One of the best places I ever been to! From food to the service to desert, I loved everything!

Went on a rather quiet night, but the atmosphere was still great! The restaurant was comfortable and the food was great.

Went to The Social last night for the first time. The atmosphere was great! Very warm and inviting.

Encounters with staff for the most part were great.

Food was phenomenal! Everything was rich with flavour and portions were good for the price you pay (with exception of the soup).

The only concern our group had was our appetizers (French onion soup & bruschetta) came out at the same time as our main meal. Even though we did not ask for this. There was no room on our table and we were left to figure out if we eat the appetizers or our main meal first. Which meal were we going to eat cold…. On top of it the French onion soup bowl wasn’t even half filled. Certainly was not worth $12 (even though it did taste good for the little we got).

We did as to speak with the manager, Henry.
Let me say Henry was amazing! He immediately acknowledged our concerns and he wanted to make sure to rectify the situation! Henry went above and beyond to ensure we come back! This was customer service like none other! Our server also came and apologized to us for the appetizer mishap!

For our mains we had lasagna, hunters chicken, jerk chicken pasta, and basil pesto chicken pasta. All I can say is wow! Food was so tasty!

I will definitely come back and would recommend this place to others!

Hosted an event in the private dining room and the service was 10/10. My guests and I had a wonderful time at The Social. Food was delicious and we will definitely be back!

It’s nice to have a restaurant similar to those you find in Toronto here in Pickering. No more venturing all the way downtown for delicious food, great drinks, and chic atmosphere.

Really enjoyed the Tokyo Drift wings. I’ll definitely be back to try the other flavours

Phenomenal experience. Top notch food, atmosphere, and wait staff. The pricing for food and liquor is very reasonable. Have been here a couple times, and every time is an amazing experience all around. Would highly recommend!

Visited first time today. It would have been a 5 star experience but due to very poor service it came down to 2 star. Food no doubt was very good, but service was equally poor. We waited for 45 minutes before someone attended us. Then there was another 30 minutes wait for food and that too was not complete order. My kid had to wait another 20 minutes to get food. This is not at all acceptable standards of service. Then another 15 minutes wait to get the bill. I think they should hire more staff and train them well.

The absolute worst place in Durham. 30 min wait for a table, 25 mins more to be given water. I was given something that looks like a steak but tasted like rubber. Sent it back twice and it still tasted terrible. At the end the waitress said she’ll take it off the bill but didn’t. If you’re forced into a blind date and don’t want a second date with a person, take them here. If you want a good date, go somewhere else.

My wife and I visited this new location as we had a great experience in BC with this Franchise. Unfortunately we never had a chance to experience the food and atmosphere as once we got seated our Waitress or Waiter never came to service us for 20mins. No one asked us any questions, no one asked if we have been helped, no water, nothing, all though numerous times the waitress in our section and other servers walked passed our table and it was not busy.
People came after us and had more service and attention.

When we spoke to the Bar tender we asked if there was a manager we could talk to as no one came to our table and there was no Manager or Supervisor which we found shocking. The bar tender was nice and tried to accommodate however by this time it left a bad experience that we did not want to continue. My advice to management is please make sure your staff is trained as service is everything. We are willing to pay higher prices which is why we are out at a restaurant but lack of service like this is unacceptable.

I've been there three times now. Most of the food is mid (wings, ribs, truffle fries etc.) The pastas are above average. Atmosphere and service was very good. Drinks were good too.

We moved to the area 2 years ago and were eager to try out The Social. It did not disappoint! Exceed expectations. Everything our group had was amazing.

I had read good reviews of this place and decided to celebrate Father’s Day and Our Anniversary. The worst experience after driving 30 mins and having a reservation made well in advance. We arrived 10 mins ahead of our reservation time and are told that it would be a 30 min wait to get a table inside. So we agreed to sit on the patio and do drinks until the table inside gets free. No one came to take our drinks order. After 15 mins we get moved inside, wait another 15 mins, and no one comes to take our order. All in all our wait was over 30 mins with no server. I wasn’t too pleased with the menu options. Nothing was clearly stated on the website that the brunch menu runs until 2.30pm which we weren’t too impressed about as we weren’t interested in eating a breakfast menu. Horrible service. We just walked out of the place. I gave a 1-star coz I have to rate but it doesn’t deserve a 1-star.

