UPDATE: it’s 2023 and i am still a client. Opinion has not changed. Staff are amazing and so kind, the best experience and very reasonable pricing given the quality. Always a recommendation from me! Have switched from waxing to laser since the service was offered and am so happy with results.will be continuing the laser and once i am hairless will still continue to book other services

Absolutely in love on my first visit. Night and day experience compared to a chain I was previously going to. Waxing room is so comfortable and relaxing, felt like a spa and was almost pain free. I was given information about skincare/aftercare products after I asked about them; Raine was so helpful explaining how they would help and I never felt pressured to purchase anything (though I did and am very happy with the results!) rebooked that same day and would 100% recommend. Looking forward to going back.and I never expected to feel that way about a bikini wax!

I had a great experience at the Wax Lounge. From the minute I walked in the environment was welcoming and very calm. This was my first full wax and Manda made the treatment as comforting as it could be. I will definitely be back and would recommend the Wax Lounge to anyone!

My first-time experience here was excellent! As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a serene ambience, pleasant aesthetic, relaxing aroma and a warm welcome from staff. Directions were precise and given with a gentle tone. Rooms were clean and properly prepared. Music in the room was a little too loud for my ears but I am an older client and prefer a notch less in volume and so this should not affect my rating for the service. I came in for a Brazilian. I will never use regular wax again! Hard wax was excellent, less pulling and more gentle than regular wax. Thankfully, the service was fast. Staff is professional and they keep a nice light conversation. I will absolutely recommend The Wax Lounge and will be a returning client. Thank you so much for an exceptional experience!

I went to the wax lounge for a lash lift and tint and it was so lovely. They were do accommodating with my schedule and it honestly felt like a mini vacation. Definitely going back.

I absolutely love this place. It is so chique and beautiful. Their treatments are amazing and range from waxing, to body massages, reflexology and state of the art anti aging facial therapies. The girls are so friendly and very professional. I had the best pedicure ever! On my birthday I received a gift certificate for a Hydra facial and reflexology…. I was in heaven. So grateful that we have this gem of a Spa here in Hamilton.

Raine is a skin wizard! I saw The Wax Lounge on Instagram, and immediately was impressed by Raine’s flawless skin.

She had me in for a professional consultation and made some recommendations - which I took.
She was bang on!
Literally, after about a week, my skin was more even-toned, hydrated and with virtually zero redness.

I haven’t had the chance to try more advanced services and specialty facials, but I will be in the fall, and can’t wait.

My go to place for waxing! I have been going to the Wax Lounge for about 6 years! Raine and her team create a sense of tranquility the moment you walk into the building. Raine and her team make you as comfortable as possible during each visit regardless if it is your first time or the 100th time. I have lived in multiple cities (Lindsay, ON and Surrey BC) and I would make my wax appointments around the same times of coming back to Hamilton. Once you go hard wax with Raine and her team you just will not settle for anything less!

Raine and the team at The Wax Lounge are very knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to all skin care needs. I started getting the hydrafacial treatments and could not be more happy with the results. I recommend The Wax Lounge to anyone looking for spa treatments. They also have a variety of natural skin care products on hand! Check them out!

