Great food and service. Very friendly and professional. It's noisy though, so be warned.

The Third is a great neighborhood restaurant. Went for lunch on a Tues. It was busy. Great service, delicious food - brisket sandwich w caesar salad. Just what we wanted. We'll be going back.

The Third is THE place for brisket. Everything they make with it is delicious, and the prices are great. Even better, there is always something interesting on tap. This is our favourite local restaurant.

Probably some of the cheapest beer in Ottawa where the quality is still top notch! Such a great spot to people watch, enjoy a beverage, and get some great food all at an incredibly reasonable price! The staff are also all so wonderful - we’ll be coming back! Might be our new favourite patio

The worst breakfast I’ve ever had; I am shocked they have a 4.6 star review.
The scrambled eggs were so overcooked that they were like rubber. It’s not hard to cook eggs; they’re probably the easiest thing to cook.
The ham tasted like it was just on the brink of expiring; the food isn’t fresh at all. The sausages are tough to slice through.
The service wasn’t friendly either.
Not impressed at all; I’m disappointed that the ratings on here mislead us.
Will never return or recommend this place.

I can't believe the price of the food there. It's so affordable, and the quality is superb. They make their own bread, even! Such a cozy atmosphere and coupled with the selection of comfort food, it's like going over to a friend's place for dinner.

Always a good time at The Third! Just make sure you arrive very early, or call to make a reservation ahead of time. Food is made from scratch, really interesting ideas and combinations on the menu, and great prices!

This place is unreal. I actually asked Siri who had the best fish and chips and this place came up. Went there with a buddy of mine then with my daughter the next day. Great crowd and the food prices are amazing. The bathrooms are spotless and did I say the prices are amazing? They even make their own hot sauce. Tells me the owners are more about treating people well as opposed to making a high profit.

Fun, cozy hole in the wall. Food was great, service was kind and timely. Only downfall was it was a bit too cozy for 5 people during peak/end brunch time.also sitting near the front gets cold in the wonder when people are walking in and out.

Was craving fish and chips and got it for takeout.was NOT disappointed. For the price, the quality was above and beyond! The tartar sauce was different in all the best ways! Apart from the amazing food, the customer service was on point. It was full when I walked in yet still got greeted right away.

Went here a few weeks ago with some friends. Really loved the fish and chips. Not very impressed with the cookie and milk. The cookie seemed burnt. The fish was light and well done. Will go back in the future foe that.but forget the cookie. The apple tart was gone. Will give it a try next time.

The third is a wonderful little place with awesome prices. The staff are great and the food is delicious.

By far the best local bar/resto in Ottawa. Not even close. We're house shopping just so we can live closer to it.

The burger was insane! The Ceasar salad was off the hook! The beer (Matron Yeasayer Lagerbier) was crisp! Loved it.

I'm just sad I can't eat more.

Real bang for your buck here.

Portions are a little smaller but the food quality is good. I've been multiple times and have always left satisfied. Great place to have a drink, snack and hangout.

Ok. They announced gluten free options, but they have one single gluten free meal option. Table too small for 4 persons.

Good service and nice ambience. Only complaint is the place is very noisy, it was hard to hear conversations at my own table.

OK! Have you been to the Third? No? Well, listen, ya gotta go! First, the people are amazing. Second, the food is outstanding. If you think of something on the menu would be good this way or that, just ask! Hamburger needs Mac n cheese, just ask. Brisket needs chicken poutine as a side, just ask. If you're kind, there's almost nothing they won't do for you. Third, the bang for buck is undiscribable. How can a table of two have 8 beer, 2 mains and a starter and be only faced with a $91 bill. I'll tell you how, we went to the Third. That's how. The Third is one of the best places in hintonburg. They make the area what it is. They set the bar for area haunts. We would not be the same with out them, so if they read this, thank you. Thank you from our family to you and yours. You are our place to go when we get the rare chance to go out. And we always leave half in the bag, bellies full and hearts singing. Thank you. Now, all you others, GO! Sit in the window! Watch the burg go by. And be kind. They are amazing!

Fantastic service, amazing food, great selection. One of my favourite places to go in the city. It can get busy on weekends, but worth the wait. Definitely recommend!

Beer selection was great and the food was delicious. Lindsay and Claire were very friendly, courteous and professional. Definitely will return. Excellent job.

We came in for brunch on Saturday, gave our name and number as requested, stood in line for 45min and two women came after us 20 min after and went in and gave their number and left to get coffee. The owner (or she says she is running the place) comes and calls out one of the women’s name and I nicely ask her that we were before these ladies, she very rudely tells us that no its according to our list and you have to wait! I then go in and ask to see the list, she refuses to show me the list and insists on being right instead of accepting she made a mistake (I hope it was a mistake and not anything else!)
We ended up grabbing coffee and pastries next door. Not going back till the customer service is this poor.

This is my favourite place to meet up with friends in the neighbourhood whether it’s for a quick bite or to tuck in for the evening - the perfect pub - warm, friendly, great curated beer selection, simple homey food, and, unconditionally, the best caesars and burgers in town.

Terrible Service!
Waited at the door for 40 minutes waiting for them to call us and the “manager” came outside and called the to ladies who came 20 minutes after us! We told her we’ve been waiting long before them and she said you have to wait we’ll call you! Terrible terrible experience! We eventually decided to leave!

The menu may be small but the food is delicious The beer is an excellent combination of craft and more popular brews. The staff round this out for an all around excellent experience.

Good craft beer selection with a small but tasty and inexpensive menu. Pub style cuisine mostly with a few vegetarian options to fill it out so there's something for everyone.

Unbelievable experience! Staff are extremely kind, warm and attentive to every patron. Always busy but well worth the wait! Located in a great part of Hintonburg so no trouble killing the few mins you may have to wait if you don’t have a reso. Simple and social. Great vibe for a friendly night out. Very reasonable priced. Sports, craft beer, karaoke. A gem in Hintonburg.

Come to The Third for an extremely relaxed, focused menu executed with perfection every time.

They may very quietly have the best fries in Ottawa, the menu is well priced and portions are perfect. A good selection of local taps with a rotating seasonal. The atmosphere is laid back excellence, as if you were being hosted by good friends! A couple sports screens above the bar, but not in an overpowering way.

The patio had some spots with and without shade, and many wasps unfortunately - hopefully there’s a nest they can take care of in the future?
