Great selection of foods, drinks, clothes and other items all from the British Isles. Came here looking for Camp Coffee. Found that and more! The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Prices are more reasonable here than the new British Bake place down the street. The selection is far superior but they don't sell any fresh baked goods so perhaps you should buy your grocery items here and then mozey on down to the other store afterwards.
Good place for knick knacks, traditional foods, but beware of made in china blunders.bought flag of Ireland and had to exchange, it was backwards lol, other than slight delay, corrective exchange was made hassle free and I'm glad the blunder made in china was pointed out
Love this store. Lots of British goodies at good prices. I love the mince pies and other foods you would have trouble finding elsewhere. Well worth a look.
This is the second time we have been here and it was closed. The days closed posted on their website are different than actual closed days. They need to update their website with current times.
Neat store, they are still getting people to mask up. I suspect they are letting people shop there that are Scottish or Irish and not Scottish AND Irish. What's next? Letting in the Welsh?
Cute store with all your scottish, Irish and British needs. Panty, jewelry, clothing and more! Loved the frozen scones and neat pantry items that are unique to scotland
Ordered a double plaque close to 100 dollars came damaged and was told that 10 Refund was going to be refunded. Turns out its 4 dollars refund. Customer service was terrible, not helpful at all on the phone or in person. It's unfortunate because my grandpa went there to shop, my dad and now me 3 generations. I will not be going back.
We love this place, I'm not Scottish or Irish but I love the store and the great selection of over seas treats and foods you can find here.they carry a lot of wonderful little treasures.the store is always super clean and the staff is always happy to meet and greet you and help you out with any questions you may have.they are a wonder Bunch of people.give this place a shot and around Christmas you can find the best Toffee. (the one with the mini hammer)
Purveyor of delights and great service. Seek and you'll find a source for great treats and drinks like proper Irn Bru. A stroll to the back will bring you to the freezers where one will find Haggis, meat pies, proper square sausage (breakfast done right) with all the teas, and grocery items for a proper pantry. Don't forget your crisps for your armload of treasures on your way to the checkout.
Interesting place! Big selection of sweets (especially puddings and candies), spreads (even a Vegemite!), and also lots clothes and souvenirs. I would put 5/5, but here is no option for cash payment, hope you’ll change it.
My favourite shop for all my UK goodies. However, because of the container situation around the world, some of my favourites not in stock, but that is not the shops doing. I always leave with several items regardless. Friendly staff
I love going here. I always find interesting new foods to try, along with my British favorites! They have fridges full of classic British pies and shelves full of all sorts of sweets from across the area! My favorites are Irn Bru and chocolate Devon custard. It's also a great place to find gifts for someone who has a large Scottish, British or Irish heritage.
A great spot! The only disappointing thing for me is that I didn't come to this store years ago! Lots of great UK products, picked up a few things that reminded me of growing up in Newfoundland
Came in to pick up some Irish tea. Upon entering I heard a voice ask me to sanitize my hands. Totally fair and was happy to do so until I turned around and saw the shop owner/employee maskless behind a small partition. No tea is worth getting Covid, left immediately.
Although my favorites are not always available, due to the Covid pandemic, I can always count on the great customer service. The gals here are very helpful and friendly.
The absolute level of professional customer service and the friendly atmosphere make the trip to ottawa from petawawa well worth it. My mom is always excited to be able to come here and get all the treats and tastes of her childhood. I can't wait to come again
So happy we finally found a place that sells pasties. Such a variety and the staff are all so friendly. My husband is in heaven with his pasties. His mother made them all the time.
Mixed review here. Let's start at the beginning, I purchased a male's sweater back in September for my brother in law's Christmas present. They (the store) both called and emailed saying that they did not have the sweater in the colour and size I ordered. They, however, gave me options on how to move forward. Either; get a different colour or wait until the next batch came in (which they did say would not be in until early November) or cancel the order. I chose to wait, as November was still way before Christmas day. When it finally arrived (in mid Nov - I have an email on Nov 18th saying it was being mailed) I put it will the other presents and didn't think about it until Nov 25, as we were a month away. I took it out and was going to wrap it and noticed that they had sent the wrong size. I emailed the store on Nov 25 and did finally get a response on December 3rd after sending a second email on Dec 2 (which I'm sure they are busy right now - so I didn't blame them for missing one email). They said they would send the correct sweater after I had returned the original one they sent out to me. Unfortunately I was unable to get to the post office until the 9th and it costed me an additional $16.20 CAD to ship back. So the sweater that costed 99.95CAD before tax, 128.66CAD with tax and shipping, ultimately costed me 144.86CAD (which isn't that bad, but it is annoying). Thankfully, I received the correct one yesterday. Sadly I severely doubt I will ever be shopping here again and I would not recommend purchasing anything online. If you do purchase something online, it is only fair to say they were pleasant in email form. If you live in Ottawa or the surrounds, it might be a nice place to go to because the quality of the product was quite nice.
A very cozy little shop selling all your favourite UK goodies. I've been to both branches and can say that they have quite a nice selection. I personally like the sausage rolls myself.
Lived in London for 6 months and this place has everything that I ever randomly crave from there at a reasonable price.
Obviously their prices are higher than what you'd pay in London, but what do you expect when they're shipping it all the way from there. I have no issue paying their prices if it means getting to satisfy my cravings.
The staff is very friendly and are extremely helpful!
The staff are lovely and very knowledgeable. There is a wide selection of quality products available. I would highly recommend visiting this fine store.
It's obviously a very specialized store, but since my wife is born Irish this is a treasure trove for an Irish immigrant. The service is absolutely excellent, and I would mention names if I actually remembered any. I am giving it four stars cause they don't actually have any products with my wife's clan name, but if we asked I'm sure they'd fix some. Awesome place. Wish there was a store like this in Ottawa with products from my own country.
My first time at the store. Very impressed with the service and selection of not only clothing, jewelry souveneers but also traditional Scottish and Irish food items.
