Food: Excellent. For lunch I ordered the salmon tartare with homemade rusks and a green salad and it was fresh and tasty. I have food restrictions and they were very good and careful about it and I had no issues at all. I also had a mocktail (“Something Sweet”) and it was excellent and refreshing.

Service: The coat-check lady was extremely kind and professional. Our waitress was kind, quick and accommodating. However, I feel the overall service experience wasn’t up to par with the sophistication of the establishment and its price point ($50+ for my whole lunch), e.g, plate calling (“Who has the raviolis? ”) and forgetting items. These were little details but it clashed with the whole vibe.

Location: Amazing location downtown Ottawa. Being from out of town, I had a hard time finding parking. If there is a parking, it isn’t clearly indicated. I ended up parking elsewhere and walking to get there.

Had a delightful evening last night.
The staff was courteous and professional.
We had the trout and mushroom ravioli, heavenly. Will be back for sure to try more.

Loved the seafood tower, the staff was so friendly. Great fried chicken, fantastic fries and top shelf coconut cream pie.

Removing 1 star for the service. Booked over the phone, got told it was so busy and ended up booking 2h after what I would of like. Ended up showing up early, and it wasn’t even that busy?

This is a very nice bar. They make very good cocktails and at a reasonable price. Great atmosphere too.

Dined at the Shore Club this evening. It was the longest dinner service of my life. Our party was larger than planned and the restaurant was able to quickly accommodate us. That was definitely the second fastest thing this evening (the fastest was the check). The menu featured the worlds largest wine collection ever. The way to build your meal was not super clear but the waiter did an alright job explaining it. The choices were very diverse and very expensive. The food was absolutely incredible. We had a bunch of appies to start, and we’re able to place our appie order about 30 mins after we arrived. The bread basket was 4 pieces and was good. We also had the jumbo shrimp, oysters, crab cakes and the highlight was the crispy shrimp…best thing I ate all night. We then ordered our meats and shared a bunch of sides, served family style. We had velvety mashed potatoes, perfectly cooked asparagus, crispy shoestring fries and the best sautéed mushrooms out there. The tenderloin was cooked perfectly and had a topping of truffle butter…. It was a simply delicious meal. The dessert of cheesecake was not what I expected, it wasn’t sweet at all and had a chocolate crust, which I didn’t enjoy at all. The dessert was the biggest disappointment all evening. All and all, i recommend it if you want to impress your guests but be prepared at the cost…overall, I’d be ok eating here again, and I know exactly what I’d order:)

I'm visiting in town and had only casual sweaters and jeans. I felt totally comfortable there even though it was refined and elegant. The service staff was exceptional. I had 1/2 chicken and it was delicious. Absolutely would be happy to return

Service was very good and a nice place to have a meal while staying at the hotel. Food was a bit low as this was called a "cake" but it had no cake so had I known it was more of a fudge bar and no cake, would have ordered smthg different. B52 was nice though.

Food was delicious and the service was great. Overall, great experience for our first time there!

My favourite restaurant in Ottawa! The seafood tower is fantastic! So is the rest of the menu! The service is definately what you would expect in a fancier restaurant.very friendly and very attentive. I usually come here for special occasions but the atmosphere is great for a nice lunch with a friend or just some cocktails at the bar

We celebrated my husband’s bday today and it was superb! The service was just outstanding, food was excellent, everything was performed with perfection. We thank the Shore Club team for the outstanding performance!

Worth the price, your actually paying for the taste of the food, salad was the best Cesar salad, best baked potato best chilled seafood platter and best lamp chops by the way the lamp and chicken here is Halal halal halal.

They also ask before coming in any allergies I said no food cooked by alchole and only halal. They took care of everything.

The Shore Club never disappoints! The elegant atmosphere is only exceeded by the superior service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff provide a high class experience for the busy traveller. Thank you, and I will be back!

An elegant venue with a great atmosphere and world class bar! 4/5 on food, however the bar and hospitality bumps everything up to 5/5

Went to check out "happy hour". The half price oysters were nothing special and the "prawns" were just pre frozen jumbo shrimp.the artisinal bread was delicious and the Marguerita was good. A bit disappointed all in all.

