After being a loyal client for two years, my favourite nail tech retired. The shellac manicures I received since have consistently lasted less than two weeks (previously, they lasted 2.5- 3 weeks) and I returned witting 5 days for a nail fix.

At my last appointment, I was told by management that my nails were the problem and they would no longer honour their 5-day complimentary fix policy for me.

The first place I tried (Polish’d) after cancelling my membership provided a shellac manicure that has lasted two weeks without lifting or chipping easily and is still going strong.

Go somewhere else where your business and loyalty will be appreciated! I look forward to my continued services at Polish’d in future.

Strange vibe when we walked in. Also didn’t schedule us efficiently. My nails started chipping within two days. Anywhere else I go, they stay forever.

I called an hour in advance to book a much-needed manicure ahead of a concert I'd be attending the same evening. Phone manner was excellent (I forgot their name but I remember the platform Crocs).

When I came in, Anna did a fantastic job of cleaning my cuticles and helping me choose a good colour combo to go with the outfit I had planned. She was lovely to talk to as well-earnest and relatable. I noticed that she enjoyed giving advice. One element I suggest improving is the hand massage (should be more firm with a bit of joint stretch).

The facilities were clean and pleasant without feeling too sterile (neutral colours, silent TV in the background, nice shelf display of products, comfortable bathrooms).

5 days later and my nails still look good (several coats, OPI colour). Thank you for the great service!

Ok, so let me say my issue is not with this location specifically, but with their booking system AND regular polish (if you know, you know). The atmosphere was very welcoming, but I did feel out of place after I was checked in. However, I will chalk that up to them having a trainee on the floor at the time. I came in to do threading and get a manicure. Both service providers were dope and provided excellent service. My eyebrows look amazing and my nails were done really well as well EXCEPT THAT REGULAR POLISH IS A SCAM! My mani ending up smudging within 30 minutes of leaving the salon.kinda wished I had gotten gel, but alas that was MY CHOICE and is no fault of the salon. I think I'll use them for my threading (which I forgot was so painful ouch) and I'll try the gel manicure next time as opposed to the regular polish. Overall, a good experience and I will be back again. Oh, almost forgot. The booking system is absolutely trash. I had to go through the forgotten password sequence three times over the span of two days before it worked. It seems like there are two systems, one for the franchise and then one for the individual spa (franchisee), which can be frustrating to use. I eventually was able to book my session the morning of my appointment but that frustration docked a star off.

Three of us went for manicures and pedicures for Mothers Day. Had a lovely time and received great service.

The Ten Spot is always spot on, and this location is no exception. Have been a couple of times now and everyone is fabulous! So nice to be able to book and not even to have to worry about who the service is with because I've never been disappointed.

For my first experience at The Ten Spot, I booked a Mani Pedi only to be told (after I arrived) that the technicians did not know how to do a French manicure and that needs to have been booked in advance. On what planet does a nail technician not know how to do French and if we needed to book this in advance, the person taking the booking should tell you that. Then we got our nails done which appeared to be well done and not a day later the shellac began chipping and peeling off. All for a nice price of $125. Never again!

My esthie was fantastic and the other associates were also very accommodating and delightful! I'm always traveling from one city to another and the convenience of having a ten spot branch in every city i visit is super helpful.

Kala is the best! I’ve gone to her for threading for two years now and I can’t recommend her enough

I so enjoyed my pedicure! Apsara was so very kind in making me feel relaxed and just chilling. She was so amazing with dealing my my feet that have been in the sand all summer. Apsara had her work cut out when she had to clean off all the summer fun and the message she gave just made the pedicure so relaxing and my toes looked fresh and young.

Always such an amazing experience here, I’ve gotten their pedicures, manicures, eyebrow wax and now today a lash lift+tint and I’ve only had good experiences! The estheticians really make you feel comfy and are very knowledgeable. I can’t wait to try their facial services soon! With so many options in TO, it’s nice to have a go-to spot <3

It wasn’t good at all. They had a very bad behavior and they waste my time. I wasn’t satisfied at all and I’m never going to go there again.