I came here with a group of seven ladies for a birthday celebration. Definitely get the nachos! We also enjoyed the Tokyo drift wings, the calamari and the mushroom flatbread.
Our server Peter was amazing and super attentive the entire time. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Date night with hubby

The service was great. Our server was super attentive and pleasant but not over bearing. The food was made just the way we asked. Two down side were there was no bartender when we were there so I couldnt get my favorite virgin dacquri drink. And two, our appitizer was served with our main so I had to take it to go because it was so much at once.

Definitely 5 STARS! Monday night I dined here the food was amazing not too mention my server Lexie who was patient and kind as I am picky when it comes to what to order. The Calamari was delicious

This place is extremely unprofessional. I called 3 times to make a reservation for a bday party of 12, no one answered the phone. My friend also tried calling and again no answer. I then sent a message on social media (instagram) Someone msg back stating to make a reservation on open table. I explained i am unable to book on open table due to the amount of ppl.
They said they'll have to check and get back to me that evening. We'll noone got back to me. I messaged again, they then said they have a large party that's booked and will get back to me again.
I then asked if they could accommodate 9 ppl vs. 12 as 3 persons weren't for sure. Noone msg back, they seen my message and never have the decency to say anything. I msg stating they are very unprofessional. Not even an apology.
If a restaurant doesn't want business of 12 ppl, just say so. But based on the other negative reviews, it seems they don't value their customers and they are only for the social media hype "a good place to take pics"
I will never support a business who can't even msg back about a reservation. What a joke!

First time at The Social, amazing service, excellent food. We tried the devils ranch wings, fried Brussels sprouts, poutine… ohh the old fashion all spot on. I would recommend this place.

Went for brunch and the vibe and food were both great! 5 star service as well - will definitely be coming back here again soon! Highly recommend!

Amazing calamari and bruchetta. The waitress was nice but the person in the front looked clueless and was slow walking back and forth even tho I had a reservation I had to stand there and wait to be seated.

The Social was a decent spot.

Dined here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Sat on the patio instead of inside.

We ordered the halloumi burger (don’t be fooled i thought this was a beef burger with halloumi cheese) should have read the menu more throughly. Also ordered the Cobb salad.

They were out of a lot of items, their house beer, Diet Coke, few other items.

Would return to try other items.

Below average food, below average service, menus were so dirty couldn't touch them. Overpriced. Really disappointed as this place had potential.

The atmosphere, food and most of the drinks were great. The bartenders knew their mixology and it showed in the drinks. Great place to hangout, chill or go out on a date.

We had the bruschetta which was good, and the southern fried chicken sandwich which was also delicious. Only downside is that it is a bit pricey. I can foresee them doing well by implementing daily drink and food specials.

Just picked up a burger. Excellent service and great food! They allow dogs on the patio! What a bonus! I will definitely be back! Thank you.

Had a great dinner with the family there tonight. Staff were really pleasant and helpful with the menu. Our server was always attentive and friendly. Food tasted great with lots of options for everyone. Plenty of TV’s for watching the game too!

The worse customer service experience I have ever dealt with. No one has addressed my concerns despite many attempts. Served me cold food and burned food at the end of the night. Barely rectified the situation and when I contacted the restaurant to discuss with management no response even though they said they would call. Shows how much they value their customers

From the moment I walked in the door at social bar and lounge, I was impressed with the warm and inviting atmosphere. The bartenders and servers went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

A special mention must go to Jayden and MJ who offered exceptional service throughout my visit. Their attentiveness and friendly demeanour made me feel right at home. Furthermore, Ramesh, one of the owners, demonstrated remarkable hospitality, a testament to the establishment’s customer-centric approach.

As for the food, it was nothing short of fantastic. Every dish was flavorful and satisfying, a clear indication of their commitment to quality. Drink prices were in line with industry standards, which was appreciated.

In all, my experience at social bar and lounge was memorable. The combination of wonderful staff, delicious food, and fair prices make it a must-visit. I look forward to my next visit.

Food was amazing here. I ordered a sirloin steak rare and they nailed it. The herb crusted salmon was perfectly cooked too, it wasn't overdone. Cocktail and the ube cheesecake was delicious.

The restaurant is pretty open so noises echos a lot. There was a game or party going on the night I went so maybe that's why it was a bit loud. I had to raise my voice to talk to my husband. The seating was comfortable.

The food was great! The service was wonderful. The food came really fast after it was ordered. The burger was a bit salty. The jerkchicken pasta was really good. The mango mocktail was really good the mango was really ripped it was really good. We got a complementary dessert for our anniversary that was really nice. The ice cream was really good. 8.5/10
