I’ve been coming here for years now and every year they continue to add more and more selection. The ciders are great, as are the mixed drinks! There’s something here for everyone. Not just cider. The atmosphere is very inviting, and we love sitting in the outdoor igloos. Bonus that they’re no extra charge! Service has always been attentive and friendly. Also appreciate the pour sizes! This place is a must!
Visited mid afternoon as a destination during our afternoon walk. Unfortunately arrived to find they do not have high chairs or booster seats available, so were unable to stay. Bought some pretty good ciders and a tshirt from their store and walked back to our hotel.
Update: rating upgraded based off of quick response from management.
On the weekend I went to Thornbury, the weather was nice and they have live music in the outdoor area. Other than the nice vibe, nice people, the food and drinks are only so-so.nothing too amazing that makes me wanna buy few extra cans to bring it home.
This local establishment has a rustic and cozy atmosphere, featuring a wide selection of locally crafted ciders and beers on tap. The menu includes a variety of locally brewed options, along with some imported ones. Customers can enjoy tasting flights to sample different flavors, and the basic food menu complements the beverages with items such as artisanal charcuterie boards, and daily special appetizers. Thornbury Craft Cider & Beer focuses on supporting local breweries and offers a welcoming environment for beer and cider enthusiasts to socialize and enjoy quality beverages.
They have a nice selection of cider and beer. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. The food selection is pretty slim, but that's not really the reason to go there.
A truly nice place to just sit back and relax. Menu consists of just appetizer type offerings so head there with that in mind. Was thrilled to find out that 2 or 3 of them are gluten free.
My absolute favourite cider! Nothing has ever come close. Excellent customer service and even better cider, especially the cranberry and honeycrisp ones.
We stopped here after visiting the local sites and tried the pretzels with a flight of cider - both of which were great. My husband's favorite cider was the blood orange which is a limited production product. Staff were cordial and the service was was quick. Suggestion to management- it would be great to have a few more affordable options as sides but we appreciate the cost of food and delivery charges might be affecting the overall situation. Keep up the great work!
I have been a fan of thornbury’s ciders for about 3 years now. Especially the cranberry cider it just can’t be beat. So I was super excited to finally make it down to the brewery after covid made it nearly impossible to do so the last 2 years. We were seated promptly and the service was great. We discovered new favourites and though they have only a couple options for snacks- they were delicious! This will definitely be a new summer destination spot each year. Highly recommend. Be sure to check out their store too- was happy to find some of the new favourites we discovered available to buy!
I'm not a fan of alcoholic beverages, but my partner is and he loves trying places like this. I'm glad I went with him! I tried the spicy apple cider and absolutely loved it. We got a bunch to bring home too. Lol He loved his beer and was sad when it was sold out to buy. But we enjoyed our time here and will for sure come back again.
While you can get Thornbury ciders at LCBO, they have some flavours that are only available at the brewery. They have several choices of flights of cider or you can build your own. A few of our favourites were the raspberry, blueberry, and rosé ciders, which were sweet and great for summer! You can also order small bites (charcuterie plate, chips and dip, pretzels) to accompany your drinks. Both indoor and outdoor seating was available. A nice little stop if you're in the area!
Great establishment. Nice patio. Yummy ciders! Tried few different beers. Really amazing place. Our server was amazing, sorry didn’t get her name. She just lived to the area. Great service. Thornbury gets 5 stars because of this server. They need to up their game for food but overall experience was great. Ladder Lager gets 5 stars. Tour 1 of 3
We had a really love time at Thornbury Cider. We opted for a cider flight to share and a charcuterie board. The charcuterie could be made gluten friendly, which was helpful! Lovely array of things to nibble while we enjoyed some really nice ciders. The weather was perfect which isn’t something that can be fairly reviewed but was a bonus anyhow! Our server was very friendly and helpful, service was prompt as well.
This is a fantastic brewery! The building, the location, the patio, but most of all the beer and the service! I enjoyed every beer I tried which is unusual and our server was excellent!
A great place to taste some flights and share some snacks. Amongst a group of us we tried three different flights of ciders and beers and didn’t find a drink we didn’t like. They were all so thirst quenching. For food, it’s mostly snacks consisting of shareables. If vegan or plant based, the pretzel bites and dip platter (hummus) are great options. As a bonus, it’s a fairly Kid friendly place too.
We stopped in at about 11.00am so did not have lunch but did enjoy a flight of ciders and the pretzels on the patio. A very pleasant experience on a warm summer morning. The ciders are very good and I especially liked the Honeycrisp and Classic ciders. The "no sugar" seems too thin/light on flavour. I did not taste any beers but from previous experience know them to be good. I highly recommend visiting and enjoying this cidery, you won't be disappointed.
Visited their shop a few times to purchase ciders, the staff are always very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend trying the blood orange cider, I promise you won’t regret it!
My wife and I enjoyed some beer and cider on the patio at the Thornbury Craft Company on a nice, hot Sunday afternoon. We split a flight of cider and beer. I enjoyed the Road Apples Cider and the Blood Orange Cider. I chose Clark is in Session IPA and Grooziskie for my beer flights. Both were excellent. Only downside is there was limited seating with shade. The upside, they are pet friendly so we brought our pup and they provided her with a water bowl. They had a guitarist playing music which was nice to listen to as we sampled our drinks. There were plenty of cyclists that stopped in to rest and quench their thirst. We will be back again in the fall.
Great beer. You can purchase beer, and cider at their retail store as well as tshirts, sweaters, touques, glasses and a few other souvenirs. U can sample beer and they have a few food items to choose from. Prices are good.
Thank you for the lovely time here. The ciders are amazing and after trying some knew i needed to bring some home. The staff are some of the friendly and most kind people.
Loved the fact that after a long bike ride they allowed our puppy to hang out on the patio. This was amazing as it's such a huge help to socializing our puppy. The food was delicious and absolutely love the raspberry cider. Will be back for sure
Was totally underwhelmed by their selection. Ciders were all way too sweet and beers were boring and uninspired. They should rethink their business plan and choose something to do well instead of trying to do everything and barely making an average product. Do yourself a favour and head out to Spy Cider and Distillery for a cider or a cocktail.
So great. If you're a fan of their cider, I highly recommend it. They have so many exclusive ciders you can only get here. Took the trek from the 905 for it and would do it again.
