Great food, gluten free options and a very cool building. Very unexpected when you drive up, but I was jealous of the rest of the party who could order from the whole menu.

This place is a decent place. It had good energy and the staff were friendly enough. The portion sizes are great compared to the average restaurant. The food wasn't flavourful however. It was a bit bland. I ordered the lamb shank and my guests ordered the rice and peas and chicken.

A very slow moving operation. Here at Wilcox. Big difference from before. Food came out in pieces and burnt.
Oysters are extremely dry as they sit on a fridge shucked. What a shame. Nice place. But terrible service and the food is not worth the price
3 burnt tacos. No side. Not even a pico on the side $21. Fish tacos. Has about a square inch of “Cajun” = burnt fish.will not return. Would much rather go elsewhere

Great deal on oysters on Tuesday/Wednesday however it took over 45 minutes for them to arrive. Was not a pleasant start to our visit which meant a very quick exit once we finally received our food.

Apprehensive to come here again because of my initial experience however L- MY BOY MAX was amazing, super accommodating, and extremely helpful and friendly. We loved the patio and I’ll come again.

Really not impressed with this place. Servers were rude and the cocktails were way too sweet. Over priced. Only gave 2 stars because the food was half decent. Would not recommend.

Editing my post because the owners told me to email them. I did, and I followed up a week later and still no response. So looks like they just did that for show.

Really nice job on the renovations versus the last time I was there. Very nice place to dine.

Oysters were a little small but damn delicious! 16 dollars for 12 oysters is a great deal even if smaller in size. Ordered the duck dish, it was a little dry and the fried rice was okay, I think instead of an onsen egg, if the eggs were scrambled and mixed into the rice it would have been better. We also got the nashville hot chicken, the brioche bread was amazing and so was the crispy piece of chicken that came between the buns! The nashville they used for the chicken wasn't spicy or flavorful and made the chicken just feel greasy. The service was great but the atmosphere was humid and warm. The ambiance was fantastic. Will definitely come back for the Oysters and to try other dishes.

Nice spot to hang out. Food and drinks are both excellent.truffle fries, shishito peppers and mushroom fried rice are great vegetarian options. Loved the flavor!

(Edit) Fried rice didn't taste so great the second time I was here

I recently had dinner here with my close friends and I am not exaggerating when I say The Wilcox has one of the best customer service in the GTA. I felt extremely welcomed and taken care of during my entire time there. Not even that, but the food was fantastic for how cheap everything is. I am definitely coming back here again!

One of our favourite restaurants! We had the lobster roll (delicious bread and perfect flavours on the lobster), kimchi croquettes (which are the BEST and topped with tuna), fried chicken burger (delicious and juicy), truffle fries (perfect amount of truffle oil and cheese) and Japanese carbonara (also SO delicious, the noodles are a perfect texture and all the flavours go together so well). You can tell that the chef has a very well-rounded understanding of texture and flavours. Aya was the greatest server we've encountered since the lockdown lifted - dear management, keep her! She made such great recommendations, was very personable and knew the menu like the back of her hand, even if she didn't personally try some of the dishes we asked about. I'm so glad The Wilcox survived the pandemic! I can't wait to come back with more friends.

Really a nice atmosphere if you want to go out for a drink with the girls or a date. I have been here a couple times since everything opened up and it has been excellent service every time! I would recommend this place! Just make sure you are on time for your reservation. So you have more time to enjoy the place. Good vibes good music and really friend staff!

Went here for lunch on the patio, showed up with no reservation and asked if we could be in and out in 45 minutes which was no problem at all. The lobster rolls are really good.

It was a really disappointing dining experience. The price of the food definitely above average bar/pub food prices. But the quality is below the average. We ordered southern friend chicken, fish and chips and truffle fries. The southern fried chicken had weird wine/sour taste. We could barely eat it. The fish and chips, the fish is 80% flour and some part of the flour is raw. Not much fish in it. The potato fries came with the fish was alright. In addition, they have a long big table in the middle of second floor dining area. And the table corner faces right to the stairs which it is dangerous. My boyfriend bumped to the table corner (which is wooden/ hard). His phone was in his pocket and that was the spot he got hit. His phone screen was crushed because of that hit. That table isn’t for dining just for staff to put some extra water glasses/water. It’s really unreasonable and dangerous. He was going to talk to the server about this but there was literally no servers. Btw, the server who serve us last night took 15 min to take our orders which was disappointing too. They were not that busy at 7: 30 pm on Friday and they had a lot of servers around.

My friends and I came here last night and we had an awesome time. Food was good, atmosphere was great, and the service was incredible. We were blown away by Jessica who served us in the pouring rain. She got soaked but stayed so friendly and made sure my friends and I had a great night.

