Tholos Restaurant

Service was horrible and manager/owner was even worse. So much unnecessary attitude. The lamb shank dish was full of fat and had a sweet flavour. Appetizers were tasty but pricing made no sense.

Four people was about $250 and I had the following comments about the food:

- Carrot slightly undercooked
- Portion is very small
- Chicken souvlaki is dry
- Steak is decent
- Fries surprisingly good

Service was good little slow because of how busy it was.
Atmosphere and theme was really well made.

We tried in the Blue Mountains branch. They provided us with the wrong order, forgot to give us our full food, service was not upto the mark, made several mistakes. The quality of the food doesn’t justify the high price. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Not sure why some bad reviews. The food was fantastic. Meat was very tender and the ambiance was wonderful. Prices are a little high as it’s a touristic area. To be expected. Our waitress was very attentive and very friendly.

Food was amazing! Definitely recommend to get a good Greek food experience. Prices are a bit high however, but I would recommend nonetheless.

18% perccent auto gratuity for a family of 5 for over-inflated prices and very moderate portions. The food is good, but prices are too high.

Beautiful place, friendly staff, food was expensive and it was ok nothing special except the flaming cheese dish and the baklava cheesecake, that was awesome

Best food in the village! Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back next time we visit Blue Mountain.

What a disappointment to see one of my favorite restaurants get this bad! I have been coming here for years, often driving two hours just to have a dinner here. Food was amazing and so was the overall experience. Today, food was awful. No taste whatsoever. Lamb was awful, rice was awful and octopus was meh (served with some sauce and nothing else). Potatoes were pretty bad as well. Service was good. I hope they can be as good as they used to be again.

I’ve been going for years, and it was always stellar. Last night we went it was awful, and quiet. Seems their service is steering people away. I found a bone in my roasted chicken pasta. The server didn’t do anything for us, and said it’s possible it was missed… My partner had the lamb shank. Lamb was decent but the rice and potatoes were flavourless and tasted old. Not fresh at all.

Make sure you have a reservation as this place gets super busy and walk-ins are usually turned back (especially on a busy day). Probably one of the best places in the village.

They used to be a good. Went there past weekend, noticed their portions are much smaller. I ordered grilled octopus and they gave me 2 pieces, and on their web picture it shows 3! I even showed them and he said it's probably based on a weight, but my octopus was not big at all!
Also not happy with this statement:

What is this? Are they serious?

Our first experience at Tholos was in August, so due to the great food and positive experience we brought friends back on this occasion. What a great evening, made more so by the knowledgeable and friendly server, Jasper. Attentive and relaxed in her role she walked us through the evening with great selections of both food and drink.
Menu items are of a good size and tasty. My preference is always taste over portion size and our table wasn’t disappointed. The kitchen was well staffed. They seemed like they enjoyed being there and even leaned out to welcome us.
For a weeknight it was busy. Obviously a fan favorite for many others.

It was wonderful! Excellent food & wine and our server Jasper made the experience perfect.

Lovely high end restaurant at Blue Mountain. The patio and the inside both have a great atmosphere. The food was pretty exceptional. While we were there, they had Bluelicious going on so they had special items. I had the whole grilled Branzino which was so good! The service was a little slow but at least you're in a nice location.

Had a great time both times coming here. Well worth the drive. The moussaka and the baklava cheesecake must try. Service was excellent.

Tholos is such a fun addition to the Blue Mountain village! The atmosphere is very casual and laid back, the decorations remind of a small tavern in Greece, the wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the menu is small but packs a punch. We ordered the octopus and calamari as apps; calamari was fried to perfection but the octopus was a tad chewy. Our mains included the chefs special, and lamb shanks. The rice was overpoweringly seasoned with Greek basil which may have been okay had it not been a sticky rice, I was expecting a more fluffy rice. My lamb was good but did not come out as broiled as the other lamb on the table, consistency was a bit underwhelming but it was also a very busy night. The chefs special was cooked to perfection though, but my favorite of the night was the drinks honestly. I would recommend coming here on a less busy night to get the best bang for your buck. The food was very filling but for the price we paid we left a tad underwhelmed. Overall, give this spot a try for a higher end meal while in the village!