Love the service! I often brought my whole team here and every time we would come out satisfied. Good was amazing everything was always cooked with perfection. Would highly recommend the seafood tower, striploin and the artisanal bread

A Seafood & Steak restaurant that is located by the byward market in Ottawa city attached to the Westin Hotel

I would highly recommend that you make a reservation before going since it get busy later the night.it has a large variety of appetizers, share dishes, main courses and wine list.if your on certain that if you would like the wine that you ordering, you may request to try it out before ordering if it is available. At least my way staff offered me try it and I avoided ordering a wine that I would not like.

The menu seems to be updated quite often since it is not the same as the ones I saw on Open Table reservation system platform

my waitress Mika was very helpful and friendly. She enhanced my experience in the restaurant with her great service which result in a spectacular evening for my first night in the city of Ottawa.

Had a disappointing experience solely due to the food. The service, atmosphere, and drinks were all excellent. Of the 4 people at our table 2 ordered seafood and 2 ordered steaks. The seafood dishes were both not good, one worse than the other such They took one off the bill which was hardly touched and offered to make it again but we declined. The steaks were excellent cuts and well cooked. The side dishes and apps were good too. The lobster mac and cheese is amazing.
The cocktails were a little pricey but excellent. The service was attentive, polite, and made a good recommendation for wine. Due to the food experience we wont be in a hurry to return for a meal.

The seafood platter was to die for. I’m still think about it. It was bountiful and so fresh. Worth every cent. It truly was the cherry to top my Ottawa visit.

The food here is delicious. You absolutely can't go wrong. Whether it's the delectable lobster mac and cheese or the vegetarian mushroom ravioli and roasted broccoli the food is superb. Great atmosphere. Always busy and if you need a take away while you're staying at the Westin, I'd take this over room service anyday.

We had an excellent dinner here. The food was full of flavour and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was great as we had a table in the back corner, creating a very private environment. Even though there was a large group close to us, the noise level was perfect to have a conversation. Their wine list is very extensive, but there is something there for everyone. Highly recommended and would return for sure.

A very expensive meal, with drinks, appetizer, main dish, side dish, you are looking at at least $150/person and walking out without feeling full. Everything on the menu is just standard seafood and steakhouse item. The service is fantastic but I really think this is a restaurant for people who are on a business trip and able to expense their dinners.there are way better options in the market.

Overpriced the food was good but honestly the wine markup made the meal good but not great value for the money.

We all agreed that for the same cost Ottawa has much better options but it was Thanksgiving so they were closed.

Our favorite was the scallops and prawns, the sauce with fingerling potatoes was superb

We went to the Shore club for dinner last weekend and we were disappointed. We visited there in 2015 and had an awesome experience with great food but sadly that was not the case this time. The service was perfect but the food wasn't as good as it was last time. My steak was under seasoned and so were the mashed potatoes. My husband had the fried chicken and he said that KFC was better. The onion rings were huge and did not have any flavor. While the ambiance and service were great, for the price we paid we were greatly disappointed and likely will not return

Very bad experience its not possible to come and the manager talk in very bad way even no welcoming, we have the vaccine code andy wife she already get the covid and she have one dose, the government didn't gave 2 doses for her, this club make rules from his own! I don't know how this business gonna work! The restaurant empty and they refused tje guests! Also i made reservation and the confirmed to me

Each time I come here for happy hour oysters and each time I leave content. The oysters are always fresh, the sliders taste absolutely delicious! And the price just can’t be beat. I’ve been here twice and will likely keep coming back!

This restaurant is a complete vibe and has left the best impressions! Covid precautions allowed you to feel at ease while dinning. Very hospitable host, delicious dishes, beautiful presentations, wide wine list and wonderful dessert. I recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to celebrate a special milestone. I would like to come back here again.

The ambiance and service was good. The food itself was below par, especially for their prices. We all ordered filet mignon and were all disappointed. You have to pay separate prices for accompanying side dishes. The presentation is mediocre at best. Their cocktails were great. I wouldn't go back there for their food unfortunately

Amazing steak. It was cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. I was just impressed. The service was also great. Although pricey, I would definitely come back on a special occasion.

Great atmosphere, Very Expensive. All the food is A La Carte. If you buy a burger, you pay extra for fries or salad etc. Be Prepared to spend $100's of $$$ per person.

I've been there twice in the past few months. The last visit I had the lamb chops Unseasoned, tasteless. The time before, short ribs which had a glaze that overpowered the meat.

