It is exactly what you’re hoping for, classic, old school diner/family restaurant food like when you were a kid. Hits the spot every time.

I really enjoyed the buffet.usually a buffet is a waste of money for me but I actually had about 3 helpings

Probably THE BEST BUFFET I have ever had in my entire life. Succulent beef, Pasta, mashed or baked potatoes, chicken, and perfectly lightly breaded yellow perch to DIE for. Can't say enough!

Buffet is way overpriced. Place is very dirty basically filthy. Buffet food is not hot or fresh.
Staff said they don’t make cocktails (like a screw driver) even though full bar area. Staff complained to customers about being busy.
One gross dessert that was gluten free.

Food was ok very little vegetarian options.buffet pricey for what's available very limited bar options

I ordered seniors sole plate with potatoe and 1 vegetable. Green beans were cold so I sent them back. Fish was tasteless and luke warm. Baked potatoe was good. At check out she forgot the additional 10% off for the seniors plate. Restaurant is run down. I would not choose to go back. Poor quality for $15.95 plate.

The Sherwood is an "old standard" in Brantford. Great staff who provide happy service combined with delicious food make it comfortable place to dine. There's nothing fancy but if you fancy good food in a nice community atmosphere it will not disappoint.

Stopped in for the first time. Was greeted right away. Sat down and had some water. About 10 minutes later a lady came up and asked us if we were ready to order. I said no we haven't even gotten a menu from you guys yet lol. She gets us a menu. The bacon was crisp cardboard. The toast was burnt. The homefries are like potatoes chips super crispy with no potatoes in it and overcooked.
All in all probably won't be back. The food just looked so cheap and tasted even more cheap.
The staff were friendly though.
**edit, due to the owners response I'd more than willing to try again. It really is a cute restaurant with the peter pan theme. Next time I drive through brantford I'll pull in and try again**

Had to wait 1 hr due to factory take out orders, should have been told, would have went elsewere.

Home fries where extremely hard, could not eat.

This is the last time we order an annual Christmas meal from the Sherwood. This year - NO salad, NO dessert, and $21.95 per for senior Turkey dinners. Your greed has lost 4 customers.

This place is filthy. The service was slow and rude. The food was mediocre at best. Avoid at all cost.

Service was slow but the food was great. Our server Ramona was lovely. The place could use a face lift but it was truly a great brunch.

Had the family roast beef dinner was very impressed a lot of food for the price. Everything was hot and fresh. Sunday dinner without the fuss. Will definitely order again.

Compliments to the staff. Had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Staff were amazing with everyone. Place was overflowing with patrons.

Fantastic meal, excellent service. Ramona was our server and she was top shelf. Will definitely be back.

I honestly do not like rating so low but this was hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a breakfast restaurant. I've been going to this place for over 15 years and the food is always decent. Today the eggs benedict Hollandaise sauce tasted like pure butter. Found hair on two different items and the server came over to take our order and to give us the bill. Asked for water three times and received it when ready to leave. Every staff member walking around there look like they would rather be anywhere else in the world but there! Sorry, but something has to change but this place quickly.

Good place to work the staff are amazing and the cooks are extremely talented I always love getting food from the sheerwood some of the best I've had definitely recommend the soups of the day.

We did a breakfast on their temporary patio on the way home from Paris. Eggs, etc were well cooked and served. Service was a little slow but efficient t. Maybe they forgot everyone wants to take Dad out fro breakfast today? We’d eat there again.

Dennis and the gang are the nicest people you'll ever meet and the food is incredible. A must-visit if you're in Brantford.

Came here for Mothers day dinner buffet. Smaller buffet, but decent. Ran out of some desserts, and we didn't stay to see if they brought more out. Very accommodating and nice staff. Little pricey for the size of buffet, but still good.

Wait staff clearly didnt want to be there, took our order my mother and I received our food but my kids didnt get they're food until well after 15 min later. When I asked our waitress where the kids order was she snapped at me that shes the only 1 there and shell bring it out when it's ready. The kids ordered a hamburger, and scrambled eggs, food that shouldn't take more then 10 mins to make. There were literally 5 tables of people when we were there. I Will never return to this place it wasn't very clean and service sucked balls. My mother was a regular customer and now will not return.

This place is a favourite Sunday morning breakfast spot! The brunch buffet hits the spot, all the spots! Even the desert table is excellent if you still have any room left. I’ve gone midweek too for breakfast or lunch and the food is just as good. Usually seated immediately and the service is quite good.

Sub par food. Not a lot of options for the price you pay for the buffet. We only go because our parents like going on Mother's day or we would never eat at this place. I really don't suggest this place to others. But if you go the juice refills are included in the 21.00 price for the buffet, And the juice was the best part of the meal, I had 4 glasses. Lol

We arrived from our if town on mothers day for our 1130am reservation at 11am. Apparently the restaurant is unaware of the difference between seatings and reservations. 14 in our party with 8 children. Everyone with a 1130am reservation arrived after us. At 1130am some select groups were left in including a server's family. At quarter to 12 I went to complain and was told after a five minute wait everyone had a reservation for 1130am. Finally seated at 1155 am. Mediocre food at premium price, obviously completely mismanaged and missing items advertised. Do yourself a favour and find a chain restaurant because at least they will be up front with you.
