Now open to the public, the fisher rare book library is a treat for bibliophile’s. Its cathedral like interior mirrors the homage books of this calibre should receive. The library’s turkey like exterior parallels for me a hunger for knowledge. Highly recommend both in spring to see the cherry blossoms near the library but also anytime to see the library itself.

I was here a few weeks ago for the Faculty of Information showcase week and it was the coolest place I have ever been to. Ever. Like there is absolutely no comparison to walking into this building and see the shelves upon shelves upon shelves of rich history they have. That and the staff (I’m sorry I forgot your names but you were lovely!) were extremely kind and patient with our tour group and so happy to answer questions. I can’t wait to spend more time here when I’m a student.

Definitely worth a visit. A little hard to find the door to get in, as many entrances were closed.

Entrance is from the second floor. Anyone can enter. When you enter, you can only look at the exhibits, and you cannot enter the book corner.

If you want to check out some Medieval manuscripts and experience what it’s like to be in a library from that of Harry Potter, U of T’s Thomas Fisher library would satisfy your interests.

Very cool library, you can visit but you can't go and touch the books, because they are special and unique you need to request an appointment and someone of the staff will help you. Anyway we were lucky and have a tiny exhibition of old books.

I enjoyed the opportunity to attend a book fair and an exhibition of ancient manuscripts. It's a gorgeous, majestic library with excellent staff to help you out.

Arguably one of the most fascinating libraries in Canada, the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library houses the Rare and Special collections of the University of Toronto. The library strives to preserve these collections while making them entirely accessible to the public – any visitor may request to personally view and handle the library’s holdings

Great job with Doors Open on Sunday, you really couldn't bother like everywhere else partaking in the full two day event by staying open. Within my 15 seconds of arriving there to find out and feel stupid, 8 other people found out too, disappointed.

Stunning library like none other! Glad I could enjoy such an experience this past weekend for the open doors event.