This use to be my go-to spot but no more. Overpriced for what you get.

Although the scenery is beautiful and the location is perfect as there's a parking nearby, the service did not live up to the outward beauty of the place.
I went there with a group of friends over the weekend. The waiting period for the server to take our order was 30 minutes. Then we waited one hour for our meals to be served. I was so famished I had to order some bread (which honestly, should have been served complementary as it was absolutely nothing special).
The prices are insulting for the taste AND the portions of the dishes. There's nothing wrong with expensive cuisine but the price should reflect the quality of the meals. In this case, it does not. In addition to that, I caught food poisoning for two days straight. I do not recommend this place, at least not for dinner. I hear lunch meals there are decent.

My experience.average food at above average prices. Nothing really to get excited for or upset about. Service was good, staff friendly. Just kind of blah, unless you get real excited about some garlic mashed potatoes on bone marrow? Give this place a try if you are in the area.

Service, great, Ambiance, great, Sliders, great, accomodation, great. It's what you hope for but not usually expect. Did not disappoint!

Ambience was nice but the place is actually quite dark so make sure that's the vibe you're looking for (if you're coming here for a first date or something). Plenty of staff so it never takes long to get service. Place was much louder than expected so not too suitable for intimate settings. Food and drinks are highly priced but about expected for a hotel attached restaurant/bar. Staff are professional and kind.

Good food, efficient wait staff, and lovely Baked Alaska. The atmosphere was quiet but the lighting was too low to easily read the menu.

So fancy, way fancier than I am used to. I thought for sure at some point the waiter would come by and say, "I'm sorry ma'am, not sure how you got in here but I'm going to have to ask you to leave. " But he didn't. The waiter was very nice. He even brought me readers when my old eyes couldn't read the print on the menu. I ate the seafood tower like I was a hungry harbor seal. Would go back (if they let me in).

Great happy hour with 1$ oysters & 2$ shrimp. Time to change the beer special. It's been Sapporo for months now. Nice place to unwind for a bit.

I came here with my family for grandmother's birthday recently. The food was good, unfortunately they didn't have any lobster tail as they told us the order that came in wasn't good quality. The main reason we chose here was for the lobster.

Not worth it overall, unfortunately, with some lovely food approaches and some tasty options, but leaves you feeling ripped off. Many folks are balking at the prices and for what you get they are absolutely right. From bare plates to secret pricing. Desperately sad plates of single serving proteins and presentation is lacking; and a ludicrous over $7 for water. Lovely dark dining room, passable service (putting items on the wrong bills, not being clear with pricing of drinks like the 9 oz glasses of wine that aren't included in the menu). Tasty food prepared with care.a bit heavy on the salt for some of our dinner mates. Stick with appys and desserts.

What a disaster. A restaurant in a nice hotel in a nations capital within a stone throw of the Hill that demonstrates high - class aspirations must be better. I should have clued in from the start when the hostess just told me to sit "wherever". Then the waiter could not describe the chef's appetizer. Then the steak came before salad. The steak was badly overcooked - but the waitress did not have a chance to ask for it during the 20 minutes of me waiting for wine or then chewing through overcooked cold meat. When she finally showed up I could not believe her question: "Do you still want your wine? ". Needless to say - the wine did not come in at all. But the most amazing was that there was not a singly "I am Sorry. " Not even an attempt to remediate situation.
I just assume that the place survives on clueless first time tourists who stay at WESTIN.

Just because The Shore Club resides within a Westin Hotel, don't be deceived into thinking that it might offer just "hotel food". It's operated separately and excellently by Fred & staff who are highly attentive and knowledgable in food and wine selections, with quality ingredients and preparation to match. A very pleasant surprise during my stay at the hotel!

Great atmosphere. Music in the bar area wonderful. Sliders on the small plates menu on the dry side. Bartenders on the "ball. " Fabulous place to meet people.

This was my first time eating here and I must say that I loved it except for one thing which was entirely my own fault. I went to a steak and seafood restaurant and ate fried chicken. The meal was good but honestly not for the price and j should have eaten what they specialize in. Our server Geoffrey was top notch, every other item we ate was good (calamari) to excellent (duck breast & cioppono). If you're seeking a romantic evening out, with some great food, this is your place. Just remember its high end so that means high end prices $$$$$! Well worth it though for the experience.
