The staff are always lovely and professional. I usually use the massage services here, and never have a bad experience. Mariah is great as well as all of the other RMTs. Would recommend anyone to visit The Urban Spa!

My best friend was treated like she’s a complete trash. And I don’t like that she went in for the services and expected to be treated like a human not like an animal. This place has below standards the worst customer service. Go at you own risk! If up to me please do not go there!

I got my hair highlighted there a few months ago by Dyonesse and paid for a full highlight. I found out about a month and a bit later when I went back to my original hair stylist that she only gave me a partial. I tried calling the store to see if maybe there was some sort of miscommunication, but every time I would call no one would get back to me so I am now writing this review. Honestly very unprofessional that their staff can’t even get back to me after charging me almost $300 and not even giving me what I paid for.

Although the staff member was lovely, the underarm wax was very poorly done. I left with lots of hair still covering my underarms. It seems the hair was broken rather than removed.

Something I normally don't do, but my wife insisted I deserved it.and when she's right she's right.

The employees at Urban Spa are exceptional. Both times that I have called and gone in for my services, Taylor has taken care of me. She is professional, courteous and so friendly. All businesses should have someone like her greeting customers. She makes you feel welcome. Amazing services, I will be back for sure!

My daughter went to get her hair done for back to school. It was beyond what we expected, it was superb. Her hairdresser (Serena) is very very talented and educated with hair colours. We were so pleased with the gorgeous blonde highlights, so stunning!

One of the only places where I could book with a friend as they had space for two manicures/pedicures at a time. Great experience and friendly staff.

Not 5 stars because I would have expected more involved in the pedicure. Just did nails, cuticles and colour with a hot towel. No scrubs or anything to address dead skin or dryness.

The atmosphere at The Urban Spa is awesome. It offers a clean and modern environment that smells good but isn't overpowering. I love walking up to the charming building to enter such a professional entrance. I've only met a few staff but they were extremely friendly, professional, and talented with their work. An overall very enjoyable experience.

I had my eyelashes tinted at your spa yesterday. I have been there several times for this procedure.
The aesthetician didn’t use paper pads under my eyes, which I thought unusual, but didn’t want to question her expertise.
I paid then left for an appointment immediately after.
After greeting everyone at my appointment, I used the washroom and a quick look in the mirror showed a big black line of dye down the center of my nose and black underneath and at the outer edges of my eyes. I was pretty embarrassed and used soap to scrub the dye off my nose, but after scrubbing under and the outside corners of my eyes with soap, it was still noticeably there and irritated.
I returned to your spa after my appointment to hopefully get the black off my face. The receptionist was quite lovely and apologetic, but the aestheticians were both busy.
I was sent to the bathroom with a big plastic jug of olive oil and pads to remove the dye from my face.
Needless to say, this was not a good experience. At. All.

Very sloppy work (especially around the delicate eye area) and no integrity.

I come here for Massage therapy. I see Stewart or Cole depending on availability, but have been seeing Stewart more often. Both are amazing RMT's, and knowledgeable. Very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, also accommodating. What I enjoy the most is the physical health tips and information they teach me so i'm always leaving with some knowledge.

My wife and I went in for the new couples package which included a 60min massage and pedicure. The staff was very nice and professional. The building was very clean. The staff had beverages waiting for us aswell as a snack plate for after the massages. A+

It's ok.not sure why its rated the best of the best in PTBO? I have been to hundreds of places and this is a cool and cute place but more of a home setting, a tad cramped, over priced and not so spa like.

I had a great massage with Alex here a couple weeks back.i would definitely recommend her. My shoulder still feels fantastic and it needed a lot of work. Thank you all so much! Very welcoming experience.

Spent over $70 to get a Brazilian wax and left with untreated areas and raw skin. Wax was reapplied to areas many times throughout the session causing significant discomfort and pain. I've only ever had hard wax used for a brazillian and it was much less painful than this experience. Usually a wax takes about 20 minutes, however this one far exceeded 40 very unpleasant minutes. When the session was over, I was still left with areas with hair, very raw skin and significant amounts of wax residue. I would not recommend getting a wax here unfortunately.

The staff, especially Brooke, are always friendly, patience, and adaptable to the needs of their clients! Visiting always puts a smile on my face! A relaxing environment and great results every time! Would highly recommend!

I have been a few times for different things, relaxation massages and a pedicure. Each time, I have booked with Kyrsten, she has been wonderful every time, very friendly and polite and a great conversationalist! Between her wonderful service and the friendliness of the staff, it has been a great experience every time! Would recommend!

I really loved the atmosphere here. And the ladies that looked after us were really lovely. When the one girl brought us lattes she had done little pictures with cinnamon on top. I left with very pretty toes and my mom was pretty happy with hers.

I had a facial with Faith today & it was excellent! I felt she made good product choices for my skin type and I left glowing. Thank you!

Paid over $80 to get waxed and wound up having some skin removed. My girl back home can do this in 4 strips, this girl took over 10 and in some cases re applied the wax, hence the missing skin on my wedding night!

I have only gotten brow waxing services at Urban Spa but I've been pretty satisfied with their work thus far. I appreciate the convenience of being able to book my appointment easily online.

Great place! Had trouble with hair loss and needed colouring and cut. The staff gave me a drink on arrival and had hair done and eyebrows waxed. Both spent a great deal of time with me and was overly impressed! When you have any of the services you receive points you can use on future appointments. Place was spotless. No complaints and will return.

I come to The Urban Spa whenever I’m in Peterborough, and today had a massage with Jennie Persson. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with her. She was friendly, professional and gave me the best massage I have ever had. She focused on my problem areas and I left feeling like a new person. I wish I lived closer so I could see her more often! If you are looking for an RMT, Jennie is who you should see at The Urban Spa!

This spa was amazing! The customer service is fantastic there! We were greeted immediately and were asked if we wanted a beverage while waiting. My boyfriend and I went for a couples massage and we picked out aroma therapeutic melts and both of us pretty much fell asleep during our massages they were so amazing. We both were so relaxed and my boyfriends back pain was relieved afterwards. Then when we went downstairs we were given mimosas, fruit, cheese and crackers before we cashed out. I was so impressed and will definitely be back!

How disappointing? !? ! After a great appointment, I was once again disappointed with the operations side of the Urban Spa. When I called to make my appointment I specifically said that I had a $50 voucher that I got from cashing in my "loyalty points" that was about to expiry on July 19. I asked if they could book me in for a Seasonal Promo Mani/Pedi ($99) between now and then so I could use my voucher. The person on the phone (I will not name names) said I could and they booked me an appointment for today. At the conclusion of my very relaxing appointment I was advised that because the service was a promotion and my voucher was a promotion, I was NOT allowed to use them together and had to choose between using my voucher and paying full price for my Mani/Pedi ($110) or not using my voucher and paying full price for the seasonal combo. It is not the difference of $11 that bothers me so much as I was told there was actually a note on my reservation (again I will not name name's as to who put that note on my reservation) saying I could not use the two together (voucher and seasonal promo together) yet no one called me to advise me of this ahead of the time nor did I find out about it until after services had been provided, then what could I really do? !? !? !? ! This is not the first time I have been let down and disappointed by the operations side of the Urban Spa but this will be the last. Even though the services and the people providing those services are outstanding - the payment, scheduling and event side of the operations are poorly lacking and often do not meet expectations or what was agreed to. The relaxation that was reached during my visit was instantly destroyed when the payment disarray arose. Unfortunately this will be my last visit to this place.
