Don’t go! Totally overpriced (basically $25 for a burger and you haven’t even bought any sides), the side of fries is tiny and service was SOOOOO so slow, especially for an empty restaurant. We have made the mistake of going 3 times over many years and won’t be going again. Bloor west could use a small independent burger restaurant!
I am so impressed with this location! The food and service was great. Although I was with a party of 7, the food was served fresh, and in a timely manner. It also felt like we were VIP because our table was in a separate area. Shout out to our server Trevor! He had a kind an bubbly personality, and made sure our burgers were cooked and prepared to our liking. He also made sure my sister felt special on her birthday, which was really nice! We will definitely be coming back here:)
Great spot if you can catch them on a slow day, otherwise it will take you forever to get seated and even longer to get served. Nice people and great food, I think the management just keeps them critically understaffed so they’re always a little overwhelmed.
The food is creatively crafted and delicious. We had a wonderful server but, sadly, our order got delayed due to a mix-up with delivery/pick up orders. The server made up for it with a not-too-shabby 50% discount.
Waited 40 minutes for two burgers. The patty is so tiny, it sits in the middle of the bun with extra space. There were no taste at all, burger buns were stale, patty overdone. Horrible place.
So delicious and what cheerful and polite staff. Trevor took real good care of us. We love the works no other burger joint hits the spot quite like this. Their creemore draft beer is always so delicious as well. The bottomeless Fries and chips are also a hit. We will be back!
Amazing place super cute and beautiful! Magnificent, Delicious and very fresh pastries on great price! Customer service is excellent. Strongly recommended. Looking forward to go back!
Burger overcooked got the pineapple and sweet heat sauce burger.kinda expected more then just that on the bun.not even lettuce (exactly what was in menu. So my fault there). Best part of the night is when the waitress asked myself and my wife if we wanted separate checks
We were a group of family and friends after a long day having fun during visit high park cherry blossom, tired and hungry find this place on our way home and then they nailed it was by far the best burger I have ever had. Special thanks to Brenda our amazing host she is so patient warm and friendly great job.
Second time I went here was disappointing. The food almost took an hour to be served and it was not even full capacity. Servers were not attentive until we were paying the bill and their washroom were not available to use. When we followed up for the food, server told us if we were not informed that the wait time for food which are mainly burgers was minimum 45 minutes. Have we known we wouldn't have gone here.
The strength of the Works is the menu's variety, and the amazing service. It's a very family-friendly space with lots of seating and no dingy bar vibes.
Veggie and Gluten-free options are built into the menu, though the GF bun probably needs an upgrade, as it just can't hold up.
I can’t thank the young Woman enough who ran out to the side walk on April 21st like a Hero to help a Senior. Women like you are angels, that instill hope in humanity. Your critical instincts could have saved a life. Thank you x1 billion. Myself and my client are so grateful for your kindness.
Seems like a decent place and I love that it’s in the neighbourhood, but I’m vegetarian and they served me an actual meat patty instead of the impossible burger that I ordered, and it made me quite sick. Really wish they carried real veggie burgers that DON’T simulate the taste of meat - many of us prefer them!
Great burgers and bottomless fries for our family of 5. Our server Aveena was a pro. The place was jammed on a Wednesday, and she was super attentive even though they were short staffed. When we asked to see the manager to give feedback on her, she said that they did not have a manager at the moment. Heads up to Works corporate or owner. Aveena is a gem. You should make her the Manager.
Awful experience. Waited for 1.5 hrs for the order and it never came. The staff kept saying that something happened with the printing machine in the kitchen, but didn’t try to make the experience better. Offered to take food home when we were about to walk out of the restaurant, but the food still wasn’t ready….
Definitely a solid 4 stars. Burgers were tasty, but the patty was slightly overcooked. The fries are excellent, the toppings great, and the salad plenty. Service was a bit slow considering it was off-peak hours, however they were friendly and attentive. Pricing is also a bit excessive considering the quality but it’s pretty normal for Toronto.
Our experience recently at The Works in the Bloor Weet Village was absolutely fantastic. The food was excellent and arrived promptly. Our server Aveena was pleasant and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. We will certainly visit again soon, thank you!
The hardest part is choosing what burger to eat. Surprise they're all pretty good. They do a blooming onion as well. So, there's lots of flavor to add to the stack.
If you are a burger head this is the place. Wonderfully delicious every time. The service is great. Staff is super friendly. We even had a chat about The Prince's book "Spare". This place will not disappoint.