My partner and I went in as a treat - it was nice to do something out & about where we could be indoors & stay masked that felt like a special occasion! The staff were lovely, and we both loved our pedis.

Unlike some salons, I've been to, The Ten Spot was very clean and organized. I felt safe and re-aasured with their measures to adddress our current situation.
I loved I could actually sit back and soak my feet and not feel rushed.
The cost is on the pricey side, however it was worth it!

Well maintained location. Only 2 customers when I visited. I felt super safe. They did a great job on my mani/pedi. They’re very responsive and quick to accommodate the best they can (I booked last minute). They’re worth my comute from the east end.

Everything was very clean and the appointment was done very promptly (I had only called in a half hour before to make the appointment). The person at the front desk seemed quite rushed and curt, but I perhaps thought that it was because they were really busy at the shop and was trying to fit me in. When I arrived, there was no one in the shop other than myself and two people at the front desk, so I was a little disappointed with my interaction on the phone.

I do not normally get a manicure done, but I had heard very good things about Ten Spot and wanted to see what it was like. The person who did my nails was really love and took a lot of care doing them. I was satisfied with the end result of the gel mani, even though I could see places around the edges of my nail where the varnish was spread thin. I was mostly excited to see how the nail varnish would last over the three weeks before my next mani appointment.

Only after five days, the nail varnish started peeling from the corners of my nails. It did not chip or crack, but just simply started peeling off. I was very disappointed to see this because the nail aesthetician had said that gel nail varnish was very durable and strongly attaches itself onto the nail. They explained that that is why the nail varnish needs to be removed professionally and for a higher cost at the next appointment, on top of an already pricey manicure.

When I called in to cancel my next nail appointment, the front desk person had the same demeanour as when I had first called in to book the initial appointment. There seemed to be a barrier with my accent, but eventually said that I did not have an appointment booked on the given date, even though I had booked one at the end of my last appointment. This was not a deal breaker by any means, but I just would've appreciated a little more compassion. Never did they ask if I wanted to book another appointment. Or asked why I was cancelling it in the first place. Or said a sorry for not having the second appointment booked.

Staff were very friendly. Overall service was quick, safe (masks worn, etc), and as painless as possible.

Best spot in town! I've been coming to this location (seeing Glaze) for the last 8 years and I'll never switch. Facility is always spotless, staff is very well trained (I've had waxing, threading, lazer, brow and lash tinting done) and I'm always 10/10 happy with my services. Additionally, their COVID precautions and protocols and very well done. I'm so happy to have a clean and safe environment to get my services completed in. Plus, watching Friends on the TV while the services happening is an added bonus!

Had a brow lamination and tint with Ashley and couldnt be happier. My eyebrows are so defined yet natural, loving waking up ready to go. Service was extremely professional and she really listened to what I wanted. 100% recommend:)

Slowest pedicure in town, took forever and Didn’t really clean under the nails and it’s so expensive my jaw dropped I’ve never payed that much for a pedicure, first and last time please don’t waste your time.

Covid=19 update: EXCELLENT hygiene and service during pandemic. Felt very safe for face waxing and up-close treatments.

Ten Spot Queen West is the best location for high quality service, accuracy and attention to detail. Glaze and Jamie are well worth requesting. Lisa (general manager) is a gem. I've been a long time customer (since inception) for good reason! Quickie pedi and quickie mani and eyebrow wax are great value and very, very clean.

I was overall pleased with my experience, and impressed with the clean and tidy atmosphere. Some staff were friendly but some were cold and impersonal, and it was disappointing to here staff complaining about customers openly. The manicure was overall more expensive than I'm used to paying, but it felt justified as the manicurist was noticeably precise and the facility seemed extremely well maintained. I'm disappointed though that only a few days into my new shellac manicure, I'm seeing multiple chips and flaws in the finish, something I have rarely experienced with lower cost services with more friendly environments.

Marijana at The Ten Spot Queen West is quite possibly the best in the game, when it comes to waxing services. I wouldn't trust anyone else!