Kindness means having consideration for a full-time single mom who never has time for herself and books a $200 facial weeks in advance and pays a 50% deposit and hires childcare ($45) leaves work a couple hours early and pays for parking.all to be called "hun" several times (disrespectful after I asked her not to - it's gendering me and diminutive- should never talk to clients that way or use that in the workplace at all!) and told that my family doctor should've told me about the pre-hydra facial care instructions since I've used retin-a every night for the last 20+ years. It makes no sense. Not taking responsibility for making sure your client knows the pre treatment routine when I spoke to someone on the phone and I was sent several communication touch points from your wax lounge-each an opportunity to ensure that I knew not to use any active ingredients for 2 weeks before the hydrafacial, as per the consent form I was supposed to sign upon arrival. The whole experience was abysmal and I'm embarrassed for you. You wasted my precious “me time” and money for childcare, but you didn’t care at all and blamed me (or my family doctor?). And waxing someone right in the waiting area!? Yikes.very awkward and uncomfortable. Kindness means caring about what MY experience was at your business, not relying on other people to give you their account of it! And surveillance!? So you record clients getting treatments -oh how intimate and relaxing. Geesh. And fix your air conditioning! Gross. Maybe the poor lady lying down in the waiting room getting waxed right out in the open and sweating thinks it's normal but people, who have been to actual spas and professional places where you're treated with respect not condescension, know it's not normal. People should know how not-relaxing and unprofessional your place is. Just walk down the street to laser spa group (for facial) or bare wax bar in westdale to tell the difference. And you’re still unable to validate or apologize. I did not act loud or abusive - I never raised my voice or used any curse words or insulting offensive language at all. Does your surveillance have audio? I asked to speak in private but sadly the whole conversation played out in front of your receptionist/waiting room waxer and client being waxed by the front window because I guess there was no where else to go? My talking in a normal adult speaking voice expressing my disappointment and resentment for being blamed for YOUR misstep is not rude or insulting. Being gaslit and called “hun” by Manda, who should know better, is actually rude and insulting. I was genuinely upset and got zero empathy or validation from owner or staff, and left with tears in my eyes. Nobody EVER told me I wasn’t welcome back it wasn’t even like that. There was no apology or accountability taken by the owner or her daughter for wasting my time and money, or even admitting/acknowledging that yes someone should have TOLD me that I should stop retinoids and AHAs TWO WEEKS before the appointment! Kinda important info don’t you think? If you actually took safety seriously, you would make it a standard practice to not only take a $deposit from clients but COMMUNICATE before/after care instructions well before they show up for the appointment. Geesh. I’m just some lunatic that walked in and randomly started abusing staff? Walking in and your first impression is how hot and stinky it is plus a woman laying down being waxed right in front of you? Not a nice relaxing spa experience the prices they charge do not reflect the experience you would expect. And your phone call at 8pm and still never apologized or acknowledged- I was so DONE wasting my time with your negative energy.

Love this place. The atmosphere is so beautiful and relaxing and the staff are always amazing. I go to get my eyebrows done there on a regular basis and love them every time. Highly recommend!

I have been going to the Wax Lounge for years, and I do not have enough positive things to say. What started as a last minute booking, has turned into a long term relationship! All of the services provided are 5+ stars ; whether you are getting their AMAZING pedicure or any waxing you feel relaxed and comfortable. The staff is always so positive, helpful, and knowledgeable. I just did my first session of laser hair removal on my legs with Raine. I was realllly hesitant before hand. I’ve had laser hair removal before, years ago. I remembered it being really painful and it took a long time.but I trust the team at Wax Lounge, so I decided to give it another go. I am so happy I did!
It was completely pain-free and soo fast.
The only place I (even slightly) felt the laser was around my ankles/bottom of my shins and even then, it was maybe a 1/10 in terms of pain. So happy so far, can’t wait to continue with the rest of the sessions:)

I’ve had laser hair removal treatments in the past - so I went in today expecting the same thing but maybe with a little more *zen*.

What I got was my expectations blown out of the water - and realized my past experience were sub-par. The attention to detail, the thoroughness, and the overall comfort of my session has me excited for my next treatment - I’m beyond confident my results will be the best yet because of the thoroughness of my technician Raine. I almost fell asleep that’s how pain free the majority of my treatment was. Thank you wax lounge for investing in the top of the line system - can’t wait to come back!

I have been going to the Wax lounge since Ottawa Street. The service and atmosphere are both amazing. I get all my waxing done by Raine, the owner. I have never been disappointed. I have highly sensitive skin and generally react to everything- I have never once had a reaction here! I highly recommend Raine and the team here as they truly go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I have tried similar businesses in the Hamilton area and this is by far the best i the area! Worth every penny!
