The Salvation Army Thrift Store

There's a particular older cashier lady, wears glasses not too short and light colored hair who's quite rude in her behavior. Had 3 incidences so far. Gave her a benefit of the doubt thinking its just a bad day and everyone has one. But no, happened a few times now and not just with me. She behaved very poorly with a young mum with a baby broke my heart when I actually thought about it on my way back. She behaves over authoritatively as if you owe her gratitude for being able to shop there. Needs a serious attitude adjustment, there's no excuse to being mean to people who are nice to you. If you had bad customers it would have made sense if you're put off but your attitude towards vulnerable people who are being humble is so sad. Makes one feel so small and hurts their self respect! I pray you learn how wrong your behavior is on your own, coz I'd never want to interact with you again. I'd rather walk out the store than deal with your condescending mannerisms.
(Rest of the staff is super friendly and nice, including the seasonal staff)

Some of the clothing seemed a bit overpriced, i.e, Pairof new work gloves 12 bucks plus tax.super friendly staff! A little unorganized, but that's what makes thrift shopping fun!

Great store and clean inside. Found a great picture at this store for our house. We found some other items in this store for around our home.

I worked here as a volunteer for my last high school credit and let me tell you it was the best experience ever. All the staff and other volunteers are extremely helpful, caring and friendly.

The manager at the time I was there was so understanding of my personal health of what I was going through.

The work tasks were simply but you never had to worry as help was always a foot away and they would also BRIEFLY instruct you on how to do it.

I definitely recommend volunteering here.

I got there to buy books. The people are always there to help and the books are always much less expensive than anywhere else in Guelph.

Small, but we'll organized, the staff are very friendly, they're generally priced better than similar stores.

My favourite thrift store! Mainly because I know so much of their proceeds actually go to charity rather than salaries and facilities. Also, their prices are fairly reasonable.

Manager Alisha refused my donation.she told me rudley to keep it. It was a Universal Remote that worked worth 14$. She said it was too cheap of an item for a 10$ coupon. We SHOP here all the time 3 to 4 times a week. To my understanding this is a for charity place she was rude

Adore this thrift store. Small store but great quality stuff and the staff is amazing. Also if you give a donation you get a discount card to use in the store at anytime. Wonderful place.

SHAME ON YOU for raising the media prices today knowing that people will come for the 60% off. A soft cover book that was before on any given day $0.99, they changed the price to $1.99 and some were at $2.99, same books. I am sure the same goes for the other items that were 40%-50%. I was only checking out the books. I am utterly disappointed the way they handled their so called "Non-profit organization". This is called false advertising. I was visiting different Thrift Stores today a, nd no where have I seen such impertinance.

Felt awful after learning the items I wished to donate would be thrown away or sent to be recycled because there was "too much in the store just like what I wished to donate"
Took it all to Goodwill where it was accepted with a friendly welcome and thank you.

Pretty good store. Supports a good cause. Hit or miss sometimes, there are usually some hidden gems. Staff is very friendly!

Good clothing, housewares were not cleaned properly. Blown up egg in a microwave ain't a great selling point.

Really friendly staff and great deals. I got a Ricky's dress looked brand new for $11.00. Hot another dress designer and two dress shirts for my husband for a total of 36.00.
