Wow! Our minds are blown by the results we have experienced having just completed Level 1 training with Kaylee at Social Pup.
Having been through two previous training sessions elsewhere, I was skeptical this training course would be able to help us manage our sassy little Gracie. Boy was I wrong! Kaylee is an incredible trainer and her passion for training, not to mention the tremendous support she offered us throughout the session definitely eased my anxiety. The course curriculum, practice exercises and homework have all been very well structured to allow you to build on progress made from week to week. I would highly recommend training though Social Pup and we will definitely be back for more training! Thank you Kaylee - xo Kim, Mackenna and Gracie.

It never sat well with me that they wanted me to take my pup to the vets to get meds to calm her down to do a groom with rob but happy to say since that experience she has been going to a new groomer who’s never requested anything like this. It really caught me off guard and I’ve never let it go it was a really bad experience. Also keep in mind she went twice here before this request was asked of me which I have email proof of. So on the third time was rob having a bad day? I’ll never know but happy I decided not to go back.

This is a grooming review: Not happy about the attitude or grooming of Rob. His attitude is that of a celebrity level groomer but the output is very average. The timings are quite limited and the expectations from the dog is very high (staying steady etc). Overall quite disturbing and disappointing. I would not recommend taking a small dog to Rob.

In response to your reply -
First of all, we had communicated this exact feed to your staff over phone yesterday and she did not express any concern. Her response "Okay, thank you. " Hence, we did raise this topic atleast once.
Secondly, your groomers' care for pups' should be also questioned, since you raise the topic. One of my pups' (it is polite to NOT name pups' in public) had got multiple cuts on the nose during his first groom. Hence we had to go to the vet and take medications.
Thirdly, Robs' attitude - "If you touch Gucci's facial hair, I will cut you off". I am pretty sure, a pup parent would be quite shocked with such statements.
Fourthy, my pup (not naming) surely got the best groom on the first instance. However, for the 2nd time, it was mere average. As a customer, I have every right to express my feedback about the quality of your service.
Lastly, Newmarket and Aurora has 20+ pet groomers happy to take care of my pups' without giving any attitude or cutting skin. I am sure as a needy parent, I will be able to find someone with better care and professionalism.

The Social Pup was an amazing place to start puppy training for our new fur baby! Kaylee and the team are fantastic, caring and truly help owners best support their puppy. Kaylee provided each family with individual support to help teach new techniques, followed up with written homework for referral and recapped learning every week! Thank you Kaylee! Our fur pup is now looking forward to day care at The Social Pup and their grooming services!

Exceptional! Beyond Expectations!
When you leave a loved one behind because you don't want them to be in the luggage compartment of an airplane.you hope to leave them in the best care possible, and that's exactly what the Social Pup Dog Daycare, Boarding and Grooming provided for us.

Our dog had his own room, he was well groomed, fed well, and he even came back trained better than when we left him. We watched him while we were away because video services are provided by the Social Pup.

Leanne and the entire team did an amazing job for us.

We'll do it again and again and never think twice about it.

I was so nervous going into our 1st grooming appointment at The Social Pub. I had called with questions so they were probably sensing my anxiety. But as we got there, the owner Leanne, came out to greet us.
Then she brought Rob out, their small breed dog specialist, to have a brief intake conversation, giving him a summary of what we had talked about. () Rob was so attentive and while listening to my input was able to recommend so many better ideas because of his many years of experience. I left my dog Diego feeling so comfortable. My dog was still a bit shaky when I left. By the time I was back for pick up he was so happy, relax, kissing both of them. It was the first cut by Rob and my Biewer Terrier looked so cute. Rob explained in detail his thoughts behind the haircut and the plans ahead. He gave me homework, tips on brushing and follow up appointment.

I cannot say enough good things about The Social Pup in Aurora…we have been bringing our 4 legged baby here for about 2 years and he absolutely loves it! As we are pulling into the parking lot he is already trying to jump out! The team at the social pup is so caring and always on the ball! I don’t know what we would do without them ️ Thanks guys, you are the best!

My dog and I have been using her daycare services since 2019 and can vouch for being an excellent dog daycare provider all along.

Starting daycare as an senior dog was a big change for Smoggie. Leanne and her team did their best to manage this transition and gave me pointers on how to work on her anxiety when at home. Smoggie loves her time at daycare!

They strive to provide education and the best customer service to pet parents. They have always been caring, accommodating and welcoming to us!

I'll do my best to give a fair and reasonable review. I'm not working for a competitor.and also not an angry customer, just sharing my experience and disappointment in the last 6-8months that I think most people should hear and read before deciding to bring their to daycare / boarding at Social Pup.

From the onset of when we first brought our puppy (Large breed Golden Retriever) to Social Pup - we were extremely happy and excited to finally find our forever boarding/daycare/grooming home for our pup. They were excited and did welcome him with open arms when he was 3 mo! He was a small golden pup! Got along quite well with all the employees and dogs there as well.