We had a blast sitting out on their patio. Its spacious and offers a good amount of shade. The service provided from Destiny (our waitress) was amazing. She was fast and friendly. We had ordered the wings, fish tacos and truffle fries. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.

The four of us and our baby chose to have lunch at Wilcox's patio when stage 2 opened up. I called to make reservations the day of but it wasn't necessary when we got there as there were plenty of seating still available. The restaurant isn't stroller friendly as there are stairs to go down to access the patio. There was not much room to have the stroller beside our table.

We decided to order a variety of appetizers to share that day. We ordered a dozen oysters, mussels, truffle fries, lobster poutine, and the pork belly sliders. We realized upon eating that we ordered a lot of carb heavy items and couldn't finish everything. I enjoyed the seafood dishes and truffle fries the most. It seemed the majority enjoyed the sliders as we ordered a second round.

The patio space is small so tables aren't that far apart. There were two people seated right next to us pretty much - definitely not 6 feet apart. They were so close as if we were sitting next to them.

I went to this place for the first time on july 3rd and I had Amanda who served myself & friends. The first thing is the food is amazing, I'd definitely come back and the reason for coming back for real would be my experience with Amanda, i dont know her last name but this woman was amazing! SHE DESERVES A RAISE, above and beyond service. I had to speak to the manager about her.

Full love Amanda and keep up the hard work our crew will definitely be back!

I usually enjoy the food here, but I was quite disappointed today. The Japanese carbonara was far too salty and the fish tacos were a joke. The only redeeming dishes were the truffle fries and the oysters. Don’t see myself coming back here, considering the portions are tiny for the price.

When the reopening plan finally allowed restaurants to open (with patios) I was super excited and decided to return to this restaurant because I remembered it had a nicely decorated patio. When we went in, we were asked to sign in and do a quick questionnaire about our covid-19 status for tracking.
Anyways, the hostess gave us a warning that she would be giving us a small table which we didn't mind.
We were led out to the patio and we were given a table for two directly under the sun.
In the beginning we thought we would be able to tolerate it but after our server got us water - it just got worse minute by minute. We were very hot and asked the hostess to move us.
Here is where my rating decreases:
We told the hostess that we were getting quite hot not being in shade. And instead of trying to get us a table under the shade, she continued to clean tables to help the bartenders. (I was once a hostess so I understand this is part of her job) but I was hoping she'd realize that we were really frying out in the sun.
We saw her walk back and fourth 4+ times without updating us if any of the tables she was cleaning was for us. (Keep in mind, if she gave us a reservation table rest assured my partner and I would've left earlier so they can prep for the reso).
After frying in the sun for 15 minutes we got up and told our server/bartender that we were leaving we really couldn't take the heat. She assured us that she'll get us a table, and it took another 5-7 minutes and got us one in the shade.
Another reason the rating is low, is because I noticed that the bartenders gave the group tables (3+ people) an entire glass bottle of water to refill their glasses. My partner and I had to wait and/or ask other servers to fill out glass and they would take the glass bottle away with them.
It became very annoying to have to wave down a server just for a glass of water every single time ours ran out. I realized that we were just spacing our sips of water just to ration it throughout the lunch.
Honestly, I give them a slight break because I understand that restaurants probably had to do last minute hiring, and prepping but I think this restaurant could've done better as it did for me in the past.
Unfortunate experience this time.

Literally just had the best meal of my entire life! We shared the lobster poutine and oysters to start which was insane. We then had the Japanese Carbonara where the noodles melted in your mouth and the octopus which was the most delicious thing we've both ever had EVER! We will be back for sure! What a great way to get back into enjoying restaurants after a longgggg lockdown!

Great service, relaxing atmosphere, and the menu is on point! The oysters were super fresh and the beef tartar bone broth app was my favourite!
Jessica served us and we couldn’t be happier with everything. Will be returning in the near future!

Octopus was amazing, mahi mahi tacos were really good, Cajun chicken penne pasta was okay. Very good service and food!

I was not going to post this review but after going to Gusto101 today. I decided to. I purchased the rally for restaurnats giftcards for two restaurants, Gusto101 and Wilcox. I went to Gusto101 today where I was able to use both giftcards at one, but when I went to Wilcox 2 weeks ago they only allowed me to use one and said to return for the other. I was a bit upset as this is clearly a lie since I was able to use both at Gusto. Anyway, their price is quite high for very basic items. The lobster roll was all bread, truffle fries too salty, and caesar salad avg. Drinks at minimum $15, if they were a bit cheaper I would have ordered another drink and maybe another appetizer as I was still hungry. Was a bit upset because I only ordered my drink to reach $35 to use my giftcards, only to be told I wasn't able to. So much for the ralley for restaurant program, perhaps I should let them know.
