The Salvation Army Thrift Store

Its as good as a Non-profit organization store can get. The staff are very helpful and they have a wide verity of goods from Cups to Jeans. I can promise you that you can find something inside this Thrift Store.

Great stuff at a reasonable price for thrifted stuff. Clothes would be need a food wash though!

It's small with not much of a selection when it comes to electronics and housewares. Lots of clothes and friendly staff

Wow they did a big clean up and rerange to utilize traffic flow better. Before theu Just had empty row og bookcased blocking stack together

This place is starting to get very greedy on prices specially for things they got for free. Like seriously trying to charge $300 for a used old tv that has a broken tv stand is utter nonsense price, specially for this price can buy a brand new smart tv from Walmart for same price. Sometimes this location has used bicycles at ridiculous price as well as Walmart sells same exact bike brand new for same price this location is trying to sell a used bicycle. Some sweaters or shirts prices have been increasing as well to nearly same price as a store sells it for brand new. Who ever is making the prices for this location doesn’t know the store prices for brand new items.

My rating is based on the store’s purchase and return policy, and not on the goods/services rendered. I visited the store recently and customers are STILL not allowed to try on clothes before purchasing even though Covid-19 related restrictions have been considerably relaxed. So, customers are not allowed to try clothes and they cannot return said clothes for refund if they don’t fit when they get home. Please, what is the rational for this policy? It should be either or! It’s very unfair at this point to compel your customers to get things they do not want because you only offer exchanges. Imagine spending C$70 and upwards for stuff you don’t want because the store refuses to refund your money when you were not allowed to try the clothes in-store in the first place. Please, review this policy because it is heart breaking.

I love the Richmond Road store, I always find great products at super prices. The staff is the best though, they make you feel welcome. Thank you guys! Keep up the good work!

It's alright. Not the biggest selection of items but they have the occasional nice find, like my espresso machine Not that spectacular of a store but no reason to remove a star. At least one of the staff is a really awesome person.

After weeks of lockdown, regular thrift shopping finally resumes with of course, safety restrictions applied. So glad to be back in the store with awesome stuff. Check this out.

Holy smokes, not sure what happened at this location but for the past few months they have been over pricing many items! They have a dance dance revolution for Wii for $200! Wii system at 100$! When I asked the manager about it she told me that they are googling items and finding out the prices like that. Worst thrift store in Ottawa! Don’t waste your time!

I just loved spend my time there. Everyone have been just awesome. I have everything what I need but chating with the staff is something that I enjoy, obviously it's natural to be skeptical about anything you buy there specially electronics but anyway I enjoy the store. I've bought electronic, clothing and houseware I am a regular customer.

Staff is so rude and everything is all over the place disorganized, they pick on people who have anxiety also, don't follow covid rules the staff don't give spade cause they think they are better then thier customers. It used to be good but now some other lady is managing it.

As a student, I would definitely recommend the store. I really like the location as it is easy to get to by bus. Upon walking in the store, it was very clean and well organized, the prices were reasonable. The Manager and her team of staff were very polite and kind. I really enjoyed my shopping experience in this store. I would definitely recommend this store to others, and will come back often!

I am thrilled to see the store reopened. I really missed going there. And I love how they reorganized the store, it even seems bigger than before!

Would be nice if staff asked the multiple clients to cover their nose and mouth with their masks, not just have to have it on their face.really people? Very Impressed with hand sanitizer available upon entering the shop anda also there when paying, nice touch that Walmart doesn't even do.

Visited this store on more than one occasion and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely horrible staff. No one's happy, place is depressing. No smiles, nothing. Who ever is in charge or hires needs to be let go. The store manager also needs to be fired 100%

I've been going to this store for years and I never have seen it better than now. It's one of the the best stores to go to. Prices are amazing, store looks great, the staff are all friendly and the manager is so nice and sweet, she is always smiling no matter what. You have to respect the staff, they work so hard running around cleaning up after customers and putting out new stuff all day, everyday.

Prices are way to high. This is a Salvation Army! Their there to help the less fortunate not extort them. I was in their today and saw a sweater for $30 and winter jackets for $100, $140, $159 that's crazy. The staff isn't friendly, noone smiles or greets you they don't even ask how your day is. I've been going into that store for 20 years now in the past 5 years I've watched it fall apart. When Tammy & Holly were their the store was great! It was friendly, clean and the prices were excellent. When I asked who makes the prices I was spoken to like I was garbage. Doubt I'll go there again

Good place for donations and they give you coupon to redeem with donation for good sale. Awesome job

Love this store. Staff are so friendly and professional and the store is always clean. They always have great clothes, and I always leave with so much awesome new stuff at great prices.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to the store stuff and the store Manager who kept me out of troubles a couple of weeks ago when I thrifted in the store and I forgot my purse with documents and a cash in the fitting room. The angel Manager came to me with my purse and gave it to me back with a big smile! I was on the seven clouds! SO thankful! What a wonderful, safe place to thrift! Honest, caring people working for us in this store!)

Staff were incredibly rude when I asked to speak with the person who did pricing. I found that a lot of the prices were unjustifyably high especially for a thrift store and was told "why don't you go to Wal-Mart then". I left.

Kinda nice to go to a thrift store that isn't so overwhelming with stock. Prices are great, especially the 10% discount every day for seniors. Bought a few things that made me smile.

Large thrift store. Sometimes you find nice/interesting items. Convenient for donating unwanted things too.

Small selection of items (you can only fit so much in one store after all, that's normal.)
But if you need books, definitely get them here. Great prices, very reasonable, the staff is nice, and this is a REAL charity.

Bad management decisions. Wouldn't let me buy an empty videogame box for the usual 99 cents. Good old days are fading

I love this place! Mostly for their painting collection, for cheap too! They have various unique second hand clothing collections, and furniture items as well. You'll have better luck shopping for shoes else where, but everything else you could need from a second hand stores.they have it!

Was able to find what I needed had a good selection of dishes. Cashier was friendly and took the time to wrap and pack everything for me.

Some staff are nice and I've had great interactions with those ones, but the old worn out women who work there hate everyone and will make you put back everything if your short 5 cents, also they don't have bags so how do you shop lol.
