The Salvation Army Thrift Store

No so big, but the staff very nice.all stuff sale without tax, good place to find some second hand products and they are really charity organisations!

Lots of big name clothing in great condition. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. This is my 2nd visit here and I find it to be one of the best Sally Ann stores around loads of parking and excellent prices too

Lots of unique and vintage items there, I visited many times. There are clothes, electronics, toys, and a lot more. The people there are very friendly, and making donations are very easy, through passing them to the staff at the back

In a short time I found 2 pairs of perfectly fitting jeans, Guess and American Eagle in just broken in shape, 14.99 each and a pair of Levis.

A friendly place to shop. Since it’s In Markham there are a number of stuffs useful to Chinese. I can found a number of cookware, stationary written in Chinese. I have bought a Chinese medicine boiling pot. One thing I discovered that the same kind of bowl sold at Kennedy location cost 99cents but here 1.99! It’s a small store but you can found fluffy toys, bed frame, coach bags, clothing, cookware, electric small appliances, books, video, games, shoes, glassware etc.

I miss working with James in the donation area and Diane in the store front. When I lived in Toronto for school. I’m 30 now!

Pleasant, friendly staff who are always there to welcome you. The Store Manager, Dianne was exceptionally polite and takes care of her customers very well. Often you see customers making a point to talk. Diane is polite and she knows her customers and often made valid recommendations. She treats her staff well and I see mutual respect from her staff too. Her positive attitude and work ethics made the store a pleasant place to visit every time.

Neat place to shop for used items at a good price. More cashier will help. Service is everything.

The manager here is not nice to new faces as I feel she only likes to get smiley and chatty with her friends. Many instances I have been brushed off and/or ignored as she'd rather chit chat with her buddies instead. Not returning to this location.

When I tried to donate some items to this thrift store, the employee inside the store said that I needed to donate the items through the back door. At the back however, the employee there said that the back area is closed at six even though the store was open, and said I was two minutes late and they couldn’t accept anything after six without the employee getting into trouble. I took the items back and we will not be coming here again.

I left the store happy today. Was always curious to find out what's inside, take a peak or two at the selection. We had a great bargain today for 2 patio chairs and a table, as well as a table soccer! It will cost me more to purchase a paint, actually. I felt intimidated to go and try huge stores like value village, and this cozy store made me feel excited. Definately gonna come back. Thank you, Diane for your help.

It's becoming a cramped high-end garage sale location. Staff, both on payroll and volunteers make this an enjoyable place to shop. Until the recent introduction of the new GM, i think that your manager Isola, (i apologize if i did not spell her name correctly) has been, for the longest time, the glue that has kept the staff together the years I have been shopping at that location. Otherwise, well maintained location, decent piped music and ample parking for shoppers. Can't say enough about your volunteers.

If you want people donating the stuff to put it in the box, place proper signs stating the same. Don't say the same in rude manner.please be nice.

Finally went to SA after the lockdown & very pleased with my purchases.a lovely dress, & 4 t-shirts for my son.reasonably priced.store is well stocked with variety of clothes, kitchenware, golf clubs, even a piano.clean store & following all covid protocols.

As a very frequent customer here are some of the things I've noticed. Selection from inside the store is good and every so often they have good things. Here is where my main concern comes in. From what I've noticed, some of the supervisors of this establishment abuse their power way to much when it comes to directing workers. Especially for the workers in the back who take donations. All they do is give orders to them and cannot do anything by themselves. Absolutly no respect is shown to them either. Everyone has a specific task except them. People like Anuba and Diana. One of the supervisors named Robin is exempt from this as I've seen that she shows respect to every worker and is very kind about everything she asks. I hope this issue gets sorted out at this place because I truly do feel for the workers in the back and I definitely DO NOT want to shop at a place where employees are not treated fairly.

The Salvation Army does so many good things for so many people. They have touched my life when I was younger and I feel better every time I donate to them. They have friendly staff and I recommend that everyone to help their charitable organisation and people in need. Their recycled items they sell helps improves the lives of others without much of a cost.

The staff is so courteous, the store has the items displayed very well. The store is clean and well laid out

A small community thrift store with not much variety. Great if you are in the area, but I wouldn't make a stop to thrift here specifically. Clothes are either from fast fashion brands, walmart/sears or from your grandparent's closet and are worn out and raggedy. Shoes look like they've walked a thousand kilometres in. There was a lot of variety several years ago, however the rise of selling second hand elsewhere (i.e. Kijiji) has depleted their donations and inventory. They are also very picky on what they take for donations. The man at the back door this afternoon did not even greet me, nor assist me with unloading my donations and simply said "we do not take toys. " I replied that I have no toys to donate (I'm in my late 20s). No thank you either.

A good first for a second time around. A small store with a good selection of books, games and movies fill out a wide selection of he and she clothing big and small. It's where I got my winter jacket and hat. Shirt I bought was 50% off and is like new. Always something in their isles to find.and staff are approachable.

Nice store but I don't buy into them saying that they have no washroom for customers. Really? Every thrift store has one, you cannot operate or open that business without one. Please.

This is a nice location, it may be on the small side but it always happens to have a variety of interesting items available. Prices can fluctuate between reasonable & pricey but you never know what kind of treasure you'll find when you look through the aisles. Staff are very helpful & friendly at this location

I really like the book section. I can take a while to read books with life getting in the way so it’s nice to pick some up at a good price, read them at my own pace, and donate them back again.

Perfect to give textiles to be recycled. Many other items can be donated to be sold for money that inturn gives back to the community helping others less fortunate! I'm often going shopping and find great kitchen items and camping gear!

Small store that is decently maintained but suffering for good quality product on the floor. Books are a great price.

This is a great shop for children's clothing, (mom's on a budget). The staff, once you get to know them, are very friendly and helpful. This is totally wheelchair/handicap friendly. Parking right outside the door.

Great place. Friendly staff. I go to there whenever I drop off the bags. I totally believe in the recycling reuse strategy. Every time it gave me a treasure hunt experience!

Very friendly staff, a lot book and movie choices. Decent furnite options and the clothes are not very vintage.

We all have to work and sometimes we take any job just to get by and makr a living, with that comes genuine care and attentiveness so, it is also hard to real caring people who really love their jobs and would do anything to make your day, this location is the most amazing location to come and find your treasure! The staff, namely Monty, is the best and along everyone else, would make your day even more pleasant by a genuine approach filled with professionalism, humbleness and caring attitude. I do appreciate their hard work and passion filled side of dealing with customers!
