Good burgers and fries. Unfortunately, they serve U. S.sized pints (16oz) for the price of a 20oz elsewhere.

Warning. I was denied indoor service even though I am double vaccinated. They do not allow people who have a federal certificate to dine indoors if the QR code doesn’t work than they won’t accept it or think it’s fake. I’m in the military and all of our members have federal healthcare so if your healthcare is outside of OHIP then they will reject you from dinning inside.

The burger was good. The beer the served was flat.

Duck wings bit salty dry.
Burgers ok.
Caesar salad good.
Crab poutine is unique, but i think poutines just aren't my thing in general.
Overall not bad.

Ordered through ubereats and on time delivery. Sturdy takeout cardboard packaging. Ordered 3 burgers with fries and Erie fish and chips and everyone enjoyed eating them. Juicy, flavorful and quality.

Awsome little pub. Great atmosphere and service, awesome selection of craft beers and the burgers are off the scale! A must try destination, in downtown Hamilton.

I got the Sweet Cheezus burger, and it was the best burger I have had in a good while! Although they don't take reservations, it is definitely worth the effort to try to get a spot here.

1st time there today and it gave me a WOW I am glad I did this today! "The Aprokalypse Now" with lots of bacon, delicious home burger with cheese on a an awesome bun, served up with some tasty fries. Definitely go back and try something else on the menu as there were other that caught my eye. Service was excellent!

Had the paradise burger out on the patio. Really good burger and fries. This place is not handicapped friendly. Tables and washrooms on the second floor. About 5 tables on the back heated patio.

Courteous staff and good food. They do an excellent catfish and the best duck wings my wife and I have had anywhere (juicy, not oily, and tender).
However, if you have dietary restrictions, like my wife (no gluten, soy or dairy) then you had better be careful. We were informed that most items are done in same deep fryer, so cross-contamination is problem (as my wife found out).
Unfortunately, I can't recommend the fries either - they were heavy and bit overdone - definitely not up to par with the rest of the food.
But despite that one strike and one caveat, it is still a place I would recommend if you want to nosh a little.

The hot shot burger with no cheddar. Burger was juicy and full of flavour. I couldn't the fries because they were too soft and soggy

I waited so long for my burger and finally the beef was all burned! Bad service I don’t recommend!

Welcoming staff. I got the Albuquerque Burger, which was delicious and aesthetically crafted. Waitress was really nice and overall had a great time!

My partner and I dined at The Ship this evening, an experience nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere alone is something to marvel at, with the quaint outdoor patio cozy, warm, and lit with beautiful lights, the back wall covered with gorgeous ivy. Greeted pleasantly at the door with jokes and warm regard, the wait was to be around 30 minutes. We were seated quicker than anticipated (10-15 mins at most) and offered beverages promptly by our lovely server, Danielle.
The food is absolutely to die for! I had the Sweet Cheesus burger (with additional grilled pear - highly recommended) and my partner had the Hot Shot burger with sweet potato fries. Overall, our experience here was absolutely delightful and we will certainly be back! Thanks for a lovely evening! Stay safe!

Whenever someone asks for the best burger in Hamilton, I always comment with "The Ship, hands down! " I have never been disappointed by them and neither have my friends and family. My only complaint is that they're so popular it can be difficult to get in (when not in lockdown). They're takeout is also on point with everything tasting just as fresh and delicious! Great flavors and great portion sizes!

Love their food. Hot and tasty. Picked up perch and fries. Sat in our car eating our shared lunch. Delicious. If you like a little salt then tell them to take it easy on the fries. Enjoy

Well we were there tonight, 5 of us. Rustic the place is, we were seated in the rear patio.ok for comfort, but this is the C-19 era. Service was great, nice ladies, then the food came, four awesome burger plates, wow. I had the fish, five pieces of it, again awesome and wow. The best hamburgers in town! Great balance of craft beers and mirco brewery options. Everything on their menu is great! (I really miss their breaded chicken wings but I guess you can't have everything lol) This is my default place to bring out-of-town guests to the Hammer.

This place is amazing! Their burgers look delicious, but I got the catfish and was blown away with the high quality of it.
What makes this place really special, though, is the people working here. Everyone was extremely welcoming and I actually felt like they wanted me to be there, which is a strange thing to say. But it’s true. I was also really impressed with the beer knowledge of the staff. Truly a great Hamilton gem!

Just look at this burger and salad. All fresh and corporate free. The food is amazing. Im here and I live in St. Catherines. Plus micro brewery beer is that all they service. You definitely have to try this place. You wont be disappointed.

We were unable to eat here due to accessibility. The staff were friendly and redirected us to a place across the street. They were kind and helpful.

