019 6:48
One of my favourite thrift stores in the city. Selection is good and they typically have a pretty quick inventory turnover. Selection is not as good as Value Village but Salvation Army is a Not-for-Profit so they'll never gauge you with unnecessarily high mark-ups like you'd see at other thrift stores in the area. I've found that their furniture selection is much better than Value Village and again very reasonably priced compared to for-profit thrift stores.