Unfortunately, as our dog matured, he's been starting to get a little excited when he gets the opportunity to play and socialize with other dogs but absolutely no signs of aggression (just a friendly golden that wanted to play). I totally understand that he has to be in timeouts from being overly excited (and anxious) and sometimes not as well mannered as the other dogs - but I always thought social pup employees would put a bit of effort in comforting our dog and slowly allow him to participate and engage with the other pups. All we really wanted was patience, and really helping and supporting his anxiety through his excitement and helping him enjoy the experience. We saw none of it. I understand he will be in timeouts, but I think giving opportunities, and really taking some step by step actions to help him socialize (given owners are not allowed in that area), would have been much appreciated.

What drew us over the edge in disappointment really came from the employees reaction when they saw our dog come through the front door. As opposed to welcoming him, we heard some of the employees say "oh… look who it is…. Great…" (in an obvious sarcastic voice, that was not meant for us to hear). This crushed us, and didn’t feel as inclusive, as we had originally thought. This is what drove us to write this review.

We've been loyal customers, one that has been there at the beginning of the pandemic, and trusted the facilities since our dog was 3mo (he's now 1.5 years) … But really disappointed as we really wanted to love this place…we even bought 20 passes from them, but didn't end up using it (They did refund us the balance) …

Best of luck to this facility, as I do wish them well. Just disappointed with how things ended up.

We have a Labrador Retriever who has been coming to The Social Pup Daycare since we got him and we are consistently grateful for the love and attention he receives every visit. They have helped him with his socialization, walking manners and overall behaviour. They have created a safe space for dogs of all sizes to interact and enjoy themselves which gives us peace of mind when we have to leave him for a few hours. Rocky is a VERY energetic dog who requires a lot of exercise and attention and he always gets that from them, so much so that when he comes home he is so tired he sleeps on his bed for the night which gives us all a quiet evening) We have used their boarding and grooming services as well, and have been just as happy with both. Try them out - you won't be disappointed!

My puppy loves this place and always excited to go there. Amazing caring people, clean place and absolutely beautiful decor. I always feel calm when leaving my dog for a day care or boarding. Thank you guys for you hard work and big hearts!

My pup and I attended Obedience Training Level 1. We both learned so much and our trainer Kaylee White was amazing. Kaylee also fit my dog with a proper harness and our walks instantly improved! No more pulling! We can't wait to sign up for Level 2 Obedience. The entire staff is lovely and very knowledgeable, and the little boutique at the front of the store is irresistible. I highly recommend The Social Pup.

Do not bring your dog here. My vet trimmed my dogs nails earlier this week. I then brought him here to get groomed. Logically you would assume that the people working at this facility would know not to further trim ALREADY short nails. I go to pick up my dog and was told that they would no longer be able to provide the nail trimming service because my dog “ isent good with nails” Mind you I have brought him here twice before and have never been told this before. I know my dog and he is good with nail trimming. When I get home I notice that there is a brown spot on a nail of his which is now very very short. I took a cotton swab to it and dry blood came off of it. Obviously upset I called and asked to speak to the manager. The manager was apologetic but admitted that they did make him bleed but because “ it was under control we dident mention it”. So my question here is 1. Why wasent I told and 2. How can you say my dog isent good with nail trimming when you visibly hurt him. NO dog would be “good”with it after he has been hurt. The manager at no point offered a reimbursement of any sort…I had to ask for it! She did end up reimbursing the nail trim but honestly given the fact that I was lied to and my dog was injured I would have appreciated a full refund. In conclusion I do not believe this place understands how much we love our dogs. I will not be going back.

I have a 2 year old gsd. I reserved 8 nights at the Social Pup for the end of august a month ahead. We were told he will need to come in for a meet and greet and they will let us know if they can board him. We did and we were told he can be boarded and everything was confirmed. I decided to take my dog back in for daycare just so he can get used to the place. When we went to pick him up after daycare we were told he is doing fine but not sure how he’ll be with their 2 dominate dogs. No other complaints. 2 days later (week before our boarding date) they called us and told us they can no longer accommodate him as they feel the place is too small for him as he is a bigger dog and how he felt uncomfortable with other dogs sniffing him and he barked at them. His size was known when they met him at the meet and greet but it was not a concern that was brought up. Which I understand but this was not the case at the meet and greet which was 3 hours long. I’ve tried many other boarding places and they are booked so we have decided to cancel our trip. The employees are very kind and the place is very clean. The two days I took my dog for daycare I was happy with and they do give you access to their cameras as well which is a plus. I can’t really comment on their boarding and other services as I have no experience. But it’s unprofessional of them to let us know only a week before knowing it’s hard to find another place in a short amount of time.

Amazing and friendly service. They made booking an appointment very easy and filling out dog application a breeze. We had our dog groomed and they had her done within a hour. Superb job!

I dropped off my puppy for a meet and greet and was happy with the results. A very clean and organized place. I will definitely drop off my dog on a regular basis.

My wife and I have been bringing Heidi the husky for over a year now. She's been going since she was around 3 mo. Heidi always have a great time there playing with her bffs (doggy and humans) several times a week. The entire team there are great, very patient with her despite her naughtiness. They set up this pool area outside during the hot summer days and Heidi loved it. She gets her fur-did there too (grooming). Always looks great and smells extra nice coming home. We haven't tried the overnight service yet, hopefully soon. Thanks to the whole team there for taking care of our Heidi.

