Drinks are not bad but the customer service is extremely poor. The lady at the counter was very rude and on her phone with airpods in and chatting continuously while making our order. Wont go back to this store because of the customer service experience i had.

This place advertise that they sell ice cream but they never have when you show up; so I decided to call ahead. The woman on the other end said, they don’t have ice cream today. Then I asked, when do you have ice cream? She said she doesn’t know and I should call ahead to check if I want ice cream. Weird? What kind of business is this? !

I tried the STRAWBERRY SLUSH and it tasted amazing. Will definitely visit again! I customised my drink with Coconut Jelly

My friends and I found The Whale Tea while driving past looking for a shop that sold drinks late at night. A lovely little place with simple elegance. I purchased the mango slush, not expecting a very large and delicious drink in a cute cup topped by an ice cream whale! I’d go back for the same thing, but everything else looked so good, too. I’ll be back!

Golden Cocoa soft serve doesn’t taste a whole lot like cocoa. Not the biggest fan but I can see someone else liking it.

Worst Taro Milk tea! Felt like I was drinking water with a tiny bit of taro flavour.
Service was quick though.

I've heard that at least once they were cutting meat on the pavement in the alley behind their store. That is just horrendous. Especially considering whats normally done in that alley.

No this isn't racially motivated or anything and the last thing I'd ever want is for the place to close.
It's more about accountability and hopefully they'd just never do that sort of thing ever again.
Every restaurant/ business that sells any food or drink should be held to a high standard of cleanliness, especially these days, considering we pay an arm and a leg just to find out that some place heavily relies on microwaves or their product comes from Costco or some other horrid grocery store with their own awful practices.
So hopefully they just up their practices and don't do things like that ever again.

The drink was good but the staff was unprofessional and on the phone (earbuds) whilst serving us through the counter. No smile whatsoever.

Drinks are falsely advertised, overpriced, and their service is slow and abhorrent. On my first visit, drink was okay but it took 30 minutes to make despite being the only customers in the store. I went last week for a second time as I was in the area and ordered their taro latte milk tea. As other reviews have noted, it is not taro flavoured. It's milk + old gross taro pieces at the bottom. When I pointed out to their staff that their photo of the drink is purple and misleading, they tried to justify their lying by saying they use "fresh taro; not taro powder like other places so it's healthier". The staff member offered to make me a new drink.if I paid for it. They obviously don't care about their customer service here, so don't expect much. Head over to Coco if you want a drink that tastes like taro AND they give you taro at the bottom too.

Love this place! Have taken many friends here and will continue to do so. They were also very understanding today, when I told them I had ordered something previously in the day but had forgotten to take it. They made the remainder of my order and gave it to. Thank you so much, The Whale Tea. I appreciate you.

Restaurant ambience needs improvement. Out of the ice creams we bought, the cocoa flavour (black) was okay

A cute place for boba downtown. The crystal drink we got was basically glass jelly, so was kinda dissapointed. But the pomelo mango was very good and the jar is super cute. Would definitely come again!

It’s gotta be one of the best ones I had. Whichever one you go for, the bubble tea is delicious and authentic.

Super disappointed in this establishment. The taro slushie tasted like blended milk and cream. We were confused as to why the drink was white (as opposed to the usual purple) and were told it’s because they use fresh taro - which is a significant taste difference that they should be advertising.

We paid $20.60 for 2 drinks that we didn’t drink, which is already 25-30% more then what other places charge. We were offered new drinks and then asked to pay for these new drinks - which was frankly insulting and a terrible business practice esp considering their actually cost per drink.

Won’t be returning.

I don't know if it's cause we ordered at night but tapioca balls were tough to chew and the milk tea just tasted like 2% milk. Very lack flavour.:/

The Whale Tea is my favourite downtown london spot for bubble tea. Conveniently located close to Citi Plaza, this sweet oasis is a nice spot to stop in for a refreshing drink.

I always order the whale tea, which is a milk tea and quite sweet. The menu is extensive with lots of choice.

Check them out the next time you are downtown!

If you are in a hurry 5his is not your place, but it is worth the wait. Great tasting drinks. Super refreshing

The Taro latte sucked. It was basically milk + taro.
And unfortunately, the taro tasted off. Rancid. Rotten.
Most likely it's just the taro latte and the rest of the bubble teas are actually okay. But I paid around $8 for like 300 ml (or less even) which I only drank 100 ml or less (because it was too off to drink for me).

In addition to Boba my tea came with a staple. Particularly dangerous in bubble tea when there’s already a lot going on. Thankfully I didn’t swallow it. I called to let them know and they told me they were too busy to talk to me, about how a staple ended up in my drink, and hung up. Needless to say I won’t be returning.

Customer service is good but drinks, not worth the price.we got the blue crystal coconut milk tea. It was different and taste wise it was okay, not the best I've ever had.

The drinks are not bad but the service is horrible. First it takes too long. Second the staff needs to be better at listening and asking.came here 3 times and 2 times they got the order wrong! Didn't want to say anything. Probably won't come back again!

Tried their 'The Whale Tea' under peach resin series. I'm sad to say that I didn't like it at all. The drink just tasted of coconut milk. The peach resin has a slimy texture and didn't taste anything close to peach. I also added sakura jellies hoping for something unique, but they were just sakura petal shaped and didn't taste of anything. The texture of the sakura jellies were harder than the typical Boba or fruit jelly you have, which I didn't like.

My friend tried their whale tea and said it was good but also said that the drink and peach resin weren't flavourful.

Pretty drinks. Maybe their ice creams are better.

A super fun spot with high quality ingredients and well made drinks. Even crazy black ice creams that we will def be back for in the warmer months.

Very rude customer service especially makes u feel racist when they talked to u so rude and than other customer treated in different way even though u are so polite to them.wont go there again

Store was NOT busy and it took over 10 minutes to make this one drink! Another customer walks in and ordered two other slushy drink and left way before I did.place is okay but the service SUCKS!

Only two people are making tea and one is in training (the boy is asking the girl how to make it). I wait for about 15min for a single cup of grape chia seed tea. See the whole grape? How u guys want me drink it with a straw?