I've been a regular at the ten spot for some time now, but just had to make sure everyone who wants to try it out knows how splendid it is. I've been to 4 different locations in Toronto, and each were spotless (before covid!). Everyone working at the ten spot is professional, yet down to earth. It may be more expensive than your basic nail salon- but you're getting a clean, PROPERLY sterilized, and perfect service. Best nail salon in Toronto by far!

Pedicures are great and they serve you wine while it's being done which is amazing! Waxing services are also great!

I've been going to see Marijana at this location for over 10 years. She's not only accurate, clean and fast when she waxes, but she's also very kind and professional. Highly recommend seeing her, or Glaze.

Best full face threading and detox facial EVER! My Aesthetician took extra care and did the most thorough extractions I have ever had.

Fast efficient service. I messed up one of my nails as I was leaving. It was completely my fault and she was lovely about fixing it. I go to Ten Spot because the service is perfect.

I have been going to the Ten Spot on Queen Street W since the day it opened (literally) and Ashley P.has been doing my nails for just as long. And this is by design. When I book a note comes up saying I only have manis with her (pedis are with Glaze). Ashley is the best- from shaping my nails exactly how I like them (short and round, unless I want tiny points), to colour selections (always more than one), to making sure my favourite movie is playing on my birthday. I wish I could give her six stars.

I had a gel manicure with Kala at the Queen St West location. My nails were in bad shape but she did a great job. Overall, this is a clean place with professional and nice staff.

Did the virgin Brazilly here and it went way better than I expected. Glaze made me feel very at ease, and had Friends playing for a fun distraction.

These ladies were so very accommodatacc if my needs to put my eye drops in ky eyes every hour. They are very kind and caring. I would love to see these ladies in thunder bay when you guys open up a tens spot! Wink wknk.

Just had my first laser treatment. A wonderful experience thanks to the amazing staff at The Ten Spot queen west.

The worst and most expensive pedicure I have ever had in my life. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Went there for the first time since my usual place was fully booked. My eyebrows were done in 10 minutes and just look halfway done. The tails still look a bit messy and they’re very uneven. Wouldn’t recommend.

Update: it’s been 2 weeks since the store replied to my review but still haven’t reached out to me.

This was my second time at the ten spot on queen, and both of my experiences have been absolutely wonderful. Amanda did my service today and made me (as a beginner waxer) extremely comfortable for the entire process, and I was surprised how quickly it was finished! I’ll be coming to this location for all of my services!

I’ve been going to The Ten Spot for YEARS and Marijana is the absolute best, especially for a Brazilly. She is always quick, professional, super friendly, and pays attention to detail - for me, there’s no one better. I always leave happy with the experience and outcome! I’d recommend the Ten Spot to anyone, any day for waxing or mani/pedi.

I've had many GREAT technicians at Queen Street West, but my absolute favourite is Nathalie C. She is so cool. I'm a young 60 and she gets me. I want hip and lovely nail colours (OPI Schapps!). She showed me how to define my brows with Eye Envy Pencil. I just love her.

I've been to this Ten Spot location a several times and typically have really great customer service. The last time I went, I had a bit of an unfortunate experience but it was quickly rectified by the owner. It's clear that they are genuinely interested in customer feedback, I would return to this location!

Not super impressed overall. Booked a half hour manicure on a Sunday morning and it took an hour a half. Too long considering it was just a mani with polish, no gel or acrylics. The polish began chipping about Tuesday without my hands being stressed in any way; I just work an office job and take care of nails. They felt fine, but after I finished taking off the polish I did notice they were pretty uneven. My esthetician was nice but talk about over sharing, I wanted a relaxing morning mani and ended up leaning her life struggles without prompting or asking. Clean place, clearly well taken care of and well managed, and the staff were quite nice. I may have had a better experience if I had received a different girl

Pleasant staff, salon is clean and nicely decorated. I got a gel manicure and it turned out just okay. A little pricey for the service, and I probably won’t return because of that. There are other spots in Queen West that offer the same service for a more reasonable price that I would try before returning to Ten Spot.

Kala is an amazing and attentive esthetician. She often plays the role of a therapist and a friend. I have had nothing but great experiences here. The facility is very clean and seems to be continuing to update technology based on the needs of their customers.