The quality of service is good. But they have a issue with their billing practice, and don’t seem to really understand how to deal with customer concerns, when then issue is raised with them.

The pros:
- the service is good
- the young staff seem to really care for the dogs

The cons:
- on a few occasions they keep trying to bill us for a full day, when we have been using their services for only a half day.
- the issue was raised, and they said it was maybe because of new staff. Our response was it was not only new staff that tried to Over bill us.
- no response since Monday

All they need to do is respond in a positive fashion. Maybe like this, “thank you for bringing this to our attention, and will look into it and make sure it doesn’t happen again, we value your business and want to ensure your not taken advantage of. ”

Happy to discuss, but they have not responded since Monday.

Would NOT reccomend, 8 month old Maltese banned because she had anxiety and barked sometimes. Owner needs customer service skills. Go to dogsatplay.ca for people that love animals.

Stella has been going to The Social Pup since she was a puppy! She can’t wait to get into the front doors and whines until Leanne or another Social Pup staff member let’s her in! Her four legged buddies greet her with enthusiasm at the gate and they eagerly go off to play in the daycare room or run down the hall chasing one another and barking in excitement! Such is not the case when I pick her up! She’s pooped and ready for an evening of relaxation! Not only did she have an opportunity to socialize with her dog pals but she also got to go out for a walk with one of the staff at lunch. What’s nice is that’s included in the price of the daycare visit and not an extra charge as some doggy daycare centers charge! The Social Pup is definitely worth visiting! You can tell Leanne and her Social Pup staff love what they do and love our puppies like their own! Stella gives her 2nd home a big!

The Social pup provides awesome services. Everything you could need all under one roof. The owner and staff always have your dogs well being in mind. They are transparent, hard working, dedicated and kind people who make me feel comforted leaving my dog in their care for grooming and daycare services. Not to mention the cutest storefront and awesome local products. Thanks Leanne and the Social Pup crew for making this Marvel’s favourite place to be!

I have been bringing my 12 month old chocolate lab Sven to the Social Pup for a little over 2 months now and he absolutely loves it! After rescuing him, he needed to be socialized with other dogs and this is the best way to do it! Leanne and the Social Pup Staff are amazing with him and the other dogs interacting with al of them. Sven goes to daycare 3X a week and runs to the door to go play! The facility is very clean and the staff clean up the urine and stools immediately and wipes the area down right after with disinfectant! Watching Sven on the camera is also a plus!
Thank you for taking good care of my Sven while I work!

My husky Heidi goes to daycare 3X a week at social pup. She loves it. The staff is super friendly and really love animals. I trust them completely and know my girl is in good hands.

I dropped our puppy Lego off for an overnight boarding stay. Before being able to drop him off for that stay they required a meet and greet which I really appreciate. I love the fact Lego could get use to the Social Pup and they could meet with him. After meeting the staff and visiting I felt completely confident that Lego would be well taken care of. I received updates and was able to log in to the webcam to check in on Lego. This is our first dog in over 20 years so he is our baby and I wanted to know he would be treated the same way he would be treated at home. I can't say enough good things about this place, I have already booked another boarding session with them and look forward to booking day care days and training as well. This place is absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to anyone! Keep up the great work:)

Being a new dog owner, I get nervous leaving my pup with other people. Every time I drop Coco off at The Social Pup, I can leave with peace of mind knowing that she's in good hands. Thank you to the entire staff for your hard work and dedication!

Leanne and the Social Pup team are the best. We love how easy it is to drop off our dog, that we can check in via webcam, and that we get an update every time he's there. And Jalissa, one of the groomers, is wonderful! (I'm sure the others are too.but we have a large breed, so Jalissa is our groomer.) She takes the time to explain how to best care for his breed-specific cut, and gives us pointers on how to help him get used to being handled. And, the goodies that are stocked in-store? I have to leave my wallet in the car! The selection is too good. Highly recommend.

We took obedience class 1st level with Jalissa these past few months and it was tremendous success for our puppy Charlie. Jalissa was professional and responsive. She tailored the classes according to our needs. We enjoyed the experience with the Social Pup as we did before with grooming also. Recommended.

Had training course with Jalissa, she is awesome, and super patience, she tries her best to answer my question.she will send out an recap email with every detail about the class. Both Kuma (the puppy) and I learned a lot, would highly recommend to take her course:)

Jalissa did an amazing job with me and my dog over the course of 9 weeks. She customized a program that catered specially to my dog's needs of improvement. She was very knowledgeable, and prompt - always on time and willing to answer any questions that I may have had. She was always responsive through email as well if a question were to arise after one of our sessions. I am sad our sessions ended as we learnt so much from Jalissa and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for some tips!

I started bringing my puppy to the Social Pup when he was about 5 months old. They were great about introducing him to the other dogs, and ensuring that he was managing well as a young dog. Its clean, and bright, and everyone is so friendly. And they have great on-site grooming too that gets my scruffy sheepadoodle looking amazing again.:)