The burgers are fantastic! The atmosphere is casual like a pub but in a house and quaint! Prices are great! Service was good. So many beers to choose from. Great place to hook up with friends to catch up, have a beer, bite to eat and make new memories! This restaurant wouldn’t be very good for guests with wheelchairs or walking difficulties as there is a big flight of stairs to the restroom and additional dining room. It’s small on the ground level and upstairs.

Nice place to have a north American food. They dont serve vegan burger. Service is good. Nice place to hang out with friends. Different varieties of beers. Upstairs is quiter. Downstairs and patio is busy. Clean bathroom and nice decor.

I finally made it! I’ve been wanting to visit The Ship for a long time and today I made it. Our super incredible server recommended the special which had all kinds of bacon. As she described the burger special I stopped her at the forth mention of bacon and just ordered it. It was a fantastic hamburger. As I write this 3 hours later I’m still full. I couldn’t finish my fries which is way out of the ordinary for me. I enjoyed a Bobcaygeon Red and an Amsterdam blonde (Beers, not women) with my burger and I will be back.soon

The burgers here are excellent, all of them including the beef, chicken as well as veggie burger option. Fries are fresh and tasty and the selection of beer is always wonderful including seasonals from the local Niagara region brewers. While the meals may be slightly expensive for the fare you will never leave not full or wanting of anything more. All said, great beer, knowledgeable staff and excellent food.

I moved out of Hamilton this year and the one thing I miss about Hamilton is this place. The fish and chips+their house siracha sauce is bomb

Many bars and pubs on Augusta but I would say this one is the best. Comfy, friendly and welcoming, The Ship offers a tasty menu with a number of decent brews on tap including light colored cider I found very enjoyable. Like many places now they sadly cheat you on the pint, offering a smaller pint for the price of a regular pint. Not sure why nickle and diming customers is considered good business now. Sad. One of the better veggie burgers around except once it came visibly super dry and no one offered to take it back. Generous portions of fries that were seasoned with pepper for a bit of a kick. On a rainy, Saturday afternoon in January we found the place rather full compared to other restaurants. Clearly it's popular for a reason. Besides great food and beer, the staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. One even apologized for their petty beer pint silliness. I will probably come back but not often.

Had the the crab poutine along with the apple cider. Phenomenal! Great lunch. Service was quick and friendly. Great spot for lunch with friends.

Great burgers (that haven't jumped the shark yet) and awesome selection of craft beer. Back patio is a treat. Honey Lime Sriracha is a HOF condiment.

Burgers were tasty and toppings were on point. Wasn’t a big fan of the arugula in the caesar salad but that’s just a personal preference. Fast service and quality food at a reasonable price. Would recommend.

Service was great.had a draft beer and a side order of fries. It was a very generous serving and very good.

Good service, decent food - unfortunately the beer taps taste as if they are lined with Parmesan cheese.

Late Tuesday — my friend Jeff and I went for some late night beers after a soft ball tournament, feeling parched, we decide to get a beer. Upon first sip we realize we recognized the taste from an authentic Italian meal we had recently at Cima on Locke. The taste of Parmesan cheese was overwhelming and we had to return them and ask politely for ciders instead.

They had my favourite beer and not many restaurants in Hamilton supply it (Jelly King from Bellwoods Brewery in Toronto). Food was good and service was great.

Heard the food was amazing I would love to try it when they become wheelchair accessible even though it’s 2018

Drinks are okay. Staff is friendly. Location is great, especially if you can get a spot on their patio. That said, the food here is disappointing, I definitely think that's a huge area of improvement.

They have a really nice front patio and a back patio. There is decent inside seating, with a nice upstairs. No air conditioning on the hot days though.

My friends and I come here once in a while for a drink, we really do like the location, but end up spending most of our time somewhere else with better food and drinks.

I got the buttermilk northern exposure burger and it was pretty fantastic and super filling! Paired it with a Muskoka Summer Weiss beer. Spent the evening on the front patio which was great for the summer!

Cute atmosphere, had the partio open and it was cold, could have used a heat lamp. Great food, friendly service!

Beer selection is great. But the table service isn't ever on par. If you go up to the bar it's usually pretty good

The Ship always has a great selection of brews for you to choose from as well as a fast kitchen with great options. Great place for late night drinks and sitting on the patio is always a treat. The upstairs is nice but tends to get a bit rowdy.

The best thing about this place is their friendly staff, a lively bunch who always have a smile on their faces. They offer a small selection of pub food including a handful of gourmet burgers; we tried the Cheeseburger in Paradise, which was a 4/5 for us.

They also have a large selection of craft beers both on tap & can. Would highly recommend the Amsterdam Blonde Larger, which according to the lady who attended to our table also happens to be their most popular offering.

The Ship also offers both indoor and outdoor seating on the ground level, with some seating available on the first floor as well.
