Staff is not good, I was caregiver there. They without any reason had racism towards me. They fired me, I proved them everything that i was being right m. Don’t know why?

My family was fortunate to be able to place our mother in a secure Special Care floor in LTC in May 2021. We are very pleased with her care from all the staff at the Village of Wentworth Heights. Thank you!

I have my aunt here in longterm care. Everytime we bring her clothes, shoes, even the comforter for her bed, all the items are missing. Today my poor aunt was dressed in dirty clothes that didn't even belong to her. Where are her socks? Where is her stuff? Its very sad that my aunt that has dementia and is unaware of what is going on is being taken advantage of. The staff claim that the items go to get labeled with her name, but the items never come back. We placed her here so that she can be taken care of. But she is being neglected and her stuff is being stolen.

I've had the privilege of interacting with some of the staff at The Village of Wentworth Heights for almost two years now as they develop the location. I am warmed by their care and compassion and dedication to their work. They clearly are drawn to what they do by the love of people and a deep caring for the Senior demographic. They are joyful, kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this stunning facility to anyone looking for a Seniors Residence.
I want to add an update for December 2020. My aunt is currently living at VWH and the care and dedication of the staff is amazing! I feel so grateful to them and feel so comforted by the fact that they are working so hard to keep all of the residents safe during this crazy time. Not only are they concerned with their physical health they are also concerned with their state of mind and do everything they can to keep the residents happy and engaged. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now more than ever!

Our mom lived here for a few years in assisted living. Wonderful caring staff. Always friendly. Very clean. Her room faced Rymal road so very sunny and bright

My wife and I moved into this village Dec 13 2016. Our decision to do so
was based on the ownership, staff, administration.
The staff have always treated us with respect and are always friendly.
We have good entertainment and lots of crafts and games to do.

We have never been so happy and well cared for

Recently attended a get acquainted BBQ and music night. The affair was well organized by a smiling, caring staff. The Village is very bright and clean. Ruby restaurant serves excellent food. Residents I spoke with are very satisfied. Daily activities are planned to suit an active or sedate retirement. A wonderful place for retirement!

I have been to a couple events at this location and it is very clean and organized. Staff is very friendly with the residents and there is a lot of attention to detail. Location is very new and well renovated.

My parents moved into one of the Villages in April of this year. Through out the experience of preparation and planning, the staff were friendly, helpful and available. When my sister and I spoke with several residents and asked them if they were happy living here, the answers were all yes.
Over the past months, our parent's experience, now as residents, has continued to be a positive one. The staff still are friendly, helpful and available. There is a genuine effort to present interesting and tasty meals. There is much to do, if one wishes, but there is not pressure. The main floor 'Village' concept is unique and invitational and their apartment is cheerful and efficient. Much research was put into examining options, by both them and their children; this was the first choice.

My dad always complains about this place, I had to take him and find another place. My dad told me the workers treat him very harshly and don't listen to anything he said, the building is also very dusty and the washrooms are gross. For the money i gave them this is not acceptable you have to treat the elderly with respect and give them the care they need and deserve, but Schlegel Villages is only interested in money and they spend there time trying to make things look good on paper rather then reality.

Very dirty long term facility, unsanitary. The Carrington is a real nightmare, as soon as you enter the overwhelming smell of old urine hits you. The carpets look moldy, stained with all kinds of bodily fluids, the walls are smeared with blood, and who knows what else. The residents are clean, but the place is disgusting.

NO A/C since Friday. The residents of this retirement community on the 1st 2nd and 3rd floor have been without air conditioning since August 31th 2018. Today is 3 days later and very hot and still no reaolution. Residents, some dementia patients who can't even speak, some who have no one to help them, are stuck in non ventilated rooms. They dare not complain since there could be retaliations. How can the management of this facility allow this to happen. What is management doing to help the residents.besides telling them that it may be fixed by Wednesday? ? How are they helping the residents? Keeping the residents updated with the situation? They are silent, hoping no one complains. From anywhere from 5000 to 7000 per month, I hope that somehow these residents are compensated for this issue. But most of all, I hope no illnesses progress or are borne from this lack of action from the management at Wentworth Heights. To say they don't know or are waiting for a part, is baloney. Would a health facility allow this to happen or get away with no actions?

Day 4.no air conditioning or circulation in suites. Excessive Heat warning.what is management doing?

Day 5.appears to be working now.

Great first impression, breakfast not included in meal plan. Lots of extra charges, food isn't all that great, service is depending on wait staff.