Service was extremely fast and food was great. Took off 1 star because everything was so quite pricey.

I ordered a moussaka which is a gluten free Greek lazanga that has an eggplant base with soft ground beef and lamb and a player of special Greek cheese. I walked by the kitchen and you could see legit chefs preparing the food so I had a feeling it would be good. The food was delicious and served within half hour. We were immediately seated on a Saturday night. I'd definitely recommend.

Went here on a Sunday with 5 people and a toddler. For appetizers We ordered saganaki, fried calamari, and the bread basket that was supposed to have balsamic vinegar and Olive oil to dip but it never came so we just ate plain warm bread. For mains we ordered 3X lamb chops dinner, steak dinner and grilled octopus. First of all all these dishes lacked any flavour not even salt and pepper on any of the food. Everything tasted bland the only thing that had Greek flavour was probably the lemon potatoes. Everything else was so disappointing and the portions are sooo small for the price. Literally 1/2 a cup of rice with 2 carrots 4 green beans and 2 pieces of beets. It was a joke. Mr. Greek tastes better and that’s saying a lot! We have no problem paying premium for restaurants at attraction places like blue mountain but atleast make your food taste good! We spent $370 and tip is automatically included at 18% save your money and eat elsewhere.

We’re a huge fan of lamb chops - Greek style of course! This place did not disappoint one bit! Octopus was spot on, as well as the burgers. Don’t forget their lemonade, it’s a beauty!

It was Friday night (7pm) and we had a table for 2 kids under 10 and 2 adults. Overall took about 2 hours for our food to arrive. - It was almost One hour and 1/2 wait for two side salads and then about another 1/2 hour for the meal (which was 2 orders of chicken fingers off the kids menu, 1 chicken Slovakia and 1 lamb shank). Basically 2 hours for the food to arrive as our side salads should have came with our main meals. It was busy, they only had one server upstairs. The server was very nice and apologized often, however it was out of her control. The food was good, just the length of wait was unacceptable.

Satisfied with the food and service over there, considering what we ordered and the size of portion, a bit pricy for the choice!

Meh. I wanted to love this place. My husband loved the lamb. I ordered chicken souvlaki. Two sides - potatoes and veggies that were tasteless and just warm. The tzatziki didn’t even save me. The meal was ok but didn’t wow me. No bread to the table always disappoints me. $76 for two plates, no bread or drinks … I can hear my mother now “you know how big a roast and how many potatoes I could buy with $76? ! ” I didn’t order dessert … not that I didn’t deserve it but felt I needed to cut my losses at this dining experience and have dessert back at the hotel <wink wink>. Dessert was 10/10.

Poor quality food for an expensive price. We had a group of 5 and were never told that there was a mandatory 18% gratuities. When we asked the waiter, he gave us attitude. Spend your money elsewhere.

Excellent Greek restaurant with a lot of ambiance and well prepared food. Wonderful choices from starters to dessert.
Service was very good even though quite busy.

Worst food ever, uncooked rice, uncooked vegetable, burnt bones for lamb chops and $280 dollars later.

We were a party of 3 and all were impressed with the service, taste and quality of the food. Our server was attentive and friendly, the food was delicious. Perhaps a little expensive, but it’s Blue Mountain.

Beware of this place, service wasn't even that great and the food was overpriced for the portions you get. Ordered the chicken souvlaki with rice and lemon roasted potatoes. The chicken was very bland, rice undercooked and the potatoes tasted like they were boiled not roasted. Very disappointed for a 31$ meal. Would not recommend. They also charge an 18% gratuities charge if you have more than 5 people so beware.

Service from Spiros was outstanding! Our experience was exceptional, we never had to wait for a drink and the food came out perfectly timed. He was very attentive and made my birthday very special with a surprise dessert and song. Delicious food and wonderful dining experience. Great music, great food, great vibes, GREAT SERVICE. Thank you Spiros!
