I got a facial there a few days ago and my face is STILL soft. Meghan was phenomenal and she answered all of my questions. IT was a but pricey but a great experience, especially since she was so knowledgeable and friendly. So relaxing and I would encourage everyone to come here for a facial, at least once!

Place itself has a great atmosphere as soon as you walked in. And the upstairs too!

I've been twice within the last 2 years - once for an eyebrow shaping/wax and once for a pedicure, both of which were birthday presents. While the staff and complimentary tea are lovely, I was disappointed by the small surroundings and lack of peaceful atmosphere - it was very squishy and bustling. I found the pedicure itself to be satisfactory but the chairs are horribly uncomfortable and I left with no sense of relaxation or pampering. For the prices, I was expecting a much better experience and will not return.

After a long winter, my feet were in need of an overhaul. The Foot Frenzy treatment was great! I prefer to paint my own nails, so I appreciated that The Upkeep Shoppe offers this option to clients. I left feeling like I had new feet, I can feel the difference when I walk. The esthetician did a great job of removing calluses and tidying up my nails and cuticles.

Staff were all friendly, and the salon was spotless. I noticed surfaces being cleaned frequently during my visit, which is reassuring for hygiene purposes. The complimentary tea being served was a thoughtful touch. A worthwhile place to visit if you're looking to treat yourself or somebody else.

Good experience. Staff were friendly and aesthetician knew what she was doing. The salon was clean and relaxing.

25 minute massage ended up being ten minutes and workers seemed very gossipy….

I have been going to the to the Upkeep Shoppe for over a year now. I find the level of service great and the environment of the shop is professional with homey feel. I have hands that work very hard and I can say that everytime I have had a Manicure with the Gel coating they last a very long time. Koodos to Natalie and her staff for an outstanding job!

After 3 long years I was finally able to use a gift certificate purchased for me and I am not disappointed!

My girlfriend and I booked ourselves an appointment yesterday evening (Wednesday) in order to treat ourselves. We got the Me time spa package + neck & shoulder massage and the entire experience was lovely. We were greeted by the receptionist who was warm and welcoming. We were then invited to hang our coats and pick out a colour for our mani pedis, Upkeep doesn’t have a super wide selection of colours (have selections of nudes, reds, blues, purples & a few others) but I tend to be quite “boring” with my nail colour so this was not something that bothered me! I landed on a beautiful dark purple (after quite some time debating - thank you staff for being patient with me!) and I do not regret it.
I had Maddy (I apologize if spelled improperly) for both my mani/pedi/massage. My gf had Sarah for the pedi and unfortunately did not get the name of the other staff member who did her mani, but all of them were so lovely, comforting and incredibly easy to talk to.
The pedi was absolutely amazing, the products used left me so soft and feeling rejuvenated. We were greeted by another staff member for tea once we got comfortable. For the mani, Maddy made sure to check in with me throughout the experience to make sure i was comfortable with things like shape, length, etc. Although I am fairly easy going when it comes to doing my natural nails, it was still very comforting to know/experience!
Since the massage was only neck & shoulder it was preformed at the mani station, Maddy used exactly the right amount of pressure and even managed to remove some knots in my shoulders (very thankful for) and even though I was sitting up I still caught myself drifting off.
The aroma throughout the spa the entire time was absolutely fantastic. The tea was great and i was very appreciative of all the refills! I left feeling very relaxed and had one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a while. My nails look so cute and I am completely obsessed with them. The shop itself is very aesthetically pleasing and beautiful! After such a lovely experience, my gf and I are hoping to make this a regular occasion.

The woman shouting on her phone for 40 min will leave a lasting impression of the Upkeep Shoppes tolerance of rudeness at the expense of their other clients. I had to cut my service short due to the volume. Silly me thinking that spas are supposed to be relaxing. It’s not ok to be rude.

The Upkeep Shoppe is one of my go-to spots for manicures and pedicures. Professional, attentive and relaxing environment. The location is very convenient too.

The team at Upkeep Shoppe are very welcoming and friendly! I booked a pedi & mani session for my fiancé, and she loved the treatment and the team's attention to details. They certainly take the time to provide a remarkable, detailed treatment.

I'd say the only minor setback is the absence of online payment method for booking (currently you either have to provide card details over phone/email or buy a gift certificate). Other than that, everything about Upkeep Shoppe and the team is excellent!

First time booking with them and the email confirmation I received after booking an appointment online was disrespectful and rude: full of rules and policies, and threats of what would happen if I broke one of those. Missing entirely from that email was a "Welcome", a "Thank you for choosing us! " or anything inviting that would make me want me to spend my money and time there. Also they want my credit card number in advance, which is something I will never agree with! What happened to good old fashioned customer appreciation and customer service?
I wrote them an email and spoke to a reception person about this issue and did not get much explanation except "Thank you for your feedback". Companies need to take a second look at the way they treat clients and customers. Why would I ever go somewhere that is opening with a threat? Especially somewhere where the main goal should be to relax and pamper me. So many places to choose from - I'll go somewhere else.

Recently had a facial at the Upkeep Shoppe; super friendly and attentive staff and second to none in cleanliness. My esthetician provided top notch service in delivering exactly what I needed; I was so relaxed post treatment. Super happy with the experience. I will definitely be back on my next visit to Ottawa.

This will be my new go-to place for shellac manicures - Andrea did an absolutely amazing job doing my nails, and I love how they turned out. Overall, it was a great time for self-care and relaxation. Will definitely be back!

My first time having a facial treatment and it was so worth doing in this salon! I forgot her name but she really treat me very well and I was so relaxed that I fell asleep during the foot massage! LOL. I will definitely go back and recommend Upkeep Shoppe to my friends.:)

Love this place! Only spot in Ottawa/Gatineau that I trust for a Brazilian or any waxing services. Always super friendly and make me feel comfortable during what is otherwise a very awkward experience!

Absolutely incredible service. We got the Mani Pedi packages with a neck massage and it was wonderful. Can't say enough good things about our technicians. It seems like a great environment to work in and everyone was very friendly. One thing I would say is perhaps call ahead if you added on a French manicure to make sure the station is set up for you.

Upkeep Shoppe is hands down the best in the city. The owner, Natalie, has gone above and beyond to make this the most beautiful and well kept spot to get pampered. Every service they offer is well planned, and they take the time to do it properly and to leave you relaxed and rejuvenated. Their facials are so luxurious, and their proprietary skincare brand 'Esau. ' are better quality than anything else you'll find on the market. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Maylee is the best manicurist I've met. When my sister got married she was the only person I would trust to do my her nails for such an important day.

Best nail salon I've found in central Ottawa. Very neat work on both manicure and pedicure, really good massages, very attentive and professional. Shellac lasts forever and they do careful removal too where your nails look perfect after and not damaged at all. Every nail master I've had has been wonderful and fun. Highly recommend! Book in advance! The me time package is great.

Overpriced for mediocre service, entitled nail specialist, expecting 20$ extra for doing less than expected for the price she charged.
