Third Son Tailor Shop

I found out about Ramy and his tailor shop last year when i was looking for a suit for my own wedding in June (first anniversary!) and let me tell you, best decision I made! Ramy was very accommodating, amazing with communication, and helped me spitball ideas, as I have never owned a suit before. He made everything easy to understand, gave great suggestions, and was so kind to work on a time crunch for me, which i am eternally grateful. I looked and felt amazing on my wedding day, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a custom suit. I’ve already mentioned him and his shop to other trans folks, as he is very LGBTQ+ friendly! If you need a suit in Ottawa and you want one that’s made for YOU and stands out, go to him! (the custom lining was all his idea and a wonderful surprise!)

I came in for an appointment in January 2023 for a custom suit for my wedding in June 2023. I met Spencer who was a pleasure to work with from the start. When I came in for my first fitting I met Ramy. Both of them were very friendly and made my first custom suit experience a breeze. 4 days before my wedding I wanted a few more alterations and with no hesitation they took my suit and had it back to me in 2 days! I absolutely loved the suit and received so many compliments throughout the night. Would definitely recommend getting your suit done here, the entire experience was amazing!

Excellent service and workmanship. I was in a rush and needed suit alterations done in two days. I was only expecting for the most urgent work to be completed, yet they were able to finish the entire order within this short deadline - a pleasant surprise! The alterations were of high quality. Strongly recommended.

I was very impressed by the custom service in my first visit to Thrid Son. Ramy and Spencer were very friendly, knowledgeable and patient to help with all questions. Came in with a shirt and pants that needed to be shorten, tapered, and hemmed. Was told to come back and pick up 1 month later (probably due to busy season).
The day of pickup, came in to find it wasn't done and was told to come back the next day. The following day, I called at noon to ask whether it is ready or not, was told yes; came in to find that only half of the items asked to be done was complete - was told to come back in an hour.
In the end, shirt and pants were well done though. Gave me a ~30% discount for my troubles.
A suggestion is that they should call the customer the day of pickup so that they need to verify if the items are ready themselves to avoid this type of situation.
Tough debate to give 3 or 4 stars.
TLDR: Shirt and pants were delayed and had to come back twice. Was given a discount for the troubles.

I couldn’t find a bridal outfit off the racks that suited my taste so I approached Ramy with a bunch of photos in attempt to share my vision. He took it to the next level and came up with a custom bridal outfit (pants, shirt, lace belt train) that was completely me. He took into consideration my comfort, style, and wishes as he made everything coordinate. As well, he had great suggestions for local Ottawa companies for accessories and had thoughts on what those accessories should be. Overall I would 100% recommend Ramy and his team for any tailoring or custom work!

Impeccable service that both Ramy and Spencer earnestly provide with great care and expertise. I came to them to have alterations completed on my white tie evening dress suit before my wedding. Everything was done perfectly and in the time they told me it would take. I was really happy I came to Third Son. Looking forward to coming back to do something black tie with them. My winter coat now has a zipper. The changes were so well done that I couldn't tell the difference. I am very pleased with the work he has done and will definitely return. I was difficult, but they were patient and accommodating. Thank you.

It was my first time getting something tailored and I had a wonderful experience with Third Son. I emailed them beforehand inquiring about a dress I needed taken in for an upcoming event and they were very quick with getting back to me and being flexible. In the shop they were welcoming and altered my dress perfectly and even a little earlier than the original pick up date! Thank you, Ramy and Spencer.

I can't thank Ramy and his staff enough for the incredible job they did on my wedding tux and my father's suit. Ramy was extremely knowledgeable and gave me fantastic advice on everything for my tux, groomsmen suits, ties, shoes, etc. He made everything, from choosing out the fabrics to the fit and style of the suits, so easy. The finished product came out absolutely perfect. Would highly recommend Third Son and Ramy for any tailor needs. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

We had our wedding in September of 2022 in Ontario, Canada. I am from abroad and had 8 groomsmen and my dad who all live overseas. Rammy made a custom tuxedo including two jackets for me. He flew out to Ontario from Ottawa to meet me in the airport and drove out to meet me too, to complete suit fittings. He also managed to arrange all the tuxedos and ship them all over the world, including South Africa and the UK. The suits were perfect fits and we have had so many remarks from all of our family and friends regarding how handsome we all looked!
