Absolutely love this place. Brisket sandwiches, wings, wraps and fries are amazing. Lady at the counter is very helpful and friendly. Recommend to others!

I was fortunate enough to spend some time at the MapleLeaf Motel which is where The Smokin Caboose BarBQ Restaurant is located. As you can see by the photos this is some outstanding wood fire smoked BarBQ. The huge fire wood stove is just outside the restaurant. You can smell BarBQ right into St Thomas as the Smokin Caboose is located just outside St Thomas on 43743 Talbot Rd, St Thomas Ontario, N5P3S7. The menu is quite outstanding and pulled pork and chicken is a specialty. The prices are comparable to any other BarBQ place however, your not going to get that out door flame kissed wood smoked taste only the Smokin Caboose can provide. They don't do ribfests but they do catering and it's something your guests will never forget. I see the parking lot fill up and empty. 20 minutes later is full again. Peeps come from all over St Thomas and surrounding regions just to get a taste of that Smokin Caboose. I've even seen the staff run the orders out to the cars. There are picnic tables with umbrellas so you can enjoy that great Smokin Caboose BarBQ flavor in the fresh outdoors. Very clean.very professional. You can't go wrong with these tasty treats. Everyone reading this MUST go to the Smokehouse! The food there is the best smoked bbq food around! The guys running the place are AMAZING! Super friendly, happy polite group of people. Clean atmosphere the beans, and brisket bites my favourite, but I've had the pulled pork sandwich and its the bomb! Prices for the quality and quantity of food are spot on! I'd pay more tbh!

As much as I wanted to really like this place it really wasn’t a great experience for me and my fiancé. First off looks alone it’s in a sketchy motel, obviously not a huge deal if the food was good but the food was not very good, we ordered a pound of brisket which it wasn’t very tender or flavourful at all, we ordered the large Mac and cheese and Ohhhh boy let me tell you, when I say this is hands down one of the worst things I’ve ever had im not overeating here…. I think they were going for a Smokey cheese sauce flavour but it tasted like gas, also had a weird gritty taste, inedible, I will say the fries were good and coleslaw tasted like coleslaw.

The Brisket sandwich is amazing! My wife love the Angry Bear sandwich on the Gluten-free bun. Also love the fact that they will bring it out to your car while you wait at the St Thomas location.

Honestly the best! Don't second guess yourself to come here, food is amazing, the staff and owner are super nice you won't be disappointed.

Favorite place to eat in town.
My husband loves the Saint T Philly, I love the Chicken on a Bun. The brioche bun is soft and the meats are smoked to perfection. Fresh coleslaw on the side is tasty. We often share a poutine and it's always loaded with cheese curds and gravy. The supreme poutine is a meal for two.

We are never disappointed.
If you are debating on getting the Mac & Cheese it is surprisingly super smokey and more of an acquired taste.
I wish they were open longer and everyday of the week. However, their Port Stanley location is open 10am - 6pm everyday.
Service is great, the staff are lovely. They also allow you to round up your order for charity.
It feels great supporting local.

Service was amazing, staff is friendly and they bring the food right to wherever you decide to wait. The attached motel is pretty sketchy but the store itself isn’t as bad. I had the brisket on a bun and it was good, not great. Everything about it was good from the bun to the sauce to the cheese, everything except for the actual brisket itself which tasted like it had been recently thawed after being frozen for a little too long.

Our experience was great! Absolutely delicious and hot! We ate out on the picnic table! We were treated wonderfully and the order didn't take long to get.

1st time eating at the Smokin Caboose. We had the pulled pork sandwich. Amazing to say the least! It was delicious & we will definitely return again. Great job!
